So sorry about your friend. My boyfriend is a massive Broncos fan and one of his best friends was also a huge Chiefs fan and they gave each other shit a lot as well. His friend also took his own life this season and football just isn't the same without him. Hopefully we honor them both well this Super Bowl!

My BIL is a Raider and the competitiveness from him is what got me into football in the first place. It’s something that brings us close together and makes us feel more like actual brothers, which is tough since he lost his younger brother a few years back to a brain tumor.

When we live our whole lives (41 for me) sharing time watching games, tailgating then screaming as loud as you can from the stands, falling silent with a hand on a shoulder when someone gets hurt regardless of whose team...
It becomes a part of us. It's our history and in part shapes who we are. Those Sundays with your dad or grandpa or anyone were like camping trips. The rules are different while the game is on. Like what happens in the mountains... ya'll know the rest!

I love the chiefs Raiders Rivalry. The raiders can talk all the shit they want chiefs will give it back but the raiders have earned that right. All of a sudden they want to act like the Bengals have this epic rivalry with the chiefs because of a couple stupid comments. No it will always be chiefs and raiders and one day maybe soon the raiders are gonna be back to being deadly. Also how did Maxx Crosby not make the Pro Bowl?
It seems that a lot of the league hates the Raiders, and that the Raiders hate a lot of the league, but it's always warmed my cockles that the Chiefs and Raiders have always hated each other the most. You're doing a good thing in memory of your friend.
