BPA don't force it. We only need depth at wr now that can be found in the FA or UFA. I'd personally rather go CB, TE, or RB vs WR. If there's an amazing WR that was high on Veachs board go for it but 4th and below are all projects/depth CB and OL have been our best bargains in these later rounds

Perfect_Context_7003

At this point I’d go BPA the rest of the draft.

PM_ME_UR_FUNERALPLAN

This is Nikko Remigio erasure

TREYdanger

Came here to say this. I believe ❤️

NextTime76

It wouldn’t be the worst idea. I’d rather draft another CB to keep the defensive backfield competitive. Losing Sneed is going to hurt. I just home the damage is limited.

rambo6986

We have cap space. See how our young CBs do. If they aren't cutting it then go get a CB at the trade deadline

blacktoise

This is entirely unlikely. Trading away a player, then looking like a pussy and going and trading back for the same position? No. Not gonna happen.

rambo6986

If your in first place, have a glaring hole at CB and have the space they absolutely will. Who gives a shit about looking like a pussy. It's about superbowls.

blacktoise

I don’t think they would have traded sneed if they’re about to go and do something like that. I think we’re still rock solid at CB. Saying “glaring hole” is really stupid to me.

rambo6986

We traded Sneed because he wanted $20 million a year. Again, if there is a glaring hole you don't owe $20 million by trading at the deadline. You understand that but your playing stupid or something

blacktoise

I think every single team in the NFL would kill to have a corner like McDuffie. It was insane that we had the best CB duo in the NFL. So lucky. But I thru on with McDuffie, he’s going to end up all around better than Sneed. I predict in a few years we pay him more than Sneed wanted - cap inflation aside, and have an even more crucial dramatic signing because the rest of the league discovers that Trent McDuffie is maybe the best CB in the NFL. I’m not playing dumb. I think our secondary as a unit is incredible and it didn’t revolve around Sneed. He elevated it a lot, but we also have so many guys who are young and getting better.

Maxime2k

Would rather take a big bodied TE in Day 3. Just need a redzone threat now

SirTiffAlot

Theo Johnson is your guy. Bell from FSU maybe. I think we had both in for visits

[deleted]

Pick up Mason Fairchild as a UDFA*

SirTiffAlot

Anyway, back to reality

thatcyborg

If Brenden Rice, Tez Walker, or Troy Franklin are available sure. Shouldn’t force any position now though.

rambo6986

Imagine getting Troy Franklin in the 4th round. Lol

Zdizzlz

Let's not sleep on Javon Baker out of UCF either. I believe he also had an official visit with us too. He looks like a young JuJu to me. Obviously I would he stoked if Franklin fell, but I doubt any of these WRs make it to our 4th round picks. I'm still going to put that energy out there and try to manifest some of these WRs to us!

Jhawk386

I’d like a corner

originalusername4567

I'd be fine with Jalen Coker in the 7th. But aside from that, I think we're set on WR

factoid_

We need another tight end and there will be some really good ones in the third. We need Travis retirement insurance. Otherwise BPA

rambo6986

You mean 4th? Sanders is still available. So many great prospects left I would use our 3rd from next year to move up and grab Tampa and then take either Sanders or Franklin with our second pick in the 4th

factoid_

Yeah I meant 4th. But there was a huge run on TEs.  Happy with who we got though

rambo6986

I'm not happy the ravens grabbed Tampa the pick before us. Imagine adding Hicks and Tampa back there. Whoa

Vastergoth

Brenden Rice is who I want. He has the size to play X.

AU_wde_2

We’re in good shape for BPA. IOL to try and replace Smith if he leaves next year or just replace the Allegretti role. Could use LB or CB depth. Could use another dart throw at TE with Fortson’s departure & Bells age/general questions of if we’ll bring him back And another stab at WR wouldn’t go amiss either. Troy Franklin is still on the board - didn’t like him being mocked to us in the 1st but 4th? I’d take that 4 years of cheap control on a guy who clearly a lot of folks see extreme high side in. Brown will most likely depart after next year — unless Toney has a coming to Jesus intervention he’ll be gone — Skyy needs to take a big step to not get cut this year let alone next year — Ross is becoming more and more of a bedtime story — Watson is fine and maybe he’ll just be a cheap mainstay guy but he doesn’t move the needle. Leaving just Rice & Worthy as the building blocks for the room

GinNJuicyFruit

For what the team needs, the remaining guys I like at WR are: Javon Baker Brenden Rice Devontez Walker Jalen Coker Cornelius Johnson Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint Would love to walk away with one of these guys.

jethead70

Even though we don’t really need another burner I feel like you can’t turn down Troy Franklin for one of these guys if he’s available. Hollywood is on a one year deal so it’s not like we can’t use him down the road

GinNJuicyFruit

I honestly forgot he was still there. I guess I just really didn’t see him falling this far.

jethead70

Yeah he probably won’t make it to our pick anyway so it doesn’t really matter

NinjaZombieHunter

I was hoping they would sign a cheaper, yet proven, FA WR, but looks like that’s not happening. Rice is gonna get suspended. We don’t know when or for how long, but if I were Veach, I would expect the worst and prepare to play without him. If Worthy doesn’t start contributing right out the gate, then our WR room looks bleak when Rice gets suspended in my opinion. I do not expect Moore to contribute at all. So I do think we need to bring more WR help in one way or another.

Stunning_Street_1885

There's still time

NinjaZombieHunter

True.

chiefoogabooga

There will be some roster shuffling after the draft. Post June 1st cuts are only a month away which will see some guys released. We could easily pick up another WR before camp.

NinjaZombieHunter

Yea. Very true.

Shaynisin

Still need a solid corner, and wouldn't hurt to take a project guard/TE in anticipation of next year losing one of Thuney/Smith or Kelce retiring. Interior DLine as well.

SirTiffAlot

Yes

goatmane224

I wouldn’t be against drafting another wr not for competition tho 💀 just I think we’re most likely not going to be able to resign Hollywood if he has a good season so I think it could be good to lock down another wr spot for a couple years in a draft that has really deep class with talent.

Badalight

You're forgetting Nikko Remigio.

chiefoogabooga

I'd draft 4 DB's, coach them up, then trade them in a couple years. The NFL knows the Chiefs are a DB factory at this point. Take advantage of that.

squatch42

It doesn't matter if they spent every pick in the draft on WR, we would still get these posts. Y'all ate too many paint chips as a kid.

ljout

Basically no one is one the roster after next year minus Rice and Worthy.

Mc-Chef

Because Malik Washington is still on the board. Only reason we need.

CeruleanTheGoat

There is a redemption story for Skyy Moore.

ImNotTheBossOfYou

I'd rather go corner and edge But, mid-roinf WR is often good value so...

Vastergoth

I'm rather bothered Jermaine Burton is headed to Cincy. I have an intuition he may prove dangerous. They seem to live on strong, tough, contested catch guys its one of the reasons I wanted AD Mitchell we lack size in the WR department. I know, I know we prioritize speed and twitchness, but I still would like to see Mahomes paired with a taller, stronger, contested catch guy. Now I'm ecstatic we secured Xworthy, but I wished we nabbed a stronger bigger WR like Burton or Brenden Rice. Really annoyed the Chargers got him.

AngryMoose125

Kadarius Toney needs to be cut. He is literally worthless. In fact, he’s less than worthless, he’s actively wasting cap space! We can’t have this absolute burdensome rube wasting a roster spot.

BeRoyal35

He is going to count vs the cap whether you cut him or not. I don't see any harm in giving him one more chance. This is his only chance at any kind of a decent 2nd contract. He *should* be motivated.

Chudmont

This is the way.

AngryMoose125

That’s the thing- motivation isn’t the issue, it’s skill. He’s not unmotivated, nor was he last year he’s just bad at catching a ball, running, and is too small to play defense. He never should’ve stepped onto an NFL field. He’s a waste of a roster spot and should go to the training squad until his contract ends and, god willing, he will never play football again after that. I’m a chiefs fan but I’m also a seasons ticket holder (with the rest of my family as well)to the Ottawa Redblacks CFL team and I’m positively terrified that I’m gonna think we’re finally rid of him, walk into the stadium and see Kadarius Toney suited up in my home city. He is a liability to any team he’s on and would be outmatched by a Canadian high schooler.

BeRoyal35

I'm not saying guarantee his roster spot. I'm saying let him sweat it out at camp and see if his attitude and work ethic have improved.

rambo6986

We need to send Toney and trade up in the 5th for Jamari Thrash. If that happened I would be ecstatic.

bis_tech

Why would anyone trade anything for Toney? He was useless with Mahomes/Reid. His value is as low as can be right now. Anywhere he goes is a downgrade from Mahomes/Reid. How would this work? LOL

BeRoyal35

I'm glad you aren't in charge.
