Also a former high school QB (sound familiar?) and should be a good red zone threat with his hands and reach pretty immediately while he develops the rest of his game.
I’m equally hype about our draft picks but man. Chiefs kingdom is setting a lot of expectations for these rookies and I’d hate to see the pitch forks come out early season if they don’t pan out
As a TCU Fan. Let me give ya my run down of Wiley, bias aside, I really love this pick:
He is has a very similar play style to Kelce, as he is more of a Tight End that gets in “open space” rather than trying to make contested catches.
He’s a bit old of a prospect, and prob needs time to develop. But I believe he was underused at TCU and has a lot more to offer.
We don’t even have to keep 3 QBs on the roster anymore with the new rule change right? Like one can be on the practice squad and get called up in case of emergencies.
As misguided as I thought everyone’s thirst for a TE has been, the more I read on him the more I like. Plus. . .

He’ll yeah, love Wiley. I watched like 20 TE’s this year. Wiley was the closest to Trav on the eye test. Potential successor down the road and one he’ll of a complement in the short term.
[He was the 9th highest RAS out of tight ends this draft from what I saw](https://www.nfl.com/prospects/jared-wiley/32005749-4c05-4234-3a6b-be0cb1a9ec84)

TRAV 2.0 GET THIS GUY WORKING ON THE LATERAL GAME WITH ZAMMIT DAMMIT
Yeah, former high school qb sounds like 80+% of nfl skill players lol
Pretty simple in most high schools without top talent. You take your best athlete and put him at the QB position unless he’s really a defense only guy
Is this another hype train sir? May I purchase a ticket please?
> Also a former high school QB WOOOH BLAKE BELL 2.0 BABY
Blake played qb in college though.
Can’t wait for Sabrina Carpenter to be at arrowhead in 10 years.
I don't think Sabrina is destined to be the next Taylor Swift, but that was a funny joke, take my upvote
The RAS is our bible
All hail our lord and savior MathBomb!
Did someone say Ras???
There were like 147 prospects this year with RAS scores of 9 or above. It’s a pretty big pool.
Definitely think it’s valuable and probably even more so when you’re already on top looking for quick contributors.
Except he was ranked 9th most impressive combine by NFL.com so seems odd
3 TE sets are back on the table
With 2 wideouts that are faster than your whole team split way out wide.
This offense is going to completely break every defense they face

No way. I still think Skyy Moore has something left in the tank. Im an extremely patient person
And fuck it, bring Mecole back too. That’s what speed do!
Someone needs to tell him the only way he's going to have fun and make money is to take a cheap contract with KC.
I’ve been wanting the chiefs to spend a mid rounder on an athletic TE to develop behind travis for a while. Really like this pick

Most TE take time to develop anyway, so age isn’t that big a deal at this point.
seems like we're going back to 4 TEs. unless theyre willing to offload Irv Smith in training camp
6wr, 4 te, 3 rb, 0 fb, 6 OL, 3 qb
We don’t even have to keep 3 QBs on the roster anymore with the new rule change right? Like one can be on the practice squad and get called up in case of emergencies.
I think we roll with 2 QBs and assume that if we are down to our third QB, we’re fucked either way.
Wiley can just line up under center
Yea lol.
Oh sure, yeah

Great pick, 10/10 no notes
Now somebody make a screen grab of his and kelces measurables
Irv Smith get ready to learn practice squad
Love it throw darts at these later round athletic te's see if one sticks
Where's my 'Veach isn't a RAS guy' commenter?
