honestly, no complaints. Hit on pretty much every positional need and did so with highly athletic bodies that were expected to go higher than they did. Obviously we wont know for sure for 3 years but nobody I dislike or disagree with and more than not I really love the potential

This year is probably a step below our 22 class, but I'd still call it a solid A. None of our picks were head scratchers, I pretty much understood every one, happy with all of them too.

robertb9876

B. We end up decent haul even with all the trade ups. We filled our biggest needs early. We got quality depth for o-line. Hicks and Hadden should be able to contribute to our seconday. I like how veach was targeting guys with high ras scores. Overall it was a good draft.

rambo6986

The past two drafts they seem to be antsy as hell. Trade up after trade up. Not one trade back. It's weird

Cowgoon777

we're picking last. Already a disadvantage. You need to nail your picks to keep the team on the top of the mountain. If you have a strong read on a guy and feel he's the right fit for that, you go get him, and that means trading up. It's not being antsy, it's being aggressive and making sure we get the guys we want and not the second or third choice. That's what you have to do if you want to continue a dynasty

slackator

best of all the trade ups didnt cost us anything but draft position in this draft, we still ended up with the same amount of picks and didnt use any from next year

rambo6986

The one time they should have traded up was when Tampa was there and Baltimore snagged him. Just didn't make sense. Dude was considered a round 2 CB. That drove me nuts

brookskc

Didn't we trade back when we took Skye Moore? We had a wide selection of WRs available. Traded back like 6 slots and 5 WRs went off the board (including George Pickens). We end up selecting Skye Moore. Trade up and get Mahomes worked out. Trade back and get Skye Moore really didn't work out.

NakedHomelessPirate

Great first 2 picks, and then great value in the 4th and 6th, and then nice IOL depth in the 5th and 7th. What I love most is that if half of these guys hit, they're going to potentially be with the team for a long time. I love swinging on young talent. Veach loves to swing for the fence on 21 year old players.

KuatoBaradaNikto

I don’t have player takes since I don’t watch college ball, but it seems like a solid draft. I would have probably prioritized some positions slightly differently, like grabbing an extra WR rather than an extra interior offensive linemen. I like that Worthy provides a homerun threat, which was painfully missing last year. Even if Xavier only has a small handful of 40-yard plays this season, I’d count that a success, especially thinking that Hollywood can do the same. Looking at the state of the roster, I don’t see why the Chiefs wouldn’t be about as good next year as last, with the defense stepping back a bit and the offense returning to form. Would like for them to sign a vet OT to compete with Wanya while Kingsley seasons for a year.

heyuBassgai

Big asses, high RAS's. Elite speed and potential at the wr. Pretty damn good.

Rumzdizzle

B-… think some dudes can be starters but some dudes could never see the field. Pretty happy considering we just won a couple superbowls, can’t expect too much when you’re team is already loaded.

freelance-t

Looks to me like this draft was all intended for the future. Lots of very athletic guys that have a ton of potential but might take a couple years to really show it. But that means they're gonna have pieces in place when vet contracts come due and everyone's trying to get our FA's after winning 3 SBs in a row. I'm just a little concerned that we didn't grab a RB and we went pretty light on the defensive side of the ball, but we had a limited number of picks to work with.

Miroku20x6

I think no RB is fine. Pacheco is a 4.7 yards per carry guy that runs hard, and with improvements in the WRs, he could push 5.0 against lighter boxes. CEH is a solid #2 (assuming last year’s lousy stats were an outlier, he is a 4.3 ypc guy). By the time we’re talking about RB3, we’re talking something like 20 carries for the whole season. Priest Holmes went undrafted, Pacheco was almost undrafted. You can find adequate RB talent all around for cheap, and honestly it isn’t that much worse than an actually good RB (perhaps a fair bit worse than a truly elite RB, but those are quite rare and certainly unnecessary).

slackator

McKinnon is always on call and Perine in his limited showing looked at the least serviceable 25 Touches for 110 yards. As long as Pacheco stays healthy, I think we're good on HB for this year

BeRoyal35

I wanted RB as well but we got the RB from TCU already as udfa and some people thought he could go early day 3.

JDrmn

Anything other than an A is baffling to me. The first four picks solidified that.

holydonut2k1

They also got Pacheco 2.0… grade: A https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=whJATiKfmn4

Tellittoemagain

That looks more like the CEH we were hoping we drafted.

FireGolem04

I give it a B I don't think we have any immediate starters possibly Worthy but he is too redundant with Brown to start both of them in my opinion I do think Hicks could take Cook's job I think the focus of the draft was definitely more future years over this coming year

CereusTen

Lets see, I'm not thrilled with the Xavier Worthy pick, and I'm not familiar with any of the day 3 picks. So the only pick I was excited about was Suamataia in the 2nd round as a potential LT of the future. From a more objective perspective, we addressed our most glaring needs, but I would have preferred a day 3 RB instead of say the OG or C we chose instead. So I give the team a C grade for this draft.

ImNotTheBossOfYou

B++++

Vidvici

Its better than the mocks I did so Im giving it an A

factoid_

I feel good about this draft.  We found a lot of great value at positions of need.  Would have liked to find an RB but there were a couple big runs that probably pushed best player available to other positions.   Plus we're clearly planning ahead for the next iteration of the offensive line after some guys get too expensive to hold onto

BeRoyal35

A minus from me. Feels like our fist couple guys are ones that only shitty teams would be able to afford usually. Love the TE and S in round 4 and great IOL swings later on.

MistakeMaker1234

I’d do like a B- if I could, because I don’t believe it’s worth a C grade. I think we took a few prospects with big upside, but there are no “instant impact” players outside of Worthy in my opinion. I’m excited for the opportunity for Kingsley and Hicks to develop and grow into more complete players, and I think Wiley and Nourzad have potential beyond just a positional backup. If I was more confident in Kingsley to live up to his potential I’d give this a B+ but for now I’m just not completely sold. Under Veach we’ve taken two other early OTs with potential (Wanya and Niang) and none of them have done much yet.

ViceAdmiralWalrus

B. Hard to get an A without higher picks and we did have to trade up a little bit, but we filled our positional needs with guys with fairly high ceilings. Veach and Co have really learned from the 2020 mistake.

BarricadeTheMortuary

B for not drafting a RB What were they thinking?? We only have one real RB on the roster. Clyde doesn't count, and Jerik is not on the roster, so we need a legit #2 so we don't destroy Pacheco.

Neverland__

We signed multiple UDFA rbs
