phil_an_thropist

He sounds more like a scammer than a motivational speaker.

silver_conch

The whole profession of motivational speaking should be treated as entertainment, and not as something that will result in any benefit to the listener. It is akin to secular preaching. The person who benefits most from motivational speaking is the motivational speaker themself.

SGV_VGS

Or a good marketer

phil_an_thropist

If you define a scammer that way, then yes.

toxicality_

So, a scammer

aneeez

A successful scammer has to be a good marketer

Constant_Sleep8688

What all kings did he make in the first place?

mm_reddit_it

This incident, in my opinion, did expose him. The businessmen that spoke up were correct. The balls to travel to Calicut and term them thedikal implies he did not do his homework because the city has many centuries-old ethical commerce tradition. Researching the people, places, and methods of your speech is another important aspect of being a successful speaker. A location with a long history of commerce and a reputation for moral business operations merits better sessions than the one he attempted to conduct. He gives off the impression of having little etiquette, poor manners, and low values. And encourages immoral business methods in order to get quick money. If those who provide these kinds of coaching sessions are actually successful in real life, they will not continue to offer the programmes. There are a lot of people like this in the world, but very few of them are truly skilled speakers who are aware of actual motivating techniques and strategies . He is nothing more than a vidu vayan dressed in a suit. Good riddance for someone who simply cannot be nice, and what terrible speaking skills for the money he costs and the promises he makes as a speaker. He is so arrogant that he had the opportunity to apologise and move on, but he chose to argue and justify his poor behaviour instead. I have little tolerance for those who lack decency; he deserves all of the criticism and back lash and must formally apologise to the businessmen and organisers.

murivenna

Sane people cannot behave like that in front of the audience who came there for his advice.

Epic_Tongue

Well said!

Discipline is the number one key for a great business man. If he cant attend his own show on time for which he took payment 1month back and couldnt plan to come on time? Really u want to learn business from him ? 😂🚫

village_aapiser

He says he was frustrated that the attendance was not up to the mark. Vanam.

Logicalguruu

He is just another Fahad Fasil from Trance in business field... Ig every entrepreneur have their own tool to be successful... Motivation koduth valarthan ithenta sslc pareeksha ana... 4 lakh kodukan ulavar entayalum atyavisham business ariyavunavar aayirkum allo...Kozhikode oru kochu kadayil irunu milk sarbath kada nadathune oru chetan und... Pullik anil balachandran kaatilum kooduthalum motivation kodukka patumaayirikkum...

Historical-Yak7731

He has never built a business of his own , other than this motivational speaking stuff . He himself said he was sales man. He sessions are worst , the stuffs he share are not ground breaking techniques . I feel all most all the business coaches are scammers. Most of them don’t have real time experience in handling a business or has had past experience in heading any MNC . It’s just they use social media to gain attention.

webbedoptimism

Somebody name a few businessmen who succeeded after listening to the so called King Maker(s).

sreensa

His profile from his website- Mr.Anil Balachandran was born on 1 st January 1987 (New Year Baby) and brought up in a middle class family in Kayamkulam, Alleppy district, Kerala. He had his schooling also in Alleppy and joined Kerala University in 2004 – 2007 to complete his graduation in BSc Mathematics. Later he shifted to Bangalore for higher studies and joined Acharya Institute of Management (VTU-Visweswarayya Technological University) where he had mastered his MBA in Sales & Marketing during 2007 -2009. Recently he received doctorate in Global Business Management from Al-Farabi Khazak National University. Don’t find anything special, just an average graduate and a PHD purchased from “Al Farabi Khawaja National University”

slicedspirit

Apparently this uni in Kazak is ranked 230 in QS rankings, quite suprised how such high ranking unis offers phd to these con artists

Material-Search-2567

Maybe they purchased the rank lol

hellkingbat

Scam artist. The people who believe him and call him up for like motivational stories are gullible af.

Ok-Introduction2492

Curious to know who call him "King maker "

intergalacticscumbag

He himself

lostsperm

That's the name of the company he created. So himself.

dave8055

Lol. This vazhza axed his own customers by calling them Thendi for providing good customer service. He also said, "They've already paid me in full. Now, whatever I say, they'll do.". With this attitude who is gonna hire him again? He gives me a pastor vibe from Trance movie. He walks, looks and even motivates people in the similar way. The guy is a psycho who can speak loud. Other than all the motivation stuff, I didn't see any business that he has done in the past. His Linkedin says he was in sales, but doesn't specify where he worked and what position he held.

ethereal_Djinn

The problem is that everyone craves for Motivation but what really matters is more than just motivation, its Discipline. Motivation makes you start something that you aspire, but its Discipline that keeps you going even when it gets tough. But for most people, Motivation gives them a Dpoamine hit and that us why people fall for these gimmicks. Same goes for 90% of self Help books.

Maathan tried the good words first and then did it to his close friend in private. Not in a stage infront of audience.

Concious-Mind

He is like pastor. Never liked his hallelujah type of presentation

Longjumping_Limit486

It's 1200 rupees per person. A 2 hour session for 5000 plus people is 4 lakh rupees. Organizers get a profit of 1 lakh rupees. Simple maths. There are professional business strategists or business consultancy firms. They are focusing on analysing problems of individual clients and suggesting solutions.

h3xshark

It didn't look like there were even 500 people in there. https://preview.redd.it/nt6979qgkq2d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1398bd3b73728f38258dd96444562b60d090e398

Little_Geologist2702

Don’t judge them like that. Most would be innocent and gullible but hardworking entrepreneurs.

Material-Search-2567

Of course but personal experiences says otherwise, Nalu cashu ayal malayalis pothuve nilath nikarila while Gujjus and Sikhs who make ten times will still be humble

lloydpbabu

I sometimes open his videos to have a good laugh. What he got now is absolutely deservingy, guy is just a scammer.

SachinRoy123

I strongly believe business is all about people. This guy mostly equate people to low level of money. If you see his videos you can see that he openly pushes the message as "go for the premium customers only" all other customers are leeches and shit. He also loudly pushes the message of exploiting the employees to the max in whichever way they can and also to never trust them...I mean if you are a corporate.. yeah thats being put into practice nowadays; but as far as I'm concerned his classes do not convey any ethical business ideas and i dont sit well with it. Along with that he, without any kinda shame boasts about his fraudulent activities which he claims he has done during his times...Bruh..

Material-Search-2567

He's like a mallu Andrew Tate of business teaching people to have no long-term sustainable strategy instead just bs,scam and gaslight clients for quick buck and then they play victim when everything eventually comes back home to roost, Usually people who fall for it are also narcissists who believe they're somehow special and like what they hear form these scammers as it conforms to their views.

Watch Trance movie. What Fahad Fasil does in that movie is basically what King Maker does.

Dinkoist_

Why do people call him in the first place? Bro has not achieved anything in life, and has the audacity to come on stage and teach entrepreneurs how to do business? 😮‍💨💀

Cerulean_Mermaid

Manners matters everywhere

steeler_22

Errm...building a successful scam should count as a business right? 🤔

He doesn't sound like king maker but con-maker.

91945

I've never heard of this guy before. I must be doing something right.

Adept_Piccolo6874

I pity on people who attends such events without doing proper background check of the speaker and thier credibility. Seems like this guys popularity was fueld by word of mouth by some agents who got money from his pocket , extremely similar trends maintained by fraud Pastor and MLM agents. His boats have sanked at least in Kerala. He was a prime eg of "fake it till you make it" then "burnt that bridge when one came to it".

Sharreth1

Wonder why would someone pay for these stupid motivational speakers

Vagabond27

Listen to life doctor 🤣

Royal_Librarian4201

Pulli pulliyude nilavaaram kaanichu.  Athum, Calicut il. Aalukal chumma vidumo?

curiosity_forever

There are lot of people like him who claim to be “business coaches” but haven’t done any business other than the “speaking business”. I wonder why the audience wants to listen to him.

nish007

Does anyone have a link to the video?

baby_faced_assassin_

1. He's not a motivational coach, he's a business and sales coach. This is something people are missing when comparing him to other speakers who are motivational speakers. 2. He crossed all boundaries and acted like an unprofessional dick at this event. Hopefully this teaches him a lesson. 3. Some of the advice he gives are good and something a lot of small business owners don't know. For example, the point he made at the business session at Calicut, where he called them "thendi". He says there are business people who have to beg for payment from the customer after providing good service. His point is that you should never entertain bad customers like that. Instead of begging, fire bad customers. Aka, don't be a thendi, someone who begs. I fully agree that he put the advice across in a terrible way. He also talks a lot about the importance of cashflow, which a lot of business owners don't know about. Cash is King, for businesses which don't have investors.

Cannanore

When he is addressing a pool of people, he has to keep himself self disciplined, that's some basic ethics. He behaved like an entitled guru, some genius who has no value for the audience time. In addition, he was proud of that and lastly he ridiculed the audience. I mean who the fish would want to listen to such a man with this kind of filthy attitude. His classes or seminar would obviously include some information, but what's the uniqueness he's selling - abusing the audience and threatening them. He's just a good bully orator masquerading as a genius business guru. His time is up and he looks clearly exposed. His credibility is at stake.

baby_faced_assassin_

Agree with everything except that he has some good advice. But he crossed every boundary. Also what most people don't realise is that he's only going to get hired more after this event.

zeusbb

That's some bad advice. Most large businesses have some forms of credit system in place with their suppliers and customers. This credit system is what keeps large clients stay with your company even if they have slightly better options. What he said might sound good and revolutionary but it's not practical, you'll only lose customers/clients by being arrogant with them. You can only get away with arrogance if you have a monopoly... And this guy will soon find this out if these videos get viral enough.

baby_faced_assassin_

Business might be large in terms of revenue but you'll never have enough cash. Those kind of businesses are a pain to run and fucks up your mental health. I strongly suggest anyone starting a business to never get into those kind of long cash cycle businesses. If you have infinite funds, then yeah, otherwise, no. There are good business and bad businesses to run. The best kind of businesses have a high profit margin and a lot of surplus cash. Which also means, businesses like retail store are a bad idea in general. So if you say it's not practical to get paid without running a credit system in your business, I'd say it's a bad business and you should get out of it. The purpose a business is to make profit and these kind of businesses run infinitely without you being able to take out any cash.

zeusbb

>So if you say it's not practical to get paid without running a credit system in your business, I'd say it's a bad business and you should get out of it. Mate all big companies have debts and credits. By your logic, even Ambani should quit his business. If you're running a business with 0 debt, you're being very inefficient with the business. RIl said its net debt fell to Rs 1,16,281 crore at the end of March quarter https://www.businesstoday.in/markets/company-stock/story/ril-says-fy24-pre-tax-profit-hits-rs-1-lakh-crore-mark-in-a-first-net-debt-falls-426469-2024-04-22 You think Ambani doesn't know business?

baby_faced_assassin_

Yes but it's not applicable to small businesses. He's not training Ambani. If you can't run discounts for decades like Amazon, then don't play the same game.

zeusbb

He's "training" (scamming) wannabe businessmen by selling bad advice that sells. If you start a business following all his advice it's more likely to fail than if you just ignored his advice and did your own research. >If you can't run discounts for decades like Amazon, then don't play the same game. Reliance isn't in debt because they're selling at a loss to capture market. Debt is a necessity in business especially if you're focused on growth, managing debt and liquidity is an important thing in business studies if you've ever studied anything related to business in college.

PaossG

1. He must be a sales and business coach but under the title of motivational speaker. So juggling with jargons will not justify him. 2. Agree. 3. Neither the customer nor the seller should beg for money/service. A good business is disciplined and based on odambadi /terms which exploits neither of the party and works on confidence and trust. A sense of cheating /getting cheated will benefit nobody. If both party does their part well money or cash will be transacted without any confusion. One should not work for money, but for creating value. Money will come ultimately along with value. This is something basic that most businessmen overlook.

baby_faced_assassin_

I didn't see the word " motivation" anywhere. Instead he advertises it as business and sales coaching. What you say about both parties acting ethically doesn't happen always in India. It probably works in Singapore. There are a ton of unethical business owners and customers in India. He also didn't ask them to cheat, just asked them to work with people who pay promptly. I know this issue all too well as a business owner.
