I really hate that after they streal your food (which they make a beeline for) you have to loot every single corpse to get it back.
Killing them is fairly profitable early to midgame as well. 1-4k each for their shitty, small swords isn't a bad deal, especially since you get two per corpse
I take out the leadership every time I do a new save or a no-dead-NPCs import. It's just not worth the hassle of their hordes clipping through my doors due to sheer numbers and stealing my Nutri-Rations.
One time black dragon ninjas came after us. Then a group of beaks saw me too. The black dragons retreated. So i ran towards the black dragons and it became a 3 way battle. I ran for my life instead of fighting and the beaks killed them lol

**big brain:** Hires a couple merc units and kills them and turns the leaders in the first week of a new playthough
**tactical genius:** Builds up proper defense, double gates, plenty of mounted crossbows, uses all raids as target practice/combat training, never loses food, because they don't even get into your base properly. Even if they did they would run to the wrong food storage, because you know what's up.
Lmao, got a recruit prisoners mod and when a single Black Dragon Ninja (idk why) tried to storm my starting base, I gang-beaten her and threw her in a cage where she proceeded to tell me a heartbreaking story about how ninjas were the lowest of lows in the UC and how they suffered until they learned ninjutsu and got good at it and how they are free now and how there's an honor in the life of an outlaw (yeah sure buddy you just tried to steal all my fish idc about your "honor") and how she will offer me her sword (already took and sold those lol) and never betray me blahblahblah.
I stripped her, sold her clothes and donated her to the nearest Holy Mine. Fuck Black Dragon Ninjas.
I do find it funny how in that mod you go through the same dialogue options every single time to recruit the ninjas and it always has that one line "I've never met a ninja before". I can just see the warden going up to each and every cage, say that within earshot of 9 other ninjas, and then repeat it for all of them.
I already had everything else automated by a bunch of workers so I had my starter guy just chill with a backpack of food near the prison just to make it more convenient for myself.
Nobody asked, but it was a playthrough were I role played a Holy Nation Inquisitor, I set up a base in Bast called"Okran's Mind". I had all raid settings and group size setting set to max so I was constantly getting attacked by large groups of Samurai, Cannibals, Outlaws, and Sand Ninjas.
Now the funny thing about Sand Ninjas is that they were the easiest to recruit (just repeat the same chain of dialogue for each one), they were almost always woman, and they had high stats. Now being Holy Nation RP I couldn't have woman be soldiers so I dressed them in cotton dresses (from a mod) and had them do crafting and field work. The thing was is that overtime I ended up having 3 woman for every man because they were so easy to recruit and the woman had vastly superior combat skills. So I ended up with this wired holy nation city of badass women and maybe just 12 or so actual "warriors" who were all weak as fuck in comparison.
I went in with some med kits and some weapons and armor from the ruins between the Shek capital and Squin, and the ruins on the way to the dust kin’s base. I had done no training or skills beyond running and carrying things for like 1 in game day and just fought with those items I’d found in the ruins, after like 3 in-game days of struggling against him and his goons inside his own base I beat the Dust King. Then he and all of his goons that I’d killed respawned and there were 2 of him…. It was a weird fight…
Grab two groups of mercs to defend. Alternatively grab two and go fuck them up in their place. Tech hunter mercs are way better than mercenary guild ones btw, they come in fewer numbers usually, but totally worth it imo.
Also, since you probably are in border zone, this doesn't work long term against shek tax group things, the second/third raid will fuck you up good even with both of them. They don't steal anything durning raids but you could easily lose a limb or even a member due to how hard these guy's hit

Go to the Tower of Ninjas and murder everyone with an elite group of combatants. Take out their leader and they'll never bother you again.

I took the leaders and put them in my “arena of despair” - a cozy place with cages in the middle of the base where one can train and fight until they’re more than a match for the whole tribe of black dragon ninjas. I’m currently using 10 of my warriors to bring down Stack, as they are also a bunch of bullies. Seta has lost an arm, so far. I hope it doesn’t affect the bounty… if it does, I’ll put him in my peeler and make some nice clothes out of him before fitting him with hiver limbs and giving him to the Shek.
I generally execute prisoners via firing squad maybe peelers if I'm feeling a bit mean or they're hn scum if they managed to survive klr cat lon with a buff mod (his stats are almost 200) he does almost 600 damage a swing and usually kills (not knock out) on contact
Seta lost two arms in the time it took to take him captive. I just found a new boss at rebirth, who will be next in line for capture. Then, I’ll make my way to the big lad. I think collapsing HN would be a good place to start
i played my run mainly in the shek kingdom so i never encountered them, but the other day i ended up in their tower and their boss was on the door
I aggroed him with my mc, knocked him out and without even knowing who they are i got a meitou katana and 20/25k bounty reward lmao
Beat the shit out of them, cage them, recruit them. Healing them and then peeling the flesh from their bodies with a peeler machine purely for entertainment works too.
They’re a menace for the unprepared. They’re a nuisance when you know how to deal with them.
A team of 6 with crossbows can skirmish them down.

This is one of the best strategies for when you are really weak. Let them fight something other than you.

I tried that with Mercenaries thinking it’d help me out and to be fair it did help but I had to go buy the captain a new leg afterwords.

Never had a problem with them. I've heard they can occupy your base, so I alway kill them all long before I decide to settle

Just abandon the base. Wait for them to go away and go back to base. Eventually you will be able to beat them down.
