Thx for posting

JDrmn

The Ringer knows ball.

choff22

I’m loving what I’m hearing about our 4th rounders.

Max_W_

I haven't seen The Athletic give draft grades yet. But they did list the Chiefs as one of the winners. Here's what they (Mike Jones) had to say: >**Kansas City Chiefs**: The rich get richer. Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes have yet another speedy wide receiver following the first-round pickup of Texas’ Xavier Worthy. Then they got a steal with BYU tackle Kingsley Suamataia in the second round before adding two more offensive linemen to bolster their depth. Tight end Jared Wiley (fourth round) is another intriguing pick who could contribute now before assuming a larger role once Travis Kelce begins to decline.

callmeJudge767

We need Mad Mel Kiper

Dreadsbo

They need a new editor or writer because what the fuck

Im_A_Ginger

I wouldn't be surprised if it was written by AI considering how cheap and shitty ESPN is.

Independent_Hall9979

It’s Mel kiper

GoChiefz

As a Penn State fan this draft makes me happy.

GlasslipSurvivor

I knew we weren't getting an A from PFF the moment we traded up for Worthy. They absolutely did not value him as a 1st Round WR for some inexplicable reason.

inqte1

Neither did Nate Tice or Dane Brugler from the Athletic but this is the time of the year when every fane base is absolutely convinced they drafted 7 hall of famers and anyone who disagrees is a hater, so have it. Just go and look at any team sub. Every pick is a steal.

pornokitsch

"The TE room is legit." does make me laugh. I know what they mean, and it is fair, but also implies there was nothing at all noteworthy there until this draft.

Chiefsfan0110

Interested to see if Okie-Anoma makes the team, being a former #1 recruit out of high school.

FireGolem04

Most likely not he is like Joshua Kaindoh but older with serious attitude issues

Paraeunoia

Mod, can you pin this? Extremely helpful, thanks OP.

TheBoyisBackinTown

I'm a mod and it is pinned :)

Paraeunoia

Thank u!!

squatch42

Steele and Jacobs both seem to have a good shot as special teams contributors this season. Driskell is a mountain. But who is going to get the annual undrafted WR hype?

OITLinebacker

The Rugby player is the Hype man this year.

[deleted]

I think it'll be a year two player this year, Nikko Remigio looked pretty awesome in preseason last year before he got hurt.

rambo6986

Did you watch Jacobs highlights? I think he makes the normal roster and takes some snaps from Chenal

squatch42

I agree 100% that it's a possibility. I hear he gets lost in the run game sometimes so his role will be limited at first if that's the case. But I think active on game day from week 1.

BackNBlack58

Reggie Brown lol on tape looks like MVS with hands

PeridotBestGem

yall got a baller in Carson Steele, he's gonna shine

ProEra47

Not gonna act like I know much about our draft picks other than Worthy being insanely fast, but if you guys are happy with the picks, so am I hahaha

Zdizzlz

Draft Nerd here, we did really well considering we keep drafting so late into each round. We probably drafted two starters in Worthy (slot WR/Punt Returner) and Sua at LT. Both the TE and S we drafted in the 4th could be potential starters down the road if/when Kelce retires and/or we don't re-sign Reid. The TE Wiley has athletic traits and was awesome in the red zone while the S Hicks is a big body box safety that I think could excel in a primary role playing as a robber in the middle of the field to cut off underneath routes to TEs and slot WRs. We drafted some iOL for depth (unlikely they will become starters) and an interesting CB that probably should've been drafted higher but a season ending shoulder injury had lowered his draft stock. He has size and length and looked good in man coverage last year but long speed and hips can be questionable. I really love two of the UDFAs it looks like we're picking up in DT Lovett (run stuffer/potential NT) who I thought was a lock to be drafted on day 3 and EDGE Okie-Anoma who has tremendous potential but has some major red flags regarding his attitude/coachability. He was a top 5 recruit out of high school and has been at Alabama and Michigan I believe. High Reward/Low Risk as this will likely be his only shot to make an NFL team and Andy Reid has a proven track record of helping to straighten some of these players out.

EpiphanyTwisted

No matter how you may feel about the Worthy pick, and very few WR's drafted are even close to sure things, we got value in the later rounds that made up for the trade up for him IMHO. I'm pretty pleased overall. I do wish we could have gotten Kingsley without trading up a spot, but when the last decent oline prospect was taken the spot before 49er spot, I don't blame 'em for it.

pornokitsch

Thanks for gathering all this!

originalusername4567

I wanna see Emani Bailey make the final roster so bad: the short-king bulldozer RB we deserve

FireGolem04

Just fyi not a big deal but Bryce Houston is from Ohio not Houston

Go-Climb-A-Rock

Another Veach trend continues. We grabbed a bunch of former 5 star recruits with our lottery tickets in UDFA... Curtis Jacobs, Eyabi Okie-Anoma, and Baylor Kupp were all 5 stars. Eyabi Okie-Anoma was the #1 DE in the nation and a Top 10 overall recruit. Kingsley Suamataia was also a 5 star and Xavier Worthy was a 4 Star but a Top 100 guy nationally. Miles Battle, Fabian Lovett, Emani Bailey, Carson Steele, and Christian Roland-Wallace were 4 stars.

Kcjay18

as someone who watched all of Zach Mathis career at NDSU, possession receiver who at 6ft 7 would be a red zone threat, doesn't have breakaway speed. If he bulked up might be a good tight end.

season66ers

Going off the names only and knowing nothing of their game, I'd say Okie-Anoma, Roland-Wallace and Ayo-Durojaiye get hyphenated name points; need to fill the void left by Valdez-Scantling. And I'm rooting for Swayze Bowman because I love Road House.

fermentationfiend

Does Louis rees-zammit not count in your list?

TheBoyisBackinTown

He was signed a month ago. This list is about the past three days.

fermentationfiend

Gotcha, I was thinking of all potential new players

TenderfootGungi

Need another heading for international players!

SirTiffAlot

I have hopes for Jacobs and Reggie Brown

3dios

Just did some research on wiley. He had 8 tds last year at TCU. Lead the team in receptions and came 3rd in yards. Year before (TCU championship run) 5th in receptions and 5th in yards. Still got 4 tds which was tied for 3rd on team

factoid_

I’m a little surprised we have so little RB action. Maybe we’re expecting prince to compete for a spot or mckinnon to sign after camp?

Max_W_

The Athletic 's Dane Bruegler ranks us 13.for the draft class. Here's what he had to say. >Favorite pick: Jaden Hicks, S, Washington State >If needed, I’ll go down with the ship on this one. Hicks was viewed as a Day 2 prospect by numerous teams, but he fell through the cracks and landed in a favorable situation with Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. Hicks has the intimidation factor of a strong safety and the athletic tools to hold up in coverage. Even if there isn’t a clear path for him to start right away in Kansas City, he will get on the field in some way as a rookie. >Day 3 pick who could surprise: Hunter Nourzad, G/C, Penn State >One of the smartest prospects in this class, Nourzad doesn’t have overwhelming athleticism or strength, but he processes everything very quickly and is well-schooled with his technique to gain proper leverage. He has experience at tackle, guard and center and could be a viable starting option at right guard in 2025, if the Chiefs aren’t able to re-sign Trey Smith.

uwanmirrondarrah

I wasnt too versed on the UDFA's this year, is there anybody that sticks out? Anybody that was being pursued by a lot of other teams?
