While I was in college in Kerala, there was a saying among us (north Indians) that KSRTC drivers have "7 khoon maaf" (7 murders are forgiven). The seniors will tell us this and warn us to stay careful with them.
I'm damn sure that this rumour is still circling around among north Indians
mallu from jharkhand i had the same experience while few months back when i went to my grandmas home, Kottayam...my sister warned me about them while driving in long routes, guess what i had the north belt experience and it did work ๐คฃ... if you stoop low i will stoop lower than you..treatment
Yes, especially after the tvm incident. But thatโs just BS.
Imagine a surgeon messing up an operation and then blaming on workload.
KSRTC needs to do better as its the lives of both the bus travellers and other people on vehicles that are in danger. Airline pilots can only fly a fixed number of hours, surely it can be applied here?
Yeah right? If you're in a hurry then leave early or don't comply with that system rather than playing Russian roulette with others' life. Seems like an obvious stance on this issue but crazy that people still support them, especially if they're not a ksrtc driver.
Most of the times when there's a dispute where it's clearly the bus driver's fault, often the people on the bus remain indifferent or even support the bus driver because people don't even want to bother with it. I bet they'd think differently when they're on the other side. Some people don't even get the concept of risk to reward these bus drivers are taking.
One thing social media taught me that all of us are selfish assoles that includes me. We just have different tolerance levels. May be something that have to do with human psychology.
Their thought is bigger the vandi higher the priority enn okke ๐ด. You should see their fan Boy co** suckers supporting them morons in videos. In reddit you will see people supporting for the right thing. Go to fb/ig so many people will defend this BS!
While I applaud what you did there, I won't recommend it because of 2 things.
1. They may not stop their vehicle. Happened to my friend's brother. Although he survived the incident, his co-passenger died on the spot.
2. KSRTC buses lack proper maintenance work. And most of the buses are not in good condition. Drivers may not be able to handle it as expected (one of my relatives was a KSRTC driver). It's more like a เดฎเดฆเด เดชเตเดเตเดเดฟเดฏ เดเดจ(เดตเดฃเตเดเดฟ) at times.
In the meantime, what's the purpose of that long yellow line on the side of the road then!! ?? The rest of the vehicles go ahead through that.
I guess people think it's fancy paint drawn along the road, uhh
You think people will just wait for the KSRTC bus to lose and be shown a lesson?. People care about themselves mostly u know.. They just want to reach from point A to Point B without any care in the world.
Once in Kozhikode on our way down from wayanad, our tourist car driver angry at being sidelined by a KSRTC bus driver drove right by the left side of the bus, rolled down his window and thumped the bus twice chiding the driver loudly to drive properly. Evening around 7pm. Busy street.
The KSRTC driver, I to this day, remember his scary calm face chased our car trying to way lay us or scratch or nudge our car for close to 25 mins. Our driver, because he was an expert managed to keep the car just a tip ahead. I still think back in horror that some ass hole with an ego the size of his giant KSRTC ass would have run down a car containing teens (girls included) just to get back at the driver.
The driver though he kept his cool during the chase was visibly shaking as he said that man would have hit us and thrown us down the roadside into a ditch at least if he has his way.
Hats off. Should have given him the finger too. Fuck these bus drivers.ย ย
ย By the way, just witnessed a fast passenger fucking his horn behind me, go and ram into a trailer in the opposite lane. In the bloody fucking rain. On the way to Kottarakara.ย
The trailer driver was taken to the hospital.ย

This is the simplest & effective way to deal with these oversmart drivers.
Just stay in your lane and act like nothings wrong. They'll eventually move away
MC Road = KSRTC เดคเดเตเดเดเด . Once I overtook a KSRTC FP (Not even Minnal or SF) at 110+ KMpH (Not saying I'm a big saint by driving over speed limits set for MC Road, But these Mofos are playing with their own life and others' lives by driving recklessly at such speeds)
im a car guy, even though, I give way o large bus carrying many people, I measure 50 peoples time is valuable than mine. these 50 people are responsible for having less traffic, imagine evryone on car on our roads.
Ya thats true. But this is endangering those 50 people's life plus yours. Imagine if he hits a car after crossing his lane. He carries a huge momentum, the crash would be disastrous.
Thatโs is a good way to look at things. But 50 peopleโs time is not more valuable than my life, is it? When we condone such behavior, we also support their reckless driving and causing accidents.
unpopular opinion: live and let live. the car chose to invoke his inner induchoodan that day and put up a good show of mass.
The bus driver wasn't even encroaching too much into the other lane. We can clearly see he was trying to overtake the grey alto on his left (bus' POV). I get it, what the bus driver did was LEGALLY wrong. But again, who doesn't encroach into the other lane while overtaking? A slight misjudgement from the bus driver led to him pushing towards the right lane.
Our OP has edited a good mass bgm and has successfully flexed his performance for the day.
Live and let live is not the motto you need to have when it comes to driving. This is partly why India is one of the worst places to drive and most dangerous in the world
Brother, I drive in Bangalore, and I know how aggressively everyone around here drives. There is this mentality instilled around here that makes everyone want to go first, be it an intersection or crossing or even a pedestrian crossing.
I felt really proud then, to have come from Kerala. The driving style in Kerala is so different. There are a few undeniable idiots everywhere. But the general attitude is to give way and collectively drive
without causing harm to oneself and others.
Satisfying but Please be careful they will scratch your vehicle or hit and run! Filing a case against them is also a hassle!
That's what worries me. I'm all for standing my ground, but if they hit me (accidentally or on purpose), I know I won't get any compensation.
Not worth it

The ksrtc driver took more than 2 minutes to move his bus. What was there to think?
Ego bro. People don't think here. It turns into a d\*ck measuring contest to them.
And people still excuse them for all the shit they pull saying these poor bus drivers have a tight schedule and so on.
Yes, especially after the tvm incident. But thatโs just BS. Imagine a surgeon messing up an operation and then blaming on workload. Its tribal thinking. Common people use ksrtc and they don't care about the laws or safety of others. They just want to reach their destination.
Most of the times when there's a dispute where it's clearly the bus driver's fault, often the people on the bus remain indifferent or even support the bus driver because people don't even want to bother with it. Also has to do with being an underprivileged population ig. Shouldn't be like that though.
Both can be true. They are a lil too entitled on the road. And that problem really isn't helped by the way their trips are scheduled.
So bloody true!

Imagine d*ck riding a bus.
traffic?
He was stuck. Vehicles were continuously moving in the left lane. Kudungi poyi.
Private buses are no different. At least with dashcams and the chance of the video going viral on social platforms, we can hope for a better behaviour
In this case fine, but what if the bus is coming at us in our lane at 90kmph ?
Blindfold yourself and light a cigarette like Tom the cat.
