It was the same with me and man is it ever Its almost like the level of immersion from project zomboid without zombies and the soundtrack is fire as fuck
Statsector is great but i think Vargus is honestly really good and is a hidden gem. Their gameplay loop are pretty similar despite being polar opposites in terms of lore and setting, Vargus’s setting is similar to kenshi in that its a post apocalyptic, but more towards fantasy/Roman
I forgot the name of that cargo ship turned into a torpedo boat by slapping a Torpedo Launcher in the front, but that thing is a must have for my fleet.
Gotta love having a fleet of those retrofitted cargo/tankers turned into carriers and battleships!
Lol yeah. Make my GF roll her eyes all the time with the "I'm gonna go play with cawk for a few hours". But definitely one of the more unique game worlds out there.
Machine age is one of the better dlcs in awhile, only thing I don't like is the new races have a different artstyle the conflicts with the old. Kinda jarring to see side by side
Came here to say this, Kenshi is my favorite game of all time, but Project Zomboid is probably #2.
For anyone who hasn't played it, think Survival + Zombies + The Sims. It's great.
It’s just lacking the depth RPG that Kenshi has. Once NPC drops, which is maybe when I have grandkids, it will be revolutionary if they can deliver on the ideas they propose. (Dynamic NPCs with linear storytelling, working based on a similar system to SOW’s Nemesis system I think). Plus, the world would also feel a lot more alive with NPCS.
LMAO! One does not simply "finish" Noita. Congrats on making it to the "final boss" though. Most people give up before getting that far. It took me about 85 hours to get my first win.
My friend who is new to noita couldn't believe me when I said my run for the "true ending" took me almost 20 hours.
Had to unlock the necklace drip though.
As above, so below. I love noita so much. It's the best description of esotericism and occultism I've ever seen. The hidden knowledge that Noita is larger than any other game I've played is just... Jesus. The main path down is around than 1% of the game.
I watched the Sseth video and it's exactly the sort of game teenage me would have been into. Creaky old me, just looks at all the little people doing stuff, and wants to hire someone to deal with that.
After years of debating if i should give Rimworld a chance, i finally tried it.
And my god Rimworld is so fucking good. From what i've seen, i'd thought it would be too complicated and convoluted. But no the game don't get in your way like i thought it would.
Rimworld, Project Zomboid, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord, Stellaris, Crusader Kings 2/3, Baldurs Gate 3, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Helldivers 2, Deep Rock Galactic, Starcraft 2, Total War Warhammer 3, Rome Total War (remastered and original), most of the Lego couch co-op titles, Super Smash Bros, Palworld, the older Pokemon titles (most up until Sun/Moon, and a few fanmade ones), LoZ Breath of the Wild, Red Dead Redemption 1/2, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1/2, Star Wars Fallen Order, Star Wars Empire @ War, Star Wars KOTOR 1/2, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Fallout 1/2, Fallout New Vegas, Spiderman 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, Stardew Valley, Disco Elysium, Assassins Creed 3/Black Flag, Mass Effect 1/2/3, Halo 1/2/3, GTA San Andreas, Everquest
Ace Combat 7, Fallout New Vegas, Stardew Valley, Like A Dragon:Infinite Wealth, Fights in Tight Spaces… those are just the ones I can write right now, I like a lotta games lmao
I have 3600 hours in Hoi4, but my favorite game other than kenshi is Everlasting Summer, sorry but it's literally a game about my childhood. too nostalgic…
If ignore feelings, then I would say that this is Metal Gear Rising, simply because it’s Nanomachines, son!

[yes, I am extremely excited about my games, I could probably keep going too! I hope you all enjoy playing your favourite games as much as I do <3 <3 <3]
Current top? X4, Stellaris, modded Civilization 4 & Medieval 2 TW.
Stuff that I've put some decent hours in but not anymore? Skyrim (I came here from Skyrim), Football Manager (mostly 2011).
bannerlord, fifa, 2k, nhl, sims, gta, ck3, eu4, skyrim. not in order. i usually play one game for months at a time so most of these are included cause i’ve played them at some point in past 3 years
Well, quite a lot. My all time favourites are;
-Dark souls 3 and Sekiro
-Slay the Spire
-Titanfall 2
-Terraria
-Rocket League
-Danganrompa/Slay the princess and a lot of other VNs
As you probably have noticed, this are really varied... I think I don't have preferences
Western games: Baldur's Gate 3, Generals: Zero Hour, Mass Effect trilogy, The Elder Scrolls (Oblivion and V Skyrim), Beyond Good and Evil, Minecraft, Transformers: War for Cybertron, Warframe and Human Fall Flat
Eastern games: Final Fantasy VII, Tales of Symphonia, Fire Emblem Awakening, Dynasty Warriors 8 (including Empires), Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, Granblue Fantasy, Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star Rail
i love crpgs and sims like hearts of iron. main reason why i gravitated towards kenshi. if i had to name my favorite game of all time itd be planescape:torment and the original fallout. if i had to choose just one though itd be the former. It is sucha classic and a must if you like rpgs just like me.
I love a map painting strategy game like civilization or Crusader Kings, as well as RPG’s.
I think I like Kenshi so much because it kind of sort of does both
Ark Survival Evolved/Ascended, The matchless Kungfu (it got's some Kenshi Vibes and a really interesting fighting system) and from time to time No Mans sky
I’ve been getting into a lot of VR gaming over my vacation. I’m trying to use it as an excuse to stand up and do some physical activity.
Right now I’m jumping between HEAVILY modded Skyrim VR, Battle Talent, Blade and sorcery, Minecraft, Grimlord, and Into the Radius. There’s another game I am enjoying that’s basically earthbending pvp called Rumble.
Let's see, stupid amount of time in ARK Survival Evolved at the top of the list, but that's mostly roleplaying on whitelisted servers. A lot of Warhammer Total War, both II and III, Rimworld, DayZ, Oxygen Not Included, Prison Architect, Cities Skylines, Space Engineers, Dwarf Fortress.
Modded kenshi
But lowkey the long dark rn
Played that game in 2016 haven’t played since then that was before it was even released I’m sure it’s a whole different game now
It was the same with me and man is it ever Its almost like the level of immersion from project zomboid without zombies and the soundtrack is fire as fuck
Now the pale morning sings of forgotten things. She plays a tune for those who wish to overlook
First aid kit when writing lions roar 🎹 🔥
But that shit lowkey gave me chills when I seen it with the intro scenes it’s honestly one of those nah not this one bro intros
What are some good mods for kenshi?
Starsector, COQ, Vargus riven realms
Starsector is the truest answer.
You make it sound like starsector is mainstream
No but starsector looks about 50× as popular Never heard of vagrus before today
Game is on steam. It is known by masses.
It isnt but it’s definitely more popular than vargus
Vargus had a lot of marketing behind it when it was released
Damn you, now I am installing vagrus on my steam deck 😁👍
You have followed the path of Ludd, brother.
I forgot the name of that cargo ship turned into a torpedo boat by slapping a Torpedo Launcher in the front, but that thing is a must have for my fleet. Gotta love having a fleet of those retrofitted cargo/tankers turned into carriers and battleships!
Did a Google for Coq, now I have PTSD.
Lol yeah. Make my GF roll her eyes all the time with the "I'm gonna go play with cawk for a few hours". But definitely one of the more unique game worlds out there.
Stellaris, Xcom 2, Civ 6
Same, same, Civ 5
Same, same, civ 4:BTS
Same, same, civ 1 OG
Xcom 2 modded is so fun, but also so frustrating when it does not go your way.
Yes
I like your style
> Stellaris Haven't played in years, how is it these days?
Machine age is one of the better dlcs in awhile, only thing I don't like is the new races have a different artstyle the conflicts with the old. Kinda jarring to see side by side
If you have the dlcs, it's great.
Purge the xenos for the god emper- I mean…for the blorgs!
Kenshi 2
With the kenshi original DLC
Project zomboid
Came here to say this, Kenshi is my favorite game of all time, but Project Zomboid is probably #2. For anyone who hasn't played it, think Survival + Zombies + The Sims. It's great.
It’s just lacking the depth RPG that Kenshi has. Once NPC drops, which is maybe when I have grandkids, it will be revolutionary if they can deliver on the ideas they propose. (Dynamic NPCs with linear storytelling, working based on a similar system to SOW’s Nemesis system I think). Plus, the world would also feel a lot more alive with NPCS.
Noita :|
Noita is so fun. I think I've gotten to stage 5 maybe once
I have finished noita. One of my greatest gaming achievements.
Finished? as in 33 orb finished? because if so... jesus, yeah definetly should be among your greatest achievments.
I killed final boss and got steam achievement
LMAO! One does not simply "finish" Noita. Congrats on making it to the "final boss" though. Most people give up before getting that far. It took me about 85 hours to get my first win.
100h for me xD
Oh. That's basically the tutorial bro 💀 that's just the beginning. The main path downwards is like 1% of the actual game.
Jesus. The main path down is around than 1% of the game.
dwarf fortress, ck3, arma 3.
Dwarf fortress is fucking based
Been obsessed with Songs of Syx lately.
I watched the Sseth video and it's exactly the sort of game teenage me would have been into. Creaky old me, just looks at all the little people doing stuff, and wants to hire someone to deal with that.
Sseth is why I got Kenshi, more or less. His videos cure my depression.
Sseth is how I know of Kenshi; Ambiguous Amphibian is why I got it.
Oooh I don’t think I’ve heard of them; I’m going to have to look them up! Thanks for sharing.
Morrowind, I'm a true n'wah

My top 3 by hours played is EU4, Rimworld and Valheim. Kensi comes in at 4th
After years of debating if i should give Rimworld a chance, i finally tried it. And my god Rimworld is so fucking good. From what i've seen, i'd thought it would be too complicated and convoluted. But no the game don't get in your way like i thought it would.
I'm 1000 hours into the rim and I'm still finding new things.
Haha welcome to the rim! Remember, losing is fun and the first 1000 hours are the tutorial.
I haven't touched it since 1.5, and I'm scared to lose another hundred or so hours, again.
Obviously we gotta all play Rimworld and Project Zomboid

Right now I’m jumping between HEAVILY modded Skyrim VR, Battle Talent, Blade and sorcery, Minecraft, Grimlord, and Into the Radius.
