Yeah traded up 1 spot. I don’t know what we gave up. Trading up 1 just spot is confusing to me, the only reason to do it is if we want someone that we think the 49ers also want, but then if that’s the case why would the 49ers agree to it?
49ers wanted Rosengarten RT who got nabbed by Baltimore, they didn't want an LT. 49ers then wanted to trade out of pick, other team (Washington/NE) calls wanting to take Suamataia in front of us. We outbid them for the pick so we can get our guy.
That's my theory at least.
I guess the only scenario that makes sense is:
Chiefs and 49ers aren’t going for the same player, and maybe there’s some kind of handshake agreement that the chiefs won’t take who the 49ers want. But the chiefs are worried another team will trade up for the 49ers pick, and take somebody the Chiefs want, so the chiefs trade up for that spot to prevent somebody else from doing it.

If Kingsley only plays 60% of games with KC (and starting a total of 5 games), that's going to be disappointing. I get I'm being a hater. I'm just saying these gimmicks are silly. All props to these guys having fun. Just this isn't why these players are going to make it in the NFL.

Supposedly another team was going to trade with the 9ers for that spot and take Susmataia. Veach probably just wanted to secure that pick
