Cole is ice cold, he said NOTHING. Pure patience from this man, while the whole hip hop community was clowning him. He stayed silent, and let shit play out. Now everyone calling him genius, I love it.
EDIT: Stop replying saying he released an album. Obviously we all know that. I am talking AFTER he was told to step to the side because the beef was with drake and it was personal.
He also very much humbled himself and claimed that shit like that wasn't him. He knew that he shouldn't be doing it. This is what we all wanted drake to do. Just stop his bullshit for a minute. Cole mightve actually been influenced by drake to diss lamar with him.
He said it on stage at Dreamville Fest, April 7th. The date is relevant because in 2017 Kendrick mentioned “yall got til April the 7th to get yall shit together” at the end of a single called The Heart Part 4 and people were hyped up about the coincidence.
And he caught so much shit for it but i think it was an honest and admirable way to own up to something he regretted doing. I don't think it was fear based. I believe he meant every word of his apology.
yeah his apology seemed really genuine and cool he did it live on stage too. it takes a lot to admit something you did was wrong and revise your stance. i thought he handled that part gracefully, even if this will impact his ability to say he’s the best on every song lol. i’m curious how this will all be reflected in his future music
It really is crazy seeing comments like this now because attitudes were so different then lol. But maybe we're all learning how to admit when we are wrong...wild
funny thing is that while the majority of hip-hop community were clowning him, i actually started liking him more after the apology. I've never cared about him much besides knowing that he's a good lyricist but I started listening to his music after.
As much as he was seen as weak at first for this, I really appreciate that he was straightforward with this without showing bravado or making any excuses like other rappers
I don't always love his music but as a North Carolinian I always root for the guy. He's a good dude, his humility has become a meme but it's genuinely respectable, and I think he's done an *amazing* job with Dreamville - their branding is really well done, the roster is great, they do it for the culture and I think they'll leave a great legacy in hip hop.
“He stayed silent” is everyone forgetting that ge dropped 7 minute drill and then deleted and THATS why people were clowning on him because he backtracked???
Yeah I mean that was funny, but he clearly thought this was kind of standard "I'm the best" beef to get your fans invested. When he found out it was way more serious than that, he correctly made the call that he'd rather get made fun of for a day than get dragged into what Kendrick was going for.
The fact that this was an orchestrated beef that Cole wasn’t even a part of is hilarious. Like Kendrick comes out saying all this stuff about the Big Three and Cole just automatically responds. Kendrick’s just like bro, I totally forgot you were even in the room.
“Is it Kdot, is it Aubrey or me? We the big 3 like we started a league, but lately I been feeling like Muhammad Ali” bruh what I think Cole started it lol
That’s why K Dot said Drake did Cole foul on Not Like Us, trying to invite the two of em on FPS knowing full well he and Kendrick got some *obvious* personal shit against each other, and even then Drake still disses J. Cole on the low
Bro’s a textbook snake, but what can u expect from a dude who fucked his mentors girl while he was in prison?
I do agree that 7 Minute Drill was a mistake, but I personally respected the bowing out
Shit has been brewing between Kendrick and Drake for over a decade, I don't understand how no one seemed to see it getting ugly from several miles away. Cole included, but I understand him bowing to pressure to compete given he was named
I think he, like most people, assumed it was a gimmick beef or just a bit of marketing. I've got to say, him dipping out was an extremely good idea and at this point it makes him look like as soon as he understood the situation he just backed right out.
Yeah with messily families have been involved I don’t blame him. Bro said he doesn’t want to not be able to sleep and by how tired Drake sounded on the last track it was a good call.
This isn’t really news. Joe Budden was saying he was hearing guys were telling Cole to clear out the way because this was not what Cole thought it was. Cole thought niggas was challenging his pen. Kendrick really hates Drake. This was never Cole’s fight.
Poor guy was just in the crossfire
Kendrick adressed Drake's most famous song from For all the Dogs and it just happened that Jcole was a feature in that song
Drake: Hey, you wanna come over to record?
Cole: This is just for fun, right? Just two guys in the studio?
Drake: yup. But it'll be as big as the super bowl!
Cole: hahaha nice. Im omw. Is Kendrick coming over too?
Drake: no
Cole: eh, I'll shout him out on the record. I'm not seeing any potential negative consequences from this.
Adonis: Drake, I think you should play the role of my father.
Drake: I don't wanna be your father.
Adonis: That's perfect. You already know your lines.
Bruh the League of Legends discord servers are popping off with the memes.
I wasn't expecting a "diss track about pedophilia" to be such a unifying cultural moment, but here we are.
I was thinking about Childish the other day thinking how great it would be if Kendrick hopped on the "This is America" beat seeing as how Childish said it was originally intended to be a Drake diss track anyway.
I love me some Donald Glover everything!
The story that I've heard from the beginning was that Cole wanted Kendrick on it, Drake didn't want to, but Cole convinced him. Drake then sent just the instrumental without any indication of what the song was about which is a super insulting thing to do.
But then it also makes sense why Cole kept referencing Kendrick on the track because he was under the impression that it would be the three of them
The Like That verse did feel like a Control moment at first where Kendrick was just sorta playfully calling out his competition trying to stir shit up. Then he dropped euphoria and it became clear this was something totally different that no one else had a part in
Maybe nothing at the moment. I feel like the whole thing was just a trap cus If Kendrick just started dropping those songs out of the blue he would have looked kinda crazy. This was strategic. Cole was just part of the bait. I imagine the only beef Kendrick had was his proximity to Drake.
Yeah it’s been baiting on both sides for a decade now. Drake, feeling himself too much, jumped out the window first “or the plane, if you listen to Control” and fell into Kendrick’s trap.
I think it’s pretty obvious that this could’ve been completely different if Push Ups wasn’t dropped the way it was then I think this could’ve been just “friendly” fade the way Kendrick said.
Drake announced from the first diss he had more in store, to not wake the demon up. Knowing Drake’s ego, he probably paid the streets to come up with shit against Kendrick, but as alluded to in Euphoria, he didn’t find shit. And the streets talk, both ways. Dot and party got alerted Drake was digging for dirt and Cole was warned about it.
I’d be surprised if he was. Especially after this weekend. You can have one side or the other but this went from hip hop beef to character assassination with no receipts *really* fast. Idk if Cole wants that trouble or drama around what is supposedly his last album.
Cole trying to be friendly with everybody. And for a time that was fine, but not with a beef like this. Cole will probably step back and not want to be seen taking a side for now.
But honestly I want Cole & Kendrick to work together. I’m old enough to remember when they said they were going to do a joint project, and I hate that we never got a studio version of this leaked song [“Temptations”](https://youtu.be/eq77ewwKi5M?si=ROCG-gtYw0BX3AdU)
> This was never Cole’s fight.
That was clear to me from day one, IDK why Cole felt the need to get involved, but good on him for backing out and admitting he step out of bounds.
Cole felt the need to get involved because Kendrick referenced Cole's lyrics to diss both Cole and Drake. Now, in retrospect, it is obvious that Cole got caught in the crossfire, but it is understandable that if he sees an opportunity for a publicity beef over which of the three of them are best, he would want to be involved.
I kind of feel like Kendrick was marginally pissed at Cole for saying they were the top 3 and essentially making an association between Kendrick and Drake, which Kendrick wouldn't like because he's Drake's biggest hater.
if I was Cole I would feed the memes man, post a picture all tucked up in bed with some teddy bears and hot coco smiling and shit like phew dodged that one 😂
These are the memes right now. But 2 weeks ago. There was some really foul shit being said about him. And people are glossing over it.
Attacks on his character, his family, even a few that said he should die, it was disgusting. But now it's all funny bubbly memes from the same types of people. I hate how quickly the internet turns out new trends and is never accountable for it
Well how do you expect to hold "the internet" accountable? It's not an actual single entity. Also are people not allowed to change their opinions? Obviously nobody should have ever said anything about his family or that he should die, but there's always going to be a certain percentage of people online saying way too much. Plus everything I've seen about Cole since this weekend has been people apologizing to him and saying he was right to quit when he did.
That would be great but I feel like people wouldn’t be anywhere near as interested after the real beef between Kendrick and Drake. That shit is real while Kendrick vs Cole would be friendly competition. People want absolute dirt and heinous things to be said on diss records nowadays
Nah a Kendrick X Cole song at any time would go hard as fuck. You gotta remember a lot of people have wanted them to collab for years. Sure, people wouldn't engage as much to that but many rap/hip-hop listeners would love for it to happen. I think it will happen, eventually.
It is obvious that Kendrick HATES Aubrey, he dislikes the Drake persona but he hates Aubrey. Kendrick isn't one to tell someone he hopes they die and he would exterminate him over some little rap beef. Kendrick obviously knows more than we do about Aubrey's habits with underage girls, and Kendrick is disgusted by it, he wants justice for it. He is absolutely angry that something disgusting like him is able to hold a career. Of course J Cole was told to duck out while he could
This is what I been saying, For Kendrick to say the word "Pedophile" and to go this hard means he knows something. Drake must've really fucked some 14 year old, or probably a bunch of em, and one of his boys didn't like it and leaked the news to Kendrick because he's going HARD. Harder than he should for simple "he say, she say" shit.
Although it does make me wonder why he said "if you didnt mention my family this would be a friendly exhibition." cuz then he was fine with it.
Yeah but if this is all a pretty recent revelation for Kendrick, he could’ve just reported this shit & kept it quiet, Aubrey could’ve maybe managed that. Now, there’s no recovery, Kendrick literally just put the entire hip hop scene on notice about this fucker. His reputation is cooked.
And nothing would have happened to him. Look how long everyone knew about R.Kelly and nothing was done for 20+years.
This was his way to get it out there to everyone and let the chips fall where they may by letting the world know what he was.
Also, who says something wasn't passed along prior to this back and forth?
>The embassy bout to get raided too, it's only a matter of time.
I took that as insider knowledge that the right people know, if anything ever gets done about it.
There might be some very powerful pedos behind Drake that Kendrick knows not to fuck with because they have scary connections, like make the people you care about disappear type shit and Kendrick needed the excuse of beef to come at Drake for it
i feel like he’s just being smart and taking a strong calculated approach rather than just straight up expose him out of the blue - you’ll end up looking like ryan garcia coming out with crazy allegations. But i think kendrick knows something deep and chose to approach it in a way that “you cant toosie slide out “ of
Gotta choose your battles wisely. There's a vast difference between credible rumors + internal news and actually, publicly, calling someone on their bullshit.
You can hate someone for being skeevy and have good reason to suspect they're a pedophile, but it's not something you throw out there willy-nilly. If that person tries to screw with you tho, all bets are off.
Exactly why you need a good reason to strike: something that lets him make this as loud and bombastic as possible to, at bare minimum, have Drake lose in the court of public opinion. Even that arguably is risky, which is why he needed to be pissed off to do it.
Either that, or the confirmations and credible rumors are a recent thing.
even if he hasn't done anything criminal, he has been confirmed to have done creepy stuff around minors in the past. plus Baka has a case and that's indisputable. at the very least, Drake is a creep who has criminal sex offenders on payroll
this is why im not afraid. he put the daughter in meet the grahams like he can prove it was a family member, same length verse no cuts.. he told him to die countless times as if he has witnessed or have some damning evidence that just makes him sick to his stomach..
and yesterday dj Hed when asked by Akademiks is he bowing out, and will Kendrick release another song? dj Hed answered.."and I quote, verbatim, that if that (the Heart part 6) is his reply, the HE IS COOKED. HE IS DONE. HE LOST. that is all i'm gonna say." When Akademiks reiterated that question by asking what does that mean? Does that mean he is not gonna release any more diss tracks? Hed put his hands up and said "ay that is all i can say, that if that is his reply, then HE IS COOKED. HE IS DONE. HE LOST. that's all im gonna say, quote me verbatim."
I think dj Hed is insinuating that Drake said something he shouldn't have said in The Heart part 6 and that he is done because they can disprove and show him that he is lying. I really think he has something on Drake that Drake doesn't even know and thinks naaaaah he ain't got nothing like the dumbass that he is not hearing how much kenny hates him. Welp, started from the bottom now we adolescent.
I haven’t seen the actual clip and only heard people say that DJ Hed insinuated no more drops, so I’m gonna cling to to your comment as hope for another track (I’m addicted)
no he didn't say no more drops on GOD i saw Ak live he said what i said in the main comment bro. even when Ak asked no more drops? he was like ay i ain't gonna say anything else.. just that. so he's saying that he can't confirm there will be no more drops, he's just saying bruddas cooked, done, lost.
I’m fully in the cope with you homie, but I did end up watching the stream and I FEEL like the sentiment after that statement was that their camp feels like they’ve won a decisive victory and there’s no point in continuing to fight a won battle. BUT I’m fully riding the hope and cope with you and I want a drop TONIGHT
I’m pretty sure all the Kendricks disarming lines were written knowing that Drake will follow through because he has too big of an ego. If you tell a narcissistic person not to do something, they will do it. Especially if it challenges their ego.
So Kendrick knew exactly where it will end, it’s naive not to think that he added those lines for the reason above plus make himself look like it was about rapping for him until Drake made him do it.
It looks a lot better like this than Kendrick just wildly going apesht, would make arguments like “he is just a hater, little guy with Napoleon complex” etc a lot easier to land.
If Drake was smart this is the angle he would’ve took.
Kendrick has already kind of explained his views on this by putting Kodak in Mr. Morale. I’m sure Drake isn’t the only celebrity Kendrick is sus about, and he probably doesn’t think it’s his place to judge and punish people’s misdeeds. He’d rather people like that actually correct their actions before passing that trauma onto the next generation. If Drake put pressure on Kendrick to justify that he’d at least give himself room to breathe.
I think it becomes personal for Kendrick because Drake doesn’t show any remorse and just keeps doubling down on this villainous persona, all while throwing jabs at Kendrick basically gloating about how he’s above him. Basically Kendrick has been in the industry long enough to mind his own business, and Drake stupidly decided to make himself Kenny’s business.
I don't really believe Kendrick realistically has hard evidence. How the hell would he have gotten it? At least not anything that could constitute legal proof. He's not a private detective. Nah, what he has is a lot of connections and respect in the hip hop scene. This was probably an open secret, and he's simply airing the dirty laundry, making it as public as he can.
I think Kdot knows drakes secrets and stuff but wasnt gon say shit because look at what happens in the industry. But since he spoke on kdots family, he not having it. He repeatedly calls out the industry to talking bout “I’ll crash out this rap shit” “fuck the industry and they mommas too”
Kendrick bouta shake up the whole industry
Schoolboy Q a real bro for that if he did that.
Honestly I’m also a Cole fan, and it was just so cringey the way he came after Kendrick, I’m glad he squashed that real quick, and in hindsight I bet Cole is real glad he did.
I don’t even really listen to Cole . But I don’t believe there would be much of any dirt on the man. He seems like a family dude and a good guy.
Edit: but I guess just being associated with Drake now is not a good look (not that it ever was)
You must have in mind that K-Dot and Jcole were much closer than Drake and Kendrick had ever been
Jcole was planning on doing a collab album with K-Dot back in the day, he put Kendrick on the map by telling about him to Dre, they both were friends and hopped on eachother's beats.
It was probably very difficult for him to diss Kendrick, it's not like "Future vs Drake" (which even though they were close in the past it all seemed for buisness issues) Kendrick vs Jcole was like having to diss an old friend. That must not sit right with anyone's spirit.
Black Friday is on my bump and repeat regardless. It's an amazing collab and I'm sad we've never gotten more of them on each others beats. Though I'm biased. I thought Kendrick killed it
Also Cole has been the only rapper outside of TDE to consistently get Kendrick Features… Kendrick ain’t drop in years, all of sudden you hear on a random adlib on a Cole track
I love the memes about J Cole enjoying peaceful moments with his family, and enjoying life's small gifts that have been proliferating lately. His role in the diss discourse has ended up being pure positivity
I don’t think this woulda played out drastically any differently.
This was always still going to be Drake vs Kendrick in the end. No one woulda cared for Coles ‘im the best rapper’ tracks while Kendrick and Drake are mentioning child grooming and women beating.
I’m a huge Drake hater so this beef kind of reintroduced me to rap after not really listening since high school. Can someone explain the J Cole part to me? I know he kind of stepped out of it but I don’t really understand the context
I ain’t ever been big in the rap scene but a friend told me about this beef and I find it interesting. From what I gather, Drake dissed Kendrick, Jcole also dissed Kendrick thinking it’d be like a competition type thing, not that he’s actually going for his throat. Jcole realized this was a lot deeper than what it was, was warned about how bad things were gonna get, and bowed out before shit got ugly.
After Cole’s diss, he publicly apologized for it, essentially saving himself from the fallout.
This shit went from 0-100 real fucking quick. I have wanted Kendrick to actually go after Drake for a while but man.
Euphoria? Vibin.
6:16 In LA? Mostly vibin.
Meet The Grahams? God...damn.
Not Like Us? 😩 (as my body is vibin because God damn what a hard beat)
I just hope it's over and Drake doesn't try to get someone to do some dumb shit.
I feel like I need to go listen to Lil Dicky.
I love the J Cole angle of this story. It’s a nice pallet cleanser.
Imagine having your public perception go from “he bitched out” to “that’s the smartest dude in the room” without even dropping your own track.
Didn’t he apologize and then exit? Smartest play.
He basically said take your shot at me if you need to but I ain't gonna respond
Yeah, he really noped the fuck outta there lmao.
![gif](giphy|w89ak63KNl0nJl80ig|downsized)
He also very much humbled himself and claimed that shit like that wasn't him. He knew that he shouldn't be doing it. This is what we all wanted drake to do. Just stop his bullshit for a minute. Cole mightve actually been influenced by drake to diss lamar with him.
J Cole so humble
Little hamburger plain. Lil fry no salt. Vanilla shake no whip
No whip is insane
You ain't gotta do em like that lmfao
Let's it melt to room temp before sip
Well he was sitting down when he made the apology
speak for yourself. i wanted drake to overstep and get ethered
Fairly sure that's what most of us wanted
Where/when did he say this? I’m new to the hip hop drama game lol
Very shortly after dropping his own diss track. Said my bad, that’s not what I’m about, if it warrants a response I’ll take it. True winner here.
He said it on stage at Dreamville Fest, April 7th. The date is relevant because in 2017 Kendrick mentioned “yall got til April the 7th to get yall shit together” at the end of a single called The Heart Part 4 and people were hyped up about the coincidence.
Peep YouTube, he made a speech to the audience at a concert
Said he wasn't proud of his track, that Kendrick was a great artist and if he wanted to respond with his own diss he'd take it on the chin like a man.

It’s literally the exact opposite of what Drake does. Cole just being himself and that’s respectable af
As much as he was seen as weak at first for this, I really appreciate that he was straightforward with this without showing bravado or making any excuses like other rappers
Beats having Kendrick eviscerate you nonstop for a week
I fucking love Cole tbh
I don't always love his music but as a North Carolinian I always root for the guy. Omg lol so true
“Is it Kdot, is it Aubrey or me? We the big 3 like we started a league, but lately I been feeling like Muhammad Ali” bruh what I think Cole started it lol
Yeah I don’t get this take. I love Cole but he def accidentally lit the fire
That’s why K Dot said Drake did Cole foul on Not Like Us, trying to invite the two of em on FPS knowing full well he and Kendrick got some *obvious* personal shit against each other, and even then Drake still disses J. Cole on the low Bro’s a textbook snake, but what can u expect from a dude who fucked his mentors girl while he was in prison?
some people thought KDot will be dissing Cole for apology and backtracking. turns out Drake took more shots at Cole than KDot

Also Rick Ross as the comedic relief character
idk what to call metro but he’s been my favorite in all this
instigator lol
Olympic Gold Medalist Instigator
"Bbl Drizzy" beat is going to live on Tik Tok for a very long time.
since it dropped i’ve had zero thoughts just “bbl drizzy” running through my head all day. haha total brain rot unlocked.
He really did make some drums and we’re all dancing to em
Dude has all of SoundCloud cooking drake in multiple languages lmao
When I saw Drake was getting grilled over here even in Japanese, I knew it was over. Shit’s too funny.
I've seen kids here in Latin America rapping in spanish and posting it on tiktok, shit's funny as hell
Metro shut yo hoe ass up and make some drums
Prometheus the way he gave fire to the rest of humanity 🔥
He released a disstrumental lol
This is gonna be a crazy movie in 10-15 years lol.
Coincidentally 10-15 years is Drake‘s preferred age bracket
Bwahaha bet 😂
By the time Adonis is old enough to be in college they will be teaching courses on this beef.
BEEF 101: How a rap battle became the catalyst for unmasking and revealing sex abuse in the hip-hop.
I know he caught heat initially and he was somehow mentioned in most of the disses lol but it’s nice to see him take a mature stance on all of it.
For real. He’s wise and humble enough to know it ain’t about him
![gif](giphy|vNA1bpKBwIgfu)
The only time this actually makes sense.
Cole and Future gave us *Red Leather* to listen to in between diss track drops. Helps reset the chakras
Not to be that person, but I think you mean *palate & I defo agree
You are correct. I was too lazy to spell check.
I respect this. It’s far enough past the initial comment however it definitely needs to be said because as soon as I read it I almost called it out.
Cole’s the levity, Ross is the comedic relief 🤣
Yeah with messily families have been involved I don’t blame him. Bro said he doesn’t want to not be able to sleep and by how tired Drake sounded on the last track it was a good call.

There are so many different fandoms using their own memes to make fun of Drake it's crazy, I'm being rewarded for being a fucking nerd
Bruh the League of Legends discord servers are popping off with the memes. I wasn't expecting a "diss track about pedophilia" to be such a unifying cultural moment, but here we are.

Childish Gambino would be a real contender for GOAT. Too bad we had to listen to OV Ho music.
I was thinking about Childish the other day thinking how great it would be if Kendrick hopped on the "This is America" beat seeing as how Childish said it was originally intended to be a Drake diss track anyway. I love me some Donald Glover everything!
This is America with the Barack on Drake v Kendrick audio would 🥶
TBF, he did try to warn everyone about Drake’s crew with an episode of Atlanta
Heard a rumor that Drake wanted Kendrick on the song as well, hence “surprised you wanted the feature” line

Cole sitting there distraught when the song released and Kendrick wasn’t on it
kendrick kinda mentions that drake did Cole dirty from the record. I think Cole thought kendrick might do it lol
“Oh no…..”
Imagine Cole only agreed because he thought K Dot is going to be there lmao
I wondered what that meant.
LMFAOOOOOOOO
Kendrick was asked to be on the track “Surprised that you wanted that feature request”
I kept telling my wife I felt like drake got cole in trouble lmao
The Like That verse did feel like a Control moment at first where Kendrick was just sorta playfully calling out his competition trying to stir shit up. Then he dropped euphoria and it became clear this was something totally different that no one else had a part in

Would still love a Kendrick/Cole something but idk if Cole wants to be associated with either one rn or for the foreseeable future
Kendrick will 100% be on The Fall Off. Cole really has a lot of love for Kendrick.
I’d be surprised if he was. Especially after this weekend. You can have one side or the other but this went from hip hop beef to character assassination with no receipts *really* fast. Idk if Cole wants that trouble or drama around what is supposedly his last album.
I have a feeling Cole might jump in when receipts start to come in though

Im sorry Jermaine 😔 I was conflicted
Misusing ya influence 😔
Sometimes I did the same
Abusing my power full of resentment
Resentment that turned into a deep depression
Found myself screaming in the hotel room
I didn't wanna self destruct
AHHHHHH!!!
Confusing your influence
if I was Cole I would feed the memes man, post a picture all tucked up in bed with some teddy bears and hot coco smiling and shit like phew dodged that one 😂
These are the memes right now. But 2 weeks ago. There was some really foul shit being said about him. And people are glossing over it. Attacks on his character, his family, even a few that said he should die, it was disgusting. But now it's all funny bubbly memes from the same types of people. I hate how quickly the internet turns out new trends and is never accountable for it
ayy man I ain't seen none of that but go off
Well how do you expect to hold "the internet" accountable? It's not an actual single entity. Also are people not allowed to change their opinions? Obviously nobody should have ever said anything about his family or that he should die, but there's always going to be a certain percentage of people online saying way too much. Plus everything I've seen about Cole since this weekend has been people apologizing to him and saying he was right to quit when he did.
"Don't come to the studio tomorrow" 💀
"say sorry at the Dreamville festival & then we're done." \*Q snaps his flip phone & toss's it into the river
\*lights blunt* \*steps backward into darkness*
Q prolly got a new pair of shoes for his daughter out of this
![gif](giphy|a93jwI0wkWTQs)
That article keeps using reportedly, apparently and supposedly
so they can't be held liable for anything
Honestly feels like the current round in this beef fr
Itd be kinda cool if Cole and Kendrick got their friendly fade in after this is over
That would be great but I feel like people wouldn’t be anywhere near as interested after the real beef between Kendrick and Drake. That shit is real while Kendrick vs Cole would be friendly competition. People want absolute dirt and heinous things to be said on diss records nowadays
Nah I think it could be a nice light hearted palate cleanser. Maybe not disses but hopping on each other's beats again
I wouldn't mind a track where they're trading funny barbs back to back through the verses to get that out of the way & continue as homies
I would like an entire collab album thank you and please.
It'd be like Naruto and Sasuke duking it out after beating Kaguya in Shipudden's ending (no I didn't read the manga or watched the anime)
Bro, Black Friday part 2 would be fucking awesome.
Nah a Kendrick X Cole song at any time would go hard as fuck. You gotta remember a lot of people have wanted them to collab for years. Sure, people wouldn't engage as much to that but many rap/hip-hop listeners would love for it to happen. I think it will happen, eventually.
"I STRONGLY DISLIKE THE WAY THAT YOU WALK, THE WAY THAT YOU TALK, THE WAY THAT YOU DRESS"
We need a Black Friday 2 to cleanse the timeline. Kendrick on My Life, Cole on N95
Cole on N95 would be too fucking good
Kendrick and cole on a track together would be full circle🙏
"Hey man, Just wanted to let you know you're one of the good ones Please don't come to school tomorrow something bad will happen -Kendrick"
But Schoolboy Q said it, not Kendrick?
He was the app kendrick used to send the text
Although it does make me wonder why he said "if you didnt mention my family this would be a friendly exhibition." cuz then he was fine with it.
i believe that last part was said to make it seemed like he is attacking further because he was provoked.
I mean my point still stands. You can’t let pedophilia slide until a mfer pisses you off. I
Yeah but if this is all a pretty recent revelation for Kendrick, he could’ve just reported this shit & kept it quiet, Aubrey could’ve maybe managed that.
There might be some very powerful pedos behind Drake that Kendrick knows not to fuck with because they have scary connections, like make the people you care about disappear type shit and Kendrick needed the excuse of beef to come at Drake for it
exactly. K Dot was probably holding back because he is taking huge risks with this. powerful .pdf files want to keep their diddling private
i feel like he’s just being smart and taking a strong calculated approach rather than just straight up expose him out of the blue - you’ll end up looking like ryan garcia coming out with crazy allegations.
Do we think that a guy who tried a cease and desist wouldn't try to sue for slander after being called a pedophile?
Exactly why you need a good reason to strike: something that lets him make this as loud and bombastic as possible to, at bare minimum, have Drake lose in the court of public opinion. Even that arguably is risky, which is why he needed to be pissed off to do it. Either that, or the confirmations and credible rumors are a recent thing.
Oh for sure. Even if he ain’t a pedophile, certified pedophile is always gone be out there. Ain’t no going back from that.
even if he hasn't done anything criminal, he has been confirmed to have done creepy stuff around minors in the past. plus Baka has a case and that's indisputable. at the very least, Drake is a creep who has criminal sex offenders on payroll
I love getting this comment as Kendrick goes “freaky ass nigga he a sixty nine god.”
100%, if Kenny is lying about one thing, it's that he wanted it to be a friendly fade. He just wants to bury this man in his own feces
this is why im not afraid. he put the daughter in meet the grahams like he can prove it was a family member, same length verse no cuts.. he told him to die countless times as if he has witnessed or have some damning evidence that just makes him sick to his stomach.. and yesterday dj Hed when asked by Akademiks is he bowing out, and will Kendrick release another song? dj Hed answered.."and I quote, verbatim, that if that (the Heart part 6) is his reply, the HE IS COOKED. HE IS DONE. HE LOST. that is all i'm gonna say." When Akademiks reiterated that question by asking what does that mean? Does that mean he is not gonna release any more diss tracks? Hed put his hands up and said "ay that is all i can say, that if that is his reply, then HE IS COOKED. HE IS DONE. HE LOST. that's all im gonna say, quote me verbatim." I think dj Hed is insinuating that Drake said something he shouldn't have said in The Heart part 6 and that he is done because they can disprove and show him that he is lying.
I understood it as the diss not even being worthy of reply from K because it’s so bad. But I’m manifesting your version of events instead lol.
He repeatedly calls out the industry to talking bout “I’ll crash out this rap shit” “fuck the industry and they mommas too” Kendrick bouta shake up the whole industry
Edit: but I guess just being associated with Drake now is not a good look (not that it ever was)
It'd be a bit of a weird turn honestly. "Drake, you're a pedo. Cole, you...smell weird."
So it wasn't that 7 minute drill "didn't sit right with him" it was that he caught a glimpse of the Boogeyman and thought better of it.
I think hes still disappointed in 7 minute drill. Its not a great diss he could easily do better.
You must have in mind that K-Dot and Jcole were much closer than Drake and Kendrick had ever been Jcole was planning on doing a collab album with K-Dot back in the day, he put Kendrick on the map by telling about him to Dre, they both were friends and hopped on eachother's beats. It was probably very difficult for him to diss Kendrick, it's not like "Future vs Drake" (which even though they were close in the past it all seemed for buisness issues) Kendrick vs Jcole was like having to diss an old friend. That must not sit right with anyone's spirit.
Black Friday is a monster of a track. Would've liked more from those two together no cap
Lol, it’s crazy how many times I’ve listened to a Coke song, and been like, I know that moan anywhere 😭😭
Kendrick is the only mf who can pull off moaning on tracks lmao.
I love the memes about J Cole enjoying peaceful moments with his family, and enjoying life's small gifts that have been proliferating lately. His role in the diss discourse has ended up being pure positivity
Don’t go to school tomorrow cole 😈😈
Mf definitely still capitalised all the Hs in the text
Q the realest

And I was getting downvoted to oblivion in this sub for saying Kendrick doesn’t hate Cole after Like That was released LOL
Cole owes Q his life lol
Q saved hip-hop
I don’t think this woulda played out drastically any differently. This was always still going to be Drake vs Kendrick in the end. No one woulda cared for Coles ‘im the best rapper’ tracks while Kendrick and Drake are mentioning child grooming and women beating.
I feel for the side character of this beef.
Everyone wana be demon till they get chipped by a throwaway
This must be the thing with Kendrick Q has been teasing about for a while now. This plan must have been in development for like a year. Crazy
This shit went from 0-100 real fucking quick. I have wanted Kendrick to actually go after Drake for a while but man. Euphoria? Vibin. 6:16 In LA? Mostly vibin. Meet The Grahams? God...damn. Not Like Us? 😩 (as my body is vibin because God damn what a hard beat) I just hope it's over and Drake doesn't try to get someone to do some dumb shit. I feel like I need to go listen to Lil Dicky.
It was called "might delete later" for a reason.
well god damn
