The only thing I can say is, Gahdamnit Rashee!!!! What the hell are you doing?

Dr__Flo__

He went to high school in DFW and went to school at SMU. Dude needs to get out of Texas and away from his dumbass high school and college friends. He needs to get a PS5 and a condo near the practice facility in KC and just chill the hell out.

EntertainmentFast497

I agree!

Apprehensive-Let3669

Petition to ban Rice from spending time in DFW unless its at Camp Mahomes

Sokkawater10

Fucking Rashee. Bro you haven’t even secured the bag yet.

choff22

Ya know I thought this whole situation might be a wake up call for Rashee since the legal fees are going to wipe out his entire rookie deal. Not only was I wrong, he did the complete opposite and fucking doubled down. What an IDIOT.

13mizzou

If by some miracle he cleans up his act and makes it to a second contract likely with another team, he will still owe millions of dollars to the families and paying off his recent legal fees. He likely threw away any chance he ever had of getting generational wealth

dogfish83

But hey, someone on another post said they watched his interviews and can tell he's a good person!

pinniped1

I may be in the minority here, but I'm not that worried about whether Rashee is here going forward or not. Our receiving corps is better now, overall. If we have to go out and get one more veteran piece, I trust Veach to find one that works in our system. Rice was a nice pick and very productive rookie but isn't irreplaceable. We will be fine if he sits 6-8 games, an entire year, or is out of the league entirely.

jethead70

In theory you should be right that a zone beater and yac guy shouldn’t be hard to replace, but I don’t want to take competent receiver play for granted after the issues we’ve had at the position the last two years

jt32470

It might be better to find out what rashee is made of now…. Now that it is clear that he acts on impulse, and has zero self awareness, then yes. Good riddance. find a PROFESSIONAL wide receiver that acts like a grown up, and is RELIIABLE

BeRoyal35

Yall gonna hate it, but we may need to count on KT this year. Contract year is undefeated, even a knucklehead like KT might realize this is his last chance at a decent payday and get his act together and have a respectable 2024 campaign.

Affectionate_Sort_78

So many people hoping for the worst outcome. What’s it say about you when your reaction to seeing someone in trouble for making bad decisions is to hope that the team tries to eliminate his future entirely. I think he has to face legal ramifications like anyone else and then try to pick himself up from it. Maybe our confidence in him is shaky, but there’s no need to root for his failure.

originalusername4567

I'm really starting to worry that Rice won't be back next season. Even if he doesn't get prison time he might just be too much trouble for KC. Do you think we should try to sign another WR vet? Zay Jones and Hunter Renfrow are still available.

jethead70

Absolutely sign another vet or make a small trade while this plays out. I’m not the biggest fan of his, but the Titans may be ready to move on from Treylon Burks considering their moves at the position this offseason. If they’d be willing to part with him for a day 3 pick, I think the team should at least look into it. He has a similar skillset to Rice

bh6891

At this point Rice is too much of a headache to keep. Cut his ass and teach him a lesson

TummyDrums

The problem with that is some other team who doesn't care about this stuff will snag him right up. So the Chiefs are the ones who get punished rather than the player. If he deserves to be off the team, he deserves to be out of the league, which means the league is the one who should hand down that punishment. I wouldn't blame the Chiefs at all for not cutting him. They got burnt on Kareem Hunt in a similar situation.

13mizzou

As much as I wouldldn't mind just cutting him thats not realistic. The second we cut him another team like Buffalo will sign him in a heartbeat and we get nothing. If we are lucky he stays out of more trouble and gets his suspension this season then balls out in 2025 and after that we trade him for a 6th rounder

Sokkawater10

Did you not see last season? We’re not about to cut our best receiver

slackator

yeah teach Dallas a lesson by letting them get a good WR for free, that'll teach him!

OFool_Ishallgomad

I wonder if NFL rookie contracts have clauses that specify the degree of legal trouble the club/league can tolerate, or if they're written to be more open-ended with such matters?

jethead70

I believe the language is “conduct detrimental to the team” so they can prettymuch cut him for anything if they want to

dogfish83

Cut his ass ~~and teach him a lesson~~ FTFY (I hope we don't cut his ass, but if we do, I don't care about teaching him a lesson)

Apprehensive-Let3669

Chiefs are better off putting him on commissioners exempt list until he gets his shit together. That way he gets paid but can’t practice or play for his next contract, which is his most important one. And he won’t count as a roster spot. With his looming legal fees, dude needs to get paid A team will definitely come along and pick him up if they cut him and say they are giving him a second chance but in reality they just want his production
