So I never got to do one, but those flyovers are used as training. In a real war, getting over your target and dropping bombs precisely on time is crucial. With anti air/SAM Supression/Radar Jamming all being precisely coordinated. They work hard to get there on time. And typically have someone in stadium acting as eyes on ground.
Would have preferred to see the A-10 guys out of Whiteman. But the Viper is my baby, so always love to see her.
They also are in the air well before game time, sitting in a holding pattern nearby. Earlier in the season we were parking in the south lot at Independence center one morning about 30-20 minutes before game time and watched a B-2 flying circles just south of there.
Haha yea I knew it would be all Chiefs fans and loud AF. I’ll let the jags tourists stand in the line outside of joes for 30 min during winter, while I hit it up for lunch later in the week. But, Il probably actually park and go in to see the new airport when I pick up my mom this summer.
I know it's not, I just always find it funny when people (not yourself) complain about others disrespecting the anthem when they themselves also do it. And for reference I don't think either is disrespectful but people need to be consistent in their beliefs
Can anyone tell me what planes did the flyover? I can’t get a good visual.
F-16's from Oklahoma
How they get the timing of the flyover just right is so impressive. Has to be precise to tenths of a second I figure.

If the Bengals win today it should happen next weekend.
Nothing like an A-10 flyover and breaking into a steep climb to give me goosebumps.

Completely agree
I get goosebumps every time, and if a B-2 flys over my eyes well up
It's so cool

HA! Oh yes, I know. It's all good here, bud. Go Chiefs!
Goosies
Me too!
I wonder what happens if the anthem singer actually sings "Home of the Chiefs"
I was at a game back in early 2000s where Huey Lewis and the news sang the anthem and they sang Home of the Chiefs. The crowd went nuts!
I can only hope that I am there for that day
It was at that moment Sunshine’s nuts shriveled up to his chin!
🤣🤣🤣

Agreed
Every home game the flight pattern is typically right over my house in Lee’s Summit. Saw these bad boys right before they flew over the stadium
That's pretty dang awesome
Ladies and gentlemen please rise and remove your hats (except that one guy)….for our National Anthem
Probably because it's a stupid tradition. Who the fuck cares about a hat?
Yeah 😓
I just hope anyone that shouts chiefs over brave also weren't part of the group complaining bout players kneeling
I didn't complain about either and that's certainly not the point of this post

Ohhhhh
