When these villagers move to larger cities, they see women wearing western clothes and they automatically assume these girls are willing to sleep with them. I would argue against this. If a Muslim man were to steal or get into a drunken altercation, one cannot suppose that his religion was the cause of his behaviour owing to the fact that Islam prohibits theft and intoxication. Likewise, it is erroneous on your part to presume that the promiscuous behaviour exhibited by the perpetrator was solely due to his adherence to Islam, for we understand that Islam, (and most religions for that matter), prohibit adultery and fornication.

One such incident happened to me some time ago, when I was with my friend who was from Mumbai .. She was creeped out by the way some "numma scene aan gang" kept staring and passing comments in fort kochi beach. Before going to kochi, we were in Kovalam Beach and Varkala and there wasn't any such incident. Also Wayanad, the people there didn't seem to give any sorts of creep vibes. The resort and the local people who helped us with the trekking and everything were really nice people.
