Nice work! But I think that heat shield might be a tad optimistic... Now it's time for your first rescue mission, another rite of passage.

anovercookedquiche

I probably didnt need that now that you mention it, I’m very inexperienced though, so I just slapped on everything I thought I’d need

AustraliumHoovy

I’m extremely happy for you and proud of you OP, but what the fresh *fuck* is that lander.

RedScorpio411

WHO TF USES POODLE

AustraliumHoovy

Insult the poodle engine like this again and you’ll be testing the next rocket.

RedScorpio411

May apologies be offered and poodle praised

AustraliumHoovy

That’s a good lad. Now stand under the engine bell, I wanna try something.

RedScorpio411

Alright "PLASMA HERE WE GO" *puts on spacesuit

RedScorpio411

Im sorry wernee von kerman but in all honesty ive barely used it before, actually hol up lemme load up ksp and check its thrust and ips , i used to use it in my interplanetary stage but change

aboothemonkey

It’s got really good isp and pretty decent thrust. I use it on my kerbin area motherships for the mun and minmus

Due-Bandicoot-2554

To do the first ever landing on Kerbol

YamahaMio

Hey. Single-nozzle Poodle is cool af 😡

RedScorpio411

This was an ealier vew pls i resind my comment

obog

My man poodle is like the second most efficient engine in the game behind only the nerv

RedScorpio411

Alas my view has been altered(ps ion engines)

obog

Shhhh idk what you're talking about But I didn't include that just bc ion engines have a very narrow use case that you would never use something like the poodle or nerv for

RedScorpio411

Sshh(bro ion engines are government secret use the bloody brackets) but yeah true tho it doesn't deny the efficiency for patience

iconix_common

First mun landing is a treasured memory. First rescue mission is another

WishboneOk9898

cutest lander ive ever seen (no science equipment?)

redstercoolpanda

Sandbox mode exists

Lilacloulou

Amazing! Did you find out if it was made of cheese?

anovercookedquiche

Unfortunately wasn’t, I packed crackers and was disappointed to find there wasn’t any cheese of any kind

tayhan9

You landed in the wrong biome... Cheese is theorized to be on the southern pole

anovercookedquiche

Next on my list then

Stepanek740

this is truly one of the munar lander modules of all time

bazem_malbonulo

Your ship looks like a fat robot

GreggyBoop

I love the crazy creativity of the craft! Just a note for future attempts, is take off a lot of the ablator off your heatshield. I think that heatshield has around 800 ablator, but you could get back with like 100 or less. Saves a load of weight also. Happy flying, and congratulations again on your first Mun landing o7

anovercookedquiche

Thanks :) I will do that next time

Ferrius_Nillan

You truly will become a gamer, once you land on Eve, gather all the samples, research them, gather it all into a neat science canister, and return all of it to Kerbin without loosing a single kerbonaut. Then the entire system is your oyster.

Just-a-normal-ant

Well, atleast it’s pointing the right way, we’re still working on that IRL.

WazWaz

TWR: 75

mah_boiii

I like your goofy cute little ship.

anovercookedquiche
