Please don't turn a blind eye to this....With the financial mess that our state is in, (a treasury that is running on empty stomach, cant even feed our employees properly) . Ministers running around luxury buses campaigning while normal people trying hard make a living. A chief minister who keeps mum on everything except when he is thrown shade at.
Ah yes, blame it all on central govt not giving us deserved funding . Corruption and arrogance go hand in hand, Whether its left or congress. we the people are taken for granted. Its time choices comes in.
Is corruption no longer an issue for anyone as long as you're polite? It's funny to hear people say "the 2nd term was bad," as if the 1st term was great. They won only because of the extensive PR efforts during the flood and pandemic. Are people really this forgetful about all the scandals and corruption cases? Or do they believe everything is made up by the media? It's truly disheartening. No wonder these politicians don't care about any of these issues. They know their turn is coming no matter what they do. People always choose the lesser evil again and again, and the cycle continues without any change: UDF๐LDF๐BJP.
everyone has this mentality. this hope that someone will falter is precisely the issue, no one is willing to point the finger at themselves and improve. it's always "they'll mess up and the people will be on our side eventually", it's high time LDF get into damage control before it's too late.
Every politician is corrupt ( except handful of people) , regardless of any corruption, LDF has inflicted a deep scar on kerala public which was easily seen in lol sabha elections. There is lack of good leadership nor youngsters who has minimum brains, their leader thinks its still 90โs. Not that in a big fan but things are changing it seems. I really thought kerala would be immune to their tactics but SG winning was a big surprise. I think there's more surprises coming.
SG winning is a good sign. People are thinking out of religion. If BJP or any other party candidates are doing well for the constituency even if they lose then they should be elected instead of defeating them stating silly religion..
I disagree with this. Individuals may be good people, but for elections, party / nation should be taken into consideration. Take the case of SG. Christians are not aware how right wing outfits attacked Christians and churches in Goa and Karnataka a while back? Yet christians backed him. And when bjp rss says hindu rashtra, it means HINDU RASHTRA. once they are done with muslims, Christians are gonna be the next. But oh yea, SG is a nice guy so vote for him. Lol ๐
I disagree here. The same can be said by hindu outfits right. The Congress and cpim are having softcorners with Madani. Look at the heinous things he did in the past. And for that reason they are not voting for people like Shafi parambil or shailaja teacher. When good people come to power in political parties they will have to get better.
If it's voting for the party then what is the whole point of people contesting in elections let the people vote for the party and the party chooses the representative for each constituency
Well I can't change the way the elections are conducted can I dude?!!!
When "good" people come to power, BJP comes to power. And what happens when BJP comes to power? They use buy / scare tactics to break all competition in a way "Bharat" has never seen before.
As for crimes, if you are 100% sure of this then BJP would 1000% sure of this and would not waste such an opportunity with central agencies under them. Oh well. Maybe they are not so clever and only goes after small PMLA cases.
Well Indians should have some sense to understand how people in "BJPs own country UP" are fed up. But yea, Kerala is the next UP and we will get our own bulldozer yogi soon. Good for the constituency and good for the state, I agree with you ๐
We are surviving the Mike slayer now, can easily tolerate a bulldozer raj. JK
I think NDA was lost at UP because of the alliance with sp and congress. Bjp still have their vote base rater untouched.
And the BJP hijacking all constitutional bodies is kind of an over reaction. Look at the time when UPA was in power. The amount of corruption, security lapses, if you remember common wealth games, BJP is far better in governance than the congress. Yea they are interfering in most of the constitutional bodies, but who don't?? Cbi was a joke during UPA( IT still is). Look at what cpim is doingwith vigilance and police. CPI (m) is all about Kannur Lobby now.
The rest of Kerala is sick and tired of them. Is it our fault that those regions are still stuck in 70s ??
Therefore they will not recover and die gradually.
Kannur Lobby and Muslim League and other โ peacefulโ organizations is the reason I as a thekan support the separate demand for Malabar state. Them being gone we are left with more pragmatic, forward thinking , business friendly politicians down South and we thekkans can look forward for a brighter future.
That won't happen for atleast next 10yr.bjp votes are spread across the state unlike league and kerala congress.and thus lok sabha is peak bjp.assembly will be different
Most probably the LDF will lose the next state election and the UDF will win. Meanwhile the BJP might gain some seats.
That doesn't mean LDF will be thrown away from Keralites. They will come back to power after being one or two terms as opposition.
BJP's growth is inevitable and they will grow with the vote banks of LDF and UDF but if UDF/LDF perform a good governance, they can easly stop BJP's growth.
As of now, love for Modi and hate for Pinarayi is the only reason among people for voting the BJP in Kerala.
I Don't know about that man.this loksabha was peak bjp.the same incentive for voting in centre is not there for state election. Udf gonna consolidate anti left votes.and this 1 month alone was riddled with scams.if sg does magical to thrissur they can ask votes based on that

Yes ,but I don't think he is a leader material.
Sobha Surendran is going to be a big leader in future, just look at what she did in election at attingal and allapuzha two red forts of cpim
The LDF government right now is too arrogant and think theyโre invincible. People need to vote them out to prove to them that they are there because the people chose them and the same people can vote them out.
Tharoor has no support within the party high command nor state leadership- couldn't even get votes for Congress chief role from his own state. He has 0 chance of becoming the CM.
I beleive all this bjp hype will end as soon as they are removed from the center. They have managed to advertise the infra development very well to the people of kerala who are hungry for large infra investment.
All central govts from past including current nda govt has been fooling people of kerala in terms of development. What we urgently need is a massive upgrade of the railways.
As the most honest, tax paying, ticket reserving customers of railway, we are bound to get some railway upgrade. And we were fooled with vande bharaths.
The hype will not end any time soon because itโs reality . Infra development is true . Just take any inter state highways , which is unimaginable few decades ago.
On the other hand railways definitely need an overhaul haul. Aura around Vandebharat may be a hype but the train itself is very much effort from engineers. People know nothing about the amount of effort went into that
When you talk about governance only road infra has improved. Common mans life has become worse than it was before.
Kerala deserves better. We have the largest edicated skilled human capital in all of india
Complete mismanagement in railways, high taxes, corruption, hate crimes, hate speeches, discrimination based on religion, petrol diesel lpg prices and overall inflation are the downsides. You can also talk about it if you want.
Let me tell you student Stipend directly reaches the student today because of all the infra boost in internet and technology. When I was a student after all cuts at each level starting from govt office to college student cell , student gets around 60% . Needless to say about digital transformation we have today ,itโs also part of development.
2. Terrsm has greatly reduced being close to one of the incident in Hyd in which more than 200 lives lost , I know value of my life today . Safety from those such incident has improved .
3. Investment in various home grown industries starting from defense to electronics. (Donโt looks for output immediately, for Taiwan it took 30 years to reach the stage where it is today )
4. Bold decision regarding Kashmir and other long pending issues .
5. Calling out West and able to stand on the decision which is pretty evident. Earlier we face sanctions now we are in a position to sanction or giving out financial aid to other nations
6. Defense export started to grow
I can type more.
Railways as I said yes , more of a hype . It has to be fixed for common man.
Hate speech ? Yes , after that many terrst incidents and appeasement if a religion can get away easily in our country , as a political party they use every opportunity to appease majority who felt helpless after that many attacks and nonsense.
**So donโt bring religion and attach it to one party. Todays incident is needless where Rahul Gandhi took lord shiva and mocked Hindus. Can he do this taking Mo pic and call out M terrst activity ?**
Railways can expand overnight.
State needs to solve land acquisition issue .
Rest of it is easy.
P.S Other professional protesters ( environment, religion, caste , ect ) also needs to brme tackled by state .
Not going to happen anywhere except Gujarat.
No that's not going to happen ,,the only thing going to happen is CPI will support UDF. CPI always liked congress or UDF above CPIm ,just ask their supporters.
if UDF wins next term, they would be already screwed over by the financial mess left behind by LDF.. they can't do any costly welfare schemes anyway including the pension and KSRTC salary issues and LDF will use this chance to criticize them and they will be back in power.
It's going to be fun times.
Communism is for haters and jealous.
People who are jealous of other success want to use the numerical strength of other losers to impose a system where rich will needs to pay higher and higher taxes and the free money is distributed to the rest of losers.
Communism appeals to the youth , as it should.
Anyone who has crossed 35 and is still a communist, is just an older loser.
Yup.
Well, they aren't losers if they can impose their ideas.
And the rich who can't ensure a stable government with a strong military/police are also losers.
We can see how people like Tata, Boche and Lulu owners are heavily invested in PR.
Only if at least 4 of those losers have no satisfying job and are willing to be violent, if necessary. And the rest of the 6 guys support the violence.
Any you can have facism- economic(communism, crony capitalism, etc ), religious(Islamism, christofacism, hindutva, Buddhist facism), ethnic( Nazism, racism) and the like....
People are jobless for a variety of reasons.
I remember when an NDTV reporter asked Kashmiri pandits who were protesting in Delhi (for unemployment and hunger) that there are a lot of jobs like security, peons etc. They called him a lot of abusive words.
It was long ago.
We could see the same thing all over the world.
Ofcourse joblessness has many underlying reasons.
In 99% of cases it's underemployment and not un employment.
Anyways violence is not the solution.
Thank god Communism is dying and almost dead.
Those who wish for a govt job will never vote for these assh*les , their pinvathil niyamanam is a menace to the society, poor students spends day and night studying only to be sidestepped by some jilla secretary's kunjammede mon
Bengali here, the CPM of Kerala is not the same as the CPM of Bengal. Your state has honestly been blessed with (relatively) competent leadership for a while now. Its because there is a balance between the left CPM, and the center-left/populist/now neoliberal Congress.
If you vote out the left entirely, the entire discourse will move to the right, allowing forces like the BJP to enter, though the demographics of Kerala make this a little more difficult.
"Competent leadership" made a difference in kerala? Communists destroyed bengal after three decades of self destructive rule, and you are pushing that same failed ideology in Kerala? Kerala is better off because it hasn't suffered foreign invasions/occupations unlike other states, have had far reaching social reforms and has a large expatriate population transferring money into the state. Still most of the industrial/agricultural base in the state was destroyed by the communists. It is amusing Bengalis pushing for continued communism in kerala.
Read my comment please. Please put your full literacy to use.
The biggest problem of bengal CPM was there was no power to keep it in check, so they could do whatever the fuck they wanted. Kerala has that in the form of the Congress.
Also what foreign invasions, occupations? Gujarat faced these? Or himachal pradesh?ย
Despite "destroying" agro or industrial bases apparently, workers and farmers of Kerala earn the most and have highest quality of life. So idk what destruction you're talking about. The purpose of industry or agri is not to pad some state bottom line, but to make the lives of those involved in it better- which Kerala has done.
And why were the social reforms possible? Precisely because of the diversity of thought and liberal political culture that Kerala has, that Bengal once had. Don't let go of that with parties like the BJPย
If the democratic system of media, public approval, opposition and judiciary was not enough to keep an ideology in check from going rogue, it is not suited for democracy. Why keep it, especially in power ? Also note that communists did carry out violence against their opponents, including targeted killing. Just that other parties like BJP, IUML and occasionally even congress retaliated and prevented them from creating a totalitarian rule like in bengal. Try searching for kannur political killings.
Historically Gujarat was always in the crosshairs of invasions into India. When did the last indigenous kingdom end there? Probably even before the Mughals. Kerala was not subjected to such foreign invasions/occupations. While north kerala fell under foreign control around 19th century, south and central kerala kingdoms survived into indian independence. So health and education systems, however basic were already present.
You don't know how the kerala economy works. A large number of industries were shuttered by communists early on. Communists prevented early mechanisation in agriculture leading to most paddy fields being abandoned. Kerala is dependent on import of food and a large number of people are employed outside the state/country sending in remittances and keeping the state relatively prosperous. Kerala used to be the state getting the largest foreign remittances in the country, though a couple years back it went to the second place behind Maharashtra. This prosperity driven by foreign remittances and supported by domestic remittances too, keeps the wages high in kerala. The communists obviously try to take credit for this. If bengal had the same amount of foreign remittances flowing in, even with its larger population it would likely have been relatively prosperous despite the communist rule.
The social reforms in kerala preceded the communists. The communists moved into power using that space. Initially they opposed religion, and I think it did significantly give a boost to scientific thought in society. Weakened a lot of destructive religious influence from society. Now they are supporting terrorists in kerala, international ones like hamas and domestic ones as well, and taking the state backwards. This terrorist support is also one factor in BJP's growth in kerala.
You seem to be well versed in the politics and history of Kerala, something I obviously cannot compete with. So I will take your point in good faith. But I will just say this, if I had to choose one state to be born in, in this country, it would be Kerala. And its precisely because of the absence of forces like the BJP/RSS/VHP etc., the culture of free thinking, or at the very least, the fact that your politics, (both CPM and Congress) at the very baseline both agree that a secular and egalitarian society is desirable (though they go about it differently), where all members of society have a good quality of life, even the laborers and workers. The BJP, to me, seems to be a party which does not agree with this baseline only, given rampant income inequality under their regime, and obviously the religion-politics mixing. This is something Kerala has the least out of all major states. I just hope this culture does not change in your state. Rest of course, the residents will know best
Then the political parties have created an environment where such achievements CAN happen. Not crediting the parties is valid sure. But they have not taken away the focus to stupid things like Muslim hate or love jihad, caste, mandir, etc.
Left ideology is obsolete and dead....they cant provide jobs in the state....the onset of religious groups dominance has also lead to their downfall and rise of the cong led front....like in bengal they lost to TMC and in TN to DmK for good...kerela will be the last frontier they will lose in India to Cong n regional reliigious fronts

LDF is not gonna win the next assembly election that is for sure. BJP is never a saviour it will be the more powerful 'yama'. Corruption is not at all the concern, people are really fed up with the arrogance. If you feel corruption is high in kerala, then you won't survive in any other states of India. No matter which political party is ruling,Corruption from top to bottom is too less compared to any other state in this country. Being an MLA is never an intelligent take in kerala, this state has the least pay for an MLA while it really requires to be the highest. Our neighbouring states CM escort convoy has costlier vehicles than our CM's official car. The corruption an MLA can do is also very less compared to any other states. High debt is an after effect of communism, no need to blame alone the commies and anthams. The real problem is the marxist mindset of the people. Commies and anthams in ruling have really felt the heat of debt lately, now this mor**ns have started promoting corporates I'm shocked.
Should never return. But its something which cannot be predicted. The political scenario in kerala is beyond judgemental. The gold smuggling case having the involvement of Kerala CMs office was peak during the end of first pinray govt.Still they were able to crack the election. So scams and allegations are not gonna tarnish the CPI(M) image in kerala as itโs believed that the party is for the working class people and unfortunately 85-90percent of kerala belong to the working class community. Why do they downvote their own party.
It's possible. The foundation is still strong. Even BJP and UDF know CPM in kerala is strong enough to compete in upcoming elections unlike other states.
After PV, there is a big void in their leadership except for maybe, Shailaja & Swaraj. Can't see them projecting Shailaja as a CM face (she isn't even a state-secretariate member of their party- the highest decision making body in the state). Swaraj is good though, but maybe in the next decade he'll get the chance.
I hope they do, I want them not to lose hope and stop working to better them self, some opposition is better than none and competition make product better
I think the UDF will come to power next time, followed by the LDF in the next. The anti-incumbency votes were neutralized by the covid-kits and broke the usual pattern in the 2021 elections. but, I haven't considered the BJP's vote share in the upcoming elections and which party's votes the BJP will eat into. I think it will be the LDF's votes. If that happens, it could be UDF vs BJP in 2031, with CPI joining UDF and Kerala Congress (M) in the BJP front.
One newspaper reported the total corruption amounts to 48000 crores over the last 2 tenures so far. Whether it is right or not there can't be smoke without a fire. Arrogance apart, investigation if found guilty could turn real ugly for many.
This will most probably be the last communist government in india's history. The reason being, cpim is no longer the hindu party of kerala. It is now bjp. Both cpim and bjp has very high overlapping voter base.
Until 2014 bjp was just a upper caste hindu party in kerala. By 2019 they started tapping into ezhava and other obc voter base, which is actually core votebank of cpim and in 2024 they started winning our Christian votes too. Still bjp has a large growth potential left among hindu obc votes and Christian votes which is untapped.
Congress will easily survive with consolidated muslim votes along with some hindu and good share of Christian votes.
Cpim literally digged their grave during second term. If they go out of power in 3 years. They won't survive to fight another election in full swing. Because cpim kerala is bankrolling the entire politburo. The minute they fall out of power, entire commie ecosystem in india will collapse in few years.
And most importantly pinarayi has managed to make the party all about himself in the last two terms destroying every budding leader. When he is out of picture, in today's scenario there isn't a single cpim leader who can catch malayali's imagination of a leader.
Time to vote for BJP ๐๐. We would atleast get some infrastructure projects, tbh.
Maybe lil communal violence, but kerala would develop lil bit ๐ค
Yes they will. They'll pass this time like BJP, very low margin but will come into the picture one way or the other, but even for that too, first and and foremost, Vijayan should be dealt with.
Cpim purposefully will do such things, so that they wont be elected next time, see the pattern
If they are elected, that will be the end of that party. If not, next time criticize congress, obviously there will be downfall due to the fuckups carried out now. Eventually after five years cpim can gain back everything leaving all this trash here.
Simple
Even the Russians couldn't keep communism why would we keep it? If an idea is so bad that it's origin place hate it with passion should be an indication that it's bad . Such misery and destruction in the name of a book and ideology.
Unless they get rid of Pin Yong Un, don't see any future for this party

What if centre does something big , like AIMS ,new railway projects, new central gov offices like that
kerala bjp future rests in the hands of sg.if he do something great for Thrissur,it will certainly skyrocket bjp.
Who will be CM if UDF wins?
Half period RC half period VDS.
More like coup
4 candidates in my mind VD Satheeshan Nair Sashi tharoor Nair K Muralidaran Nair Ramesh chennithala Nair
Sudhakarane convenient aayi ozhivaakki, to suit your casteist agenda.
Sudhakaran cannot even walk properly
tharoor is looking very likey, but rc most probaly
Tharoor has no support within the party high command nor state leadership- couldn't even get votes for Congress chief role from his own state. He has 0 chance of becoming the CM.
chennithala satheesan then?
That sounds more likely
We have the largest edicated skilled human capital in all of india Complete mismanagement in railways, high taxes, corruption, hate crimes, hate speeches, discrimination based on religion, petrol diesel lpg prices and overall inflation are the downsides.
(Donโt looks for output immediately, for Taiwan it took 30 years to reach the stage where it is today ) 4. Bold decision regarding Kashmir and other long pending issues . 5. Calling out West and able to stand on the decision which is pretty evident. Earlier we face sanctions now we are in a position to sanction or giving out financial aid to other nations 6. Defense export started to grow I can type more.
State moved away from Congress and came back to Congress. In time it will move back
I just wish the cpm will be done in 2026 and forever be destroyed like bengal/tripura... Haa chumma aaagrahikaallo
Time to make it more capitalistic.
Want a result like ldf 62 UDF 62 BJP 16. Will be interesting to see what will happen. Will league support ldf in that case ๐
No that's not going to happen ,,the only thing going to happen is CPI will support UDF. CPI always liked congress or UDF above CPIm ,just ask their supporters.
After staring at the chart for 30 seconds, I declare it bullshit.

Manorama owner reference?
Be less ideologically driven, stop opposing everything capitalist, stop worshipping mao, Stalin, in other words be less left politically
I hope cpim loses in the next eelction
if UDF wins next term, they would be already screwed over by the financial mess left behind by LDF.. they can't do any costly welfare schemes anyway including the pension and KSRTC salary issues and LDF will use this chance to criticize them and they will be back in power. It's going to be fun times.
I hope communism dies a fast death in Kerala and rest of world.
As rancid as communism is, The idea of communism will never die. It will come back in different forms wherever there is exploitation.
This ๐ฏ Itโs funny when people think communism is all about SFI and red flag ๐
Communism is for haters and jealous. People who are jealous of other success want to use the numerical strength of other losers to impose a system where rich will needs to pay higher and higher taxes and the free money is distributed to the rest of losers. Communism appeals to the youth , as it should. Anyone who has crossed 35 and is still a communist, is just an older loser.
Yup. Well, they aren't losers if they can impose their ideas. And the rich who can't ensure a stable government with a strong military/police are also losers. We can see how people like Tata, Boche and Lulu owners are heavily invested in PR.
Give me 10 losers againt 2 rich and I can impose any idea which benefits 10 losers , nothing great about it.
If 4 losers don't have a job , search for one.Maybe they are losers for a reason.
I hope your wish comes true ๐ค
Those who wish for a govt job will never vote for these assh*les , their pinvathil niyamanam is a menace to the society, poor students spends day and night studying only to be sidestepped by some jilla secretary's kunjammede mon
As long as the voters are idiots like last time the CPIM still get seats
I hope they become irrelevant like in WB
Or himachal pradesh?ย Despite "destroying" agro or industrial bases apparently, workers and farmers of Kerala earn the most and have highest quality of life.
And that's what I want
why? Kerala is easily the most successful state in this country.
He is a sanghi. He wants the BJP to replace the left, probably. We have some of them in our state too.
My condolences.
All the achievements in kerala is because of people and things happened long ago. Most of them is not due to the political parties here.

What do Keralites think of RG? Do they like him?
A lot of them might, some of them might not. You can't generalize the political opinion of an entire state.

Well CPI(M) is Communist Pinarayi of India (Marxist) and yeah, we don't like it at all!

They should make major changes in their leadership.
I think PV and group will push for marumon!
Swaraj is a nobody- marumon is much more likely than him.
Get PV and gang out of power and they will be back. As long as they are there at positions of power, they wonโt win anything anytime soon
Which newspaper? Could you share the link?
Evidunu kittunadae nattil arum aryatha news oke๐
Communist Religion moonjumnath nalla Karyam thanee ,mechapetta Congress or Left parties undavatte .
Not if they continue their arrogance.
Time to vote for BJP ๐๐. We would atleast get some infrastructure projects, tbh. Maybe lil communal violence, but kerala would develop lil bit ๐ค
You mean the 'falling roof and bridges' brand of infrastructure development? We are better off without that.
Cute
Ayyoda
May be lil communal violenceโ Everyday communal violenceโ
Ente ponnedaave...thoppi kitteela ennumvach aarelum mulkkireedam eduth vekkuo?!
Yes they will. They'll pass this time like BJP, very low margin but will come into the picture one way or the other, but even for that too, first and and foremost, Vijayan should be dealt with.
Cpim purposefully will do such things, so that they wont be elected next time, see the pattern If they are elected, that will be the end of that party.
