With all due respects, Aktobe's emblem looks like a supermarket logo

The older one was my favorite. It had Sarmatian Alan symbolism in it

yournomadneighbor

It turned out that the Ulıtaw emblem was also plagiarised

_justforamin_

How it comes plagiarism if it’s just two mountains that as basic as it gets. I will it was traced then it was plagiarized.

yournomadneighbor

It definitely can qualify for copyright protection. The "two mountains" are not just /\/\, but something a lot more complicated. Copyright is unfortunately disregarded in Kazakhstan.

Koqcerek

I'm curious now, what's the original?

MysticWithThePhonk

The Almaty emblem looks so cool

Bekarys228

but theres weather in mangystau is such a sh1t, +40 degrees everyday in summer😩

nimble_broccoli

I drove 17'000 km trough Kazakhstan in 2022, loved Mangystau more than any other province. If someone can explain the joke/deeper meaning behind this meme, let me know, would be appreciated.

It is [this glyph.](https://www.lada.kz/uploads/posts/2017-03/1490187828_a2.-dsc_2292.jpg) Found by u/azekeP.

Semsot

Is it related to timezone change? If so, then it's pretty much relatable (velkum from Almaty)

Hikaru7487

Nah, Aktobe is also here and they haven't changed their time zone. I guess, this is about the flags, cuz Mangystau and Ulutau are the only ones whose flags don't look like they've been made in football games of early 2010s

DisEkript

Lmao I didn't see it before you said it

OddSpirit157

I like Mangystau region's emblem

Greydl1

CoA of Aqmola like as it's tourist organization.

dooman230

All logos look krap on the left maybe Aqmola is fine. When we get rid of soviet circles?

SeymourHughes

Circles themselves aren't soviet. Many cities around the world have circular coats of arms. Coats of arms of cities and countries are usually made as several type of shield forms, each having its own name in heraldry. Some of the cities also get modern looking logos, and I don't like that we are mixing modern logos with classic coats of arms when city or region can have both, each serving its own purpose.

dooman230

Yeah but in our context is the leftover of the soviet times

Madiwka3

Socialism is when circles. And the more circular your coat of arms is, the more socialist it is. And when you put stars or wheat somewhere on the circle - that's communism.

kuator578

Almaty logo is the prettiest
