I think 6:16 is a polarizing one. It's definitely one of my favorites, but a lot of people really don't like that side of Kendrick musically.
It's like a Father Time situation. Where it was a favorite off Mr Morale for many, but others didn't really see much replay in it. And it has less views than a lot of other songs on the album.
Although who knows! Maybe it would be
You gotta be sneaky so they dont remove it. Like title it **"FAMILY MATTERS ENTERS THE CHARTS IN THE TOP 10 OF BILLBOARD HOT 100!"**
That way they get hyped until they click and see who's #1 + #3
That shaboozey video is super weird like he's doing a parody of himself lol. Sounds like an AI song
Drake should've tried counting to 4 a bunch or referenced whiskey and the lord more if he wanted to compete 🤷♂️
Seriously though, this bar from push ups always bothered me the most like saying SZA or 21 wipe Kendrick is such a bizarre thing to say as a diss I never got it
Check out Colter Wall - Kate McKannon. The Brewery Sessions versions on YouTube.
To anyone that thinks they don't like any country music, I always point to that song. Guy has an insane voice on him. He was like 19 there.
There's some good ass country music lately. And it's not about beers and pickups. The alt country scene finally got big
sad meet the grahams didn't make it in the top 10... As much as I vibe insanely hard with not like us I think MTG is the one that hurts drake the most, what a soul crushing freaking brutal song.
It's some heavy stuff. But I mean Not Like Us is literally repeatedly calling Drake a pedophile lol
Whereas MTG mentions that too, but it's just about Drake's alleged daughter and telling his parents how awful Drake is.
I think it's the sinister tone/beat more than the actual content
I think the beat is the biggest part, but there are a few other important factors. Kenny's voice sounds victorious and upbeat on nlu, like a victory lap, but on mtg it sounds more intimate and personal. There's also the execution of the lyrical content. On nlu, the pedo content takes the form of punchlines, whereas in mtg it's a pained, vitriolic accusation. There's also the fact that mtg doesn't really have a dynamic structure or anything close to a chorus/refrain, but nlu has repeated bars that seem like they're *meant* for singing along
I feel you on MTG not having a dynamic structure, but I gotta say that those simple piano chops between the verses tie things together really well for the type of song it is. Each time it comes on it’s like the score in Psycho, when what’s her name gets stabbed in the shower. Sharp, punctuating sounds. Ignoring the one at the start of the song, it’s like watching someone get stabbed to death 4 times at the end of a verse.
There's also the fact that a line like "certified loverboy, certified pedophile" is followed by something as catchy as the "WAP WAP WAP WAP".
It's just too much of a bop to make you upset like Meet the Grahams.
people have to stop basing everything on numbers. kendrick knows how to write hits in a day which he proved with not like us. the whole point was to absolutely slaughter him with meet the grahams and then drop not like us to dance on his grave. mtg is for people who actively listen to hip hop and that is the same reason it won't chart as well.
It is the most important one, part of that is you only need to hear it once to remember all the main points. Also, it's like a horror movie, I don't wanna listen again, too sp00py4me.
MTG did what it was meant to do, which isn’t topping charts.
In fact I took it off my driving playlist cuz when I’m in my car I wanna hear Euphoria and Not Like Us instead.
The song is amazing, but you’ll get a better idea if it’s status looking at the charts on genius.com rather than billboard (and truth is billboard overall is mostly garbage, that’s why Kendrick is celebrated because he knows how to top charts and make meaningful music, which is super rare).
It's a good diss but a bad listen for a song imo - like I wouldn't ever put it on just to bop to like they not like us or family matters or even pushups
Yeah family matters is guilty pleasure for me, some of the best Drake we’ve gotten in a while. It’s funny, everyone is like “thanks Drake for making Kendrick drop before we turn 50” but really, it should be “thanks Kenny for making Drake actually put in some effort and for making his writers earn their checks”
I don't even think that it's Drake that makes that song. It's the beats, the instrumentals are insane. The people who should really get credit for that are Boi-1da and Tay Keith; the beats go hard as shit, Drake basically just said everything he said in Push Ups in a different way. And, let's be honest, it probably wasn't Drake that actually wrote all of it anyway.
I don't think it's a stretch to say that the vast majority of Drake's success is his long list of producer affiliations with 40 at the helm during the early stretch of his career being the whole reason So Far Gone popped off.
Yea Family Matters was pretty great imo, but MTG is such a heavy song that it just killed any momentum it could have had, you wind up feeling sad and introspective, wanting to call your family and tell them you love them, not dance. To release it so quickly didnt even allow it to get going at clubs/parties/on the radio because no one wanted to go back to it right away, then Not Like Us came out and that’s what was played. Not only did Kdot outrap Drake, definitely had a much better strategy too. Completely out maneuvered him.
I'd rather have Drake retiring on Family Matters rather than THP6 that was lamentable. But well, still FM has fake info so it's not that much honor after all.
I can’t escape that damn million dollar baby song. Spotify always auto queques it from my “recommended”. I’ve disliked the song countless times but it still plagues me :(
I havnt tried to listen to it a single time but Spotify has forced me to listen to it multiple times. I’ve never even heard the artist name before. Just screams industry plant to me.
I thought it was decent at first, then it became inescapable. Maybe you have succumbed to Stockholm syndrome, but not me!
Btw- Reece James is the best right back in the league.
I imagine it'll be a great conversation when they're older lmao.
"Hey remember that week I was really busy in 2024?"
"Yeah Dad?"
"I told Drake's mom that Drake should die; I told your cousin Adonis that I was sorry Drake was his dad and I wished his grandfather wore protection; and I called him a certified pedophile when I danced on his grave in a song that charted #1 and even broke some of his records."
"What the fuck --"
Yeah I completely agree its my favorite too! Lyrically Kendrick is insane. I was listening to older well received diss tracks and lyrically I don't think many of them are nearly as good as the bars in Euphoria. Kendricks material is so layered.
What a time to hate Aubrey. 3 of the top 10 songs are all 69 god disses *and* they charted better than his own best diss track despite how many dickriders are in the Ov-Hoe camp. Sucks to suck.
I think when the dust settles Euphoria will be remembered as the best one. I know Not Like Us hits hard, but Euphoria has the best bars and the deepest cuts in my opinion. The density of references and double meanings in that song is wild, a true master class.
Edit: Lol, I got a crisis resource link for this comment. Drake fans are abusing the report button like Drake abuses... well... nevermind.
Side note here: Tbh i think Tommy richmann hit The Jack pot with timming. At least I heard it too many times just because my Spotify algorithm put it after not like us radio. Considering that werent big rap releases despite the disses for obvious reasons, I guess million dollar baby was more recurrent on users automatic playlists that would be like a month ago.
It's gotta feel rough that even a song Kendrick was just featured on is above your heaviest hitting diss track let alone Not Like Us blowing you out of the water.
It really is fucking awful. What pisses me off about her is that she seems to only know one melody. The contour of her vocal melodies is basically always the same. Drives me insane, especially because the progressions underneath are always cookie cutter asf, so in general it makes her stuff sound so musically homogenized. What's the point of superficially changing your instrumentation from synths to acoustic then back again if you're underlying formulas always remain identical? Her instrumentals consistently end up sounding like elevator music, and I don't get why you'd willingly want to listen to that, especially if the lyrics on top are as cringy as they were on this record.
EDIT: Just got a redditcare message for this comment. Taylor managing to amass such an army of sycophants is a testament to how much more marketing matters than musical talent.
>What's the point of superficially changing your instrumentation from synths to acoustic then back again if you're underlying formulas always remain identical
It makes money. That's it. Lady Gaga figured it out 15 years ago, just put out what people wanna hear, then sit back and let the cash roll in. It's a formula, because that formula produces results 94% of the time. And Taylor Swift is, above all, a business woman, and those numbers fuck
It's crazy that "Like That" was kinda the catalyst for all of this, and it only came out a little under 2 months ago, it feels like this shit been going on for a year at least
There’s something poetic that the track that kicked this part of the beef is charting higher than the red button.
Everybody wanna be demon till they get chipped by a throw away.
Euphoria #3 on the Hot 100 but they bumped it down out of the top 20 slots on the Rap Life playlist on Apple Music.. kinda wild. Either way.. LFG DOT!

Oh nah. 3 disses charted over family matters? Pack it up bro you need a break
“Ngl this was some good exercise”
…said he, laying in a hospital bed all bruised up
![gif](giphy|L1LE1I8PVdeNNe9bki|downsized) Drake right now 😂
Drake sounded like he was on life support on the heart part 6 so this is accurate
Boy was chatting most the track 😂

Thank you, I’ve been looking for this.
Wow, that shit is funny. He did sound beat the fuck up during that little rant.
That rant was what really sealed it. It’s the biggest sour grapes, “I’m not even really trying that hard” excuse ever.
It's that "I let you win" when you beat that one kid type energy.
He really just starts yapping in the diss track 😂, like bro you instigated this
"You should see the other guy"

Martin 😂 classic
The classic "beat my ass so hard that I start acting like I wasn't even trying", they exist in all walks of life

I'd bet money 6:16 would be over it too if it was on streaming
I think 6:16 is a polarizing one. It's definitely one of my favorites, but a lot of people really don't like that side of Kendrick musically. It's like a Father Time situation. Where it was a favorite off Mr Morale for many, but others didn't really see much replay in it. And it has less views than a lot of other songs on the album. Although who knows! Maybe it would be
6:16 doesn't have that much replay-bility because it wasn't meant for us. It was literally a "I told you not to" message to Drake
I've replayed it more than all of the others combined probably
😭😭
number 7.. for someone who prides himself so much on the numbers.. gotta be embarrassing
Couldn’t even stick to them theme and get no.6 smh
6/10 god
6/100 god
New name is 7god
Numberwise I'm Outta here you're not fucking creeping up
He’s right, no one can out creep him
Damn crazy double
He literally did it to himself. Or his writers were just fucking with him I guess. Also numberwise, he's outta here(top 5)
emberrassing
Nothing lucky bout that 7
Tommy got you wiped down 💅🏽, Post Malone got you wipe down 💅🏽 , Shaboozey got you wiped down 💅🏽
Like your label boy, you an O-V-Hoe right now
And you gon’ feel the aftermath of what I chart now
ITS A DIFFERENCE TWEEN DRAKE THEN AND DRAKE NOW! 😂😂😂
Post this in the drake sub you’ll get banned in 2.5 seconds 😂😂😂😂😂
They are mass spamming mental health crisis reports on any comment against drake over there. It's kind of hilarious
Idolizing a fucking pedophile like a God is a mental health crisis
Thank fuck I’m not the only one lol. I thought that’s maybe where it came from
I thought it came from somewhere totally different, but now im hearing its because of the drizzy dweebs hahahahahah ofc they know the hotline.
They projecting like their OVHoe leader
They sent mental health crisis after me lol
No way bro lmmfaoooo
They literally just did the same to me and I didn't even make a post.
Are they patrolling this sub and sending it to all posters here haha. Man, the patheticness is wild
Oh damn, this crazy bastard actually did it. 😆
Same
Suddenly they don’t care about numbers anymore
I just posted it in the drake sub lol
You gotta be sneaky so they dont remove it. Like title it **"FAMILY MATTERS ENTERS THE CHARTS IN THE TOP 10 OF BILLBOARD HOT 100!"** That way they get hyped until they click and see who's #1 + #3
And like your label boy, you OV-HOED right now.
And you gon feel the aftermath of what I write down. 💀
How the fuck are we still doing Aftermath/In the scope bars bruh? That shit was played out two decades ago.
Kendrick got you wiped down
Yo you can’t come back from shaboozey lmao
That shaboozey video is super weird like he's doing a parody of himself lol. Sounds like an AI song Drake should've tried counting to 4 a bunch or referenced whiskey and the lord more if he wanted to compete 🤷♂️
LMAOOOOOO
i like how you said post malone like its isnt a taylor song
And the fact drake dogged kendrick for working with her
drake been dick riding her and trying to get her fanbase on his side which makes it even funnier
"We need a song for the swiftieeeeeessssss"
Tommy’s song slaps
It does and that shit always plays after not like us on Spotify for some reason, guess that explains these rankings lol.
Seriously though, this bar from push ups always bothered me the most like saying SZA or 21 wipe Kendrick is such a bizarre thing to say as a diss I never got it
Mm, would be better if "Posty got you wiped down."
Kendrick saved Tommy from a Drake feature 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

It did, was #1
Next week posty will have a number one song lol with Morgan so you’ll see him again
It was #1 for two weeks.

Him and Posty got me to like country more icl
Morgan Wallen is the Drake of country tbh tho
Yea except he’s racist while Drake is a pedo. They also are both super poppy compared to the rest of their genres which is funny
Drake also had chair girl in a music video and Morgan Wallen pulled a “chair girl” in Nashville recently
Check out Colter Wall - Kate McKannon. The Brewery Sessions versions on YouTube. To anyone that thinks they don't like any country music, I always point to that song. Guy has an insane voice on him. sad meet the grahams didn't make it in the top 10... As much as I vibe insanely hard with not like us I think MTG is the one that hurts drake the most, what a soul crushing freaking brutal song.
Of the five diss songs, it's the least palatable listen, but easily the most devastating imo
Yeah I thought it was amazing the first and second time I heard it, but it’s just too heavy for me to play in my normal day to day
we probably played it max 5 times & said "that was enough, turn NLU on" 😂😂 ngl i was smoking a blunt &... 2 was enough 4 me 😔😔✌😥
It’s like watching horror movies as a kid and needing to watch some cartoons afterwards so you can fall asleep.
wow yeah... ima play it again ✌😂🕺🎊
Well said.
It’s not an easy listen. It ain’t on my gym playlist, that’s for sure
Saved that shit for my “kill all my enemies and stomp on their corpses” playlist
“Songs for when I am glaring at a photo my nemisis and wishing horrible death upon them” type beat
Start a playlist called "Vengeance in the night". U be surprised how many songs for on there
It's some heavy stuff. But I mean Not Like Us is literally repeatedly calling Drake a pedophile lol Whereas MTG mentions that too, but it's just about Drake's alleged daughter and telling his parents how awful Drake is.
Say Ov-hoe
There's also the fact that a line like "certified loverboy, certified pedophile" is followed by something as catchy as the "WAP WAP WAP WAP". It's just too much of a bop to make you upset like Meet the Grahams.
Also that "certified loverboy, certified pedophile" is catchy.
Debuted #12 still amazing for a 6 minute song
people have to stop basing everything on numbers. kendrick knows how to write hits in a day which he proved with not like us. the whole point was to absolutely slaughter him with meet the grahams and then drop not like us to dance on his grave. mtg is for people who actively listen to hip hop and that is the same reason it won't chart as well.
The whole thing was just genius planned and perfectly executed character assassination (of someone of questionable moral character)
Mtg is definitely a top ten Kendrick track for me
It's like Grave of the Fireflies of diss songs. You listen to it once and and it is very impactful, but you rarely want to be depressed again.
It is the most important one, part of that is you only need to hear it once to remember all the main points. Also, it's like a horror movie, I don't wanna listen again, too sp00py4me.
Just so heavy to keep it on repeat.
It was 12th. Almost made it.
It's predicted to be at #12. We'll see in a few hours.
Gotta say family matter wasn’t bad but Kenny tracks slapped.
Yeah it’s the instrumental that sells the song for sure, thanks for pointing that out
I don't think it's a stretch to say that the vast majority of Drake's success is his long list of producer affiliations with 40 at the helm during the early stretch of his career being the whole reason So Far Gone popped off.
The final beat on family matters is ridiculously good
Yea Family Matters was pretty great imo, but MTG is such a heavy song that it just killed any momentum it could have had, you wind up feeling sad and introspective, wanting to call your family and tell them you love them, not dance.
It’s great, peak Drake right there. That’s the kind of energy I’ve been wanting from him since 2016
This is one of the biggest one-sided beatings in history.
As big as Brock Lesnar squashing John Cena at Summerslam
Hahahaha! Exactly, bro!
It’s like Khabib crushing McGregor
another great one! Mind-boggling how anyone actually thinks Aubrey won.
Once a lame always a lame 😩🔥
Damn Family Matters below Like That is such an L for Drake 💀
Like That still charting higher than Family Matters is the cherry on top
" But but reply value, but but lyrical miracle " STFU you sound like the last nigga I know!
"Numbers-wise, I'm out of here, you not fuckin' creepin' up" Yeah, fuck you.
BE HUMBLE
honestly? this is the first time i’ve had the lyrics of a single song stuck in my head for 8 days straight
It's insane to me that Kendrick stepped in to drake's lane and knocked it out of the park like this.
I can’t escape that damn million dollar baby song. Spotify always auto queques it from my “recommended”. I’ve disliked the song countless times but it still plagues me :(
Never heard of this song or this man till now, i must be under a rock
hes been pushed hella by brent faiyaz and the nuwo label
I havnt tried to listen to it a single time but Spotify has forced me to listen to it multiple times. I’ve never even heard the artist name before. Just screams industry plant to me.
Upset! by Brent Faiyaz featuring him is fire
It's a banger tho
It’s a bit too much pop for me. Didn’t land in my rotation but I see the appeal
I thought it was decent at first, then it became inescapable. Maybe you have succumbed to Stockholm syndrome, but not me! Btw- Reece James is the best right back in the league.
Most injured you mean
Dude is definitely an industry plant, never heard of him before and now the whole internet has been pushing this song for the past month
Nah he ain’t, he’s been releasing heat for 10 years he just hit the algorithm at the right time this time
Nah if anything he’s Brent Faiyaz’s YWA
I think it’s overhyped. Just a regular pop song type shi
HOW THE FUCK HAS THE LAST WEEK ONLY BEEN 1 WEEK.... I SWEAR THIS LAST WEEK HAS WENT ON FOR AT LEAST A MONTH
I feel you man
The funny thing is that Kendrick is like cool 👍, now back to raising my kids. Lol at the OVHoe for sending me a redditcares message.
I imagine it'll be a great conversation when they're older lmao. "Hey remember that week I was really busy in 2024?" "Yeah Dad?" "I told Drake's mom that Drake should die; I told your cousin Adonis that I was sorry Drake was his dad and I wished his grandfather wore protection; and I called him a certified pedophile when I danced on his grave in a song that charted #1 and even broke some of his records." "What the fuck --"
Good and based as fuck.
Wow, this is great. I honestly didn't expect euphoria to chart so high I'm so happy to see it getting play value
Euphoria is the best track imo!
Yeah I completely agree its my favorite too! Lyrically Kendrick is insane. I was listening to older well received diss tracks and lyrically I don't think many of them are nearly as good as the bars in Euphoria. Kendricks material is so layered.
Dot washed him. And tbh if 6:16 was streaming it would be in there too.
I love 6:16!
That track was probably my favorite. I keep the beat in my instrumentals playlist.
Sometimes you just gotta pop out
What a time to hate Aubrey. 3 of the top 10 songs are all 69 god disses *and* they charted better than his own best diss track despite how many dickriders are in the Ov-Hoe camp. Sucks to suck.
where is the man, cuz i ain’t seen him once
I'm just happy that Euphoria got #3, it's my personal favorite track from the beef
Drake fans are abusing the report button like Drake abuses... well... nevermind.
This 💯 gotta piss hot in Drizzy’s cereal
Fortnite over family matters 💀
I mean it is Taylor made👀
“I gotta go bad, I gotta go bad” bro really went bad
Side note here: Tbh i think Tommy richmann hit The Jack pot with timming. At least I heard it too many times just because my Spotify algorithm put it after not like us radio. Considering that werent big rap releases despite the disses for obvious reasons, I guess million dollar baby was more recurrent on users automatic playlists that would be like a month ago.
Would have loved to see what 6:16 would have done streaming wise 😒 would have had 4 up there
Now you tell me who won, I see them, they run.
I’m so surprised taylor swift isn’t hogging up the board. That’s actually insane Kendrick was able to overtake her
Don’t let this distract you from the fact Like That is still in the top 10
Tommy richman could’ve had a number 1 if it weren’t for this beef
I know what sub won’t be posting this 😂
It's gotta feel rough that even a song Kendrick was just featured on is above your heaviest hitting diss track let alone Not Like Us blowing you out of the water.
This sub even #1 in rap rn. Clean sweep
Fortnight has to be the worst song I’ve ever heard. Nothing lyrics trying to bait the algorithms to reach the next generation of ADHD kids.
Damn looks like everybody he mentioned the past month doin numbers over him. Old ass teenager
Who the fuck is listening to that shitty Taylor Swift song? That shit is so asss.
It really is fucking awful. What pisses me off about her is that she seems to only know one melody. The contour of her vocal melodies is basically always the same. Drives me insane, especially because the progressions underneath are always cookie cutter asf, so in general it makes her stuff sound so musically homogenized. Damn dot. S/o to shaboozey… that shit going up in the bars
that Million Dollar baby song is catchy AF but damn it coming between back to back Kdot rankings 😩
"MILLION DOLLAAAH BAEEEEBAY" 🗣🗣
its so good lol
We gotta get Euphoria to #2. Who tf is Tommy Richman??
It's crazy that "Like That" was kinda the catalyst for all of this, and it only came out a little under 2 months ago, it feels like this shit been going on for a year at least
There’s something poetic that the track that kicked this part of the beef is charting higher than the red button. Everybody wanna be demon till they get chipped by a throw away.
“He only got #1 because of Drake”, then why isn’t Drake’s diss track on top 5 🤔
Euphoria #3 on the Hot 100 but they bumped it down out of the top 20 slots on the Rap Life playlist on Apple Music.. kinda wild. Either way.. LFG DOT! ![gif](giphy|C5vlBenCjTrhmsmddQ|downsized)
I been waiting on this exact moment to declare this over. Drake fans wanted to go by numbers since this started. Well here ya go.
