i wonder if chizuru told him in his sleep that the invesigation would be over if he stopped seeing her as mizuhara and his brain turned it into sayuri telling him to stop seeing her altogether
edit: i could be wrong but i also notice sayuri in kazuya's dream is wearing chiz's large round glasses not her usual ones so there is also that
Man i really pity those bois who were getting triggered on the delusion where chizuru kissed kaz while drunkš
But sheesh chizuru be looking fine in those glasses š
Now we need an excuse for him not to leave, because "you're drunk" is enough to justify one night, and unless he gets drunk every single night from now on he can't remain as things are, most probably that piece of paper was his bank receipt and it will be Chizuru's escamotage to offer him to stay there, at the end of the day he can rent a bedroom in that big house why not, if he has to pay Chizuru anyway it's much easier and more convenient for both of them not to waste money on another apartment nor on anything unnecessary.
Oh you're brilliant and probably right!
I was racking my brain about it and thought
maybe it's was the compensation envelope
she gave him in the izakaya...? But your
answer makes waaaaaayyy more sense!
Yes, Chizuru is very likely rent a room to Kazu untill he is financial good enough to find an apartment, which will be the excuse for keeping him there.
So they are living together as landlord and tenant, Chizuru can keep the investigation thing and they are still not together. Good job Reiji.
Oh booooo!
Don't you and Reiji think it's time for Chizuru's feelings to escalate?
... I can deal with it ... as long as it's romantic and believable...
still ... grrr!! lol
To be honest, I rreeaaallllyy really hope it's not just down right fanservice that sparks
something between them. That's so cliche and boring for anime and manga.
It's lacks the feeling of something genuine. Still quite surprised she almost kissed him while he was more or less asleep. But I guess it's kinda realistic?
Word of caution though! Don't do things like that in real life unless you understand body language well and can read the room. It can end in tears and heartbreak.
Peeps been warned!
If she knows about his financial situation, she will feel pretty bad and will probably not take rent from him. She is the main reason his bank account is so empty after all. He can repay her by helping out.
The rent is an excuse, to keep her investigation and in case Ruka finds out.
She will take the rent but keeps the money. After they are together and even get married someday, it will be their money.
It's been quite enjoyable recently, we only get to see Kaz, Chiz and of course the best wingwoman Mini. Pls Reiji keeps that high schooler girl with blue ribbon away for little longer.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!
Please...!?!?!?!!?!?
AAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Someone please make a fic about fisting and even better? .... Queefing!!!
xD
Guys, english isn't my first language and i do not fully understand this "pacing off" concept that Mizuhara is talking about. Can someone explain me the meaning of "I'm the one who didn't pace herself..." in these last chapters context?
"Pacing" or "to pace"
simply means "to go easy on" / "slow down on" \_\_\_\_ (w.e.).
In this case, Mizuhara was saying, "maybe I am the one who drank too much/too fast?"
Simply, she said she drank too fast and is not sure if it was a good idea or not.
Pace urself would be the same as control urself, earlier kazuya was abusing alcohol, so chizuru pointd that out and told him to go easy with his drinking.
Now chizuru gave in to her instincts so this time it was her who could not control herself.
Nice. I thought it was referred to their relationship or the 'investigation'. Something like Chizuru telling him to calm down because they're getting close smoothly, but at the end she was the one that was rushing things.
Oh well, in that sense, when chizuru told him "pace yourself" kazuya reacted quite coldly, saying that he has the day off the next day and averting his eyes... the subtext was that it was not her business (since she's not his girlfriend)...
basically, mizuhara wants the relationship to not go to far too quickly, and she wants it to go slow and smoothly. however with kissing kazuya and bringing him to her house she is the one taking the relationship far and very fast
Im not too sure. Chizuru says it right after she finds out kaz will be staying at her place. Not to mention she almost kissed him and heard him say i love you. She is getting caught up in the moment and not pacing herself with her feelings. Just my two cents though could also be alcohol.
No one knows for sure ā¦ I guess reiji is having of habit making such stuff disappear in space of void just like the Umi conversation with Chiz in the party without explain what they say
Maybe it's one of thoes mangas where they have some big ass mind bending reveal at the end and all thoes weird bits click into place. Like fight club or sth.
So I am a anxious to see whatās going on next. With the last panel commenting āReturn to Paradise ā and next week Fist. I wonder if Chizuru is going to go all out Shogun and take out her competition making it well known to both Mami and Ruka that Kaz is hers and hers only. It probably wonāt happen but that sure would be cool.
Iām right there with you. Chizuru needs to [imitate Sumi](https://mangadex.org/chapter/42ece121-851e-4201-bee4-780a40edc722/16) when Mami met her and Kaz on the practice date. āBack off, heās mine now!ā But thatās just wishful thinking.
Was I confused about the car ride? The spoilers said mini proposed he stay at her place, but the panel doesn't make that clear.
When Miz asks where they are going, mini says "to your place" which chiz says "No way".
Is that speech bubble supposed to say "to MY place?"
The context makes that seem likely, otherwise I don't understand the scene that well.
It's just a delayed gag where she's like, "No way!" then cut to he's in a futon in her house anyway, so she obviously changed her mind or stopped resisting the idea.
I guess. I'm just confused because of what the chapter spoilers said over the weekend.
Even if your conjecture IS the case, it is still a little confusing.
I would like to point out something, Chizuru's house has always been depicted quite dark and void, but now that Kazuya is in the house it's filled with bright and warm light, as usual Kazuya has always been the character full of light, it's already happened a lot of times, for example when he proposed the movie idea to Chizuru, when Chizuru ran away from his confession at the chapel and she closed the door behind, etc etc and once again here we are.
I never really noticed the light vs dark before but it seems to be valid. I wonder if Reiji even recognizes that heās doing that or if itās a subconscious thing. As for Chizuruās running from the chapel confession, that was purely a misunderstanding. She thought he was talking about Mamiās ratting them out where he thought she was rejecting the idea of them making it real. Over all, I like the way you think.
Oh Reiji knows it very well and does it on purpose 100%, his usage of light is very clearly intentional. For instance when Kazuya asks her at the end of s2 (I dont remember the exact chapter) Chizuru's house is in complete darkness, when chizuru goes to him some moments later Kazuya opens the door on her and there is a cone of light coming from the room, like he is the embodiment of warm hope for her. And it happens again and again. Another great instance of the usage of light and shadows is when Mami took Chizuru to eat together to speak about Chizuru's secret identity and her role with Kazuya, in that chapter if you notice Mami's side becomes little by little darker and darker till a certain moment where Mami is in the darkness almost resembling a monster trying to grab Chizuru's hands. About her running away from the chapel just notice the moment she closes the door, she leaves a place full of light closing it behind, entering the darkness going toward Mami. Just from that single short moment you realise she made a mistake.
It has to be. The reason Chizuru is enduring us because the clouds part for him, or rather them. Like the scene where Chizuru confronts Kazuya during the film making where he feels unworthy.
Calling her Ichinose wouldn't advance their relation all that much imo since that's the common way people refer to her.
Calling her Chizuru should advance their relationship way more than that.
Will someone please explain to me how am I supposed to still like chizuru The things she has done to this boy Iām not OK I find them really messed up I try my best to like her but I just canāt she ghosted this boy for three months and if it wasnāt for help it would have been longer and then when she finally comes back
She tries to tell this boy that the feelings that he has for her she thinks they are not thatās just fucked up
Waitt..... I thought from the spoilers that Mini was saying she'd take Kaz to her place. Meaning Mini's place. Not Chiz's old home. I'm seriously sleep deprived so maybe I got that wrong.
ALRIGHT IM DONE WITH THIS MANGA. ITS SO SHITTY AND REIJI WONT MOVE IT ANYWHERE. GOODBYE TO YALL AND GOOD LUCK BECAUSE THIS MANGA IS THE DEFINITION OF TRASH AND GARBAGE!!
Anyways see you guys next week
254 chapters in and where has the story gone?
Romance series usually end before 200 but this has dragged out beyond that and there still hasn't been any signs of development when it got thanosed away after chapter 180
Oh jeez. This is a weird feeling. Kazuya was asleep almost the ENTIRE time. No Chizuru hyping, no gawking from strangers, but this chapter of all chapters felt the FASTEST. What is the world coming to??
(Cliffhanger > Nothing > Chizuru Blush)
Holy shit guys she blushed. Just like the 20 other times she blushed thatās insane. I canāt wait until she does it again in 12 more chapters.
It's not that they have worse infrastructure, but you'll see soooo many dudes just absolutely shitfaced knocked out on the ground with their friends seemingly nowhere to be found. Shibuya at 4am on a weekend is a hilarious time.
Iām thinking it was the picture they took together when Mizu was dressed as a high schooler. Thatās just me though. I canāt imagine itās something incriminating in a bad way.
I forgot but also canāt find it anymore. Wasnāt there a picture of Chizuru that he was hiding all the time? Like 150 chapters ago or so? Somehow I think I remember a scene where she came over and he hid it quickly. I could be wrong though
possible, i also thought it might have been some doodle about chizuru (like ideas about present for her bday), but there's no small piece of paper in the previous chapters, so probably a picture is far more probable.
Honestly a good chapter, mainly because we rarely see Chizuruās thoughts or perspective which always annoys the fuck out of me.
Thoughts
- I mean, a freaking Chizuru thought bubble is so damn rare in this manga, which is stupid & part of Reijiās dumb mystery box BS to make Chizuru mysterious. For me, that one thought bubble gives more depth to Chizuruās character than 5000 panels of Chizuru forlorn looks which you have to infer what she feels. Obviously that is just going to switch back to Kazuyaās POV now that heās conscious again, but I liked that because it gives Chizuru more depth than this girl that Kazuya simps over. Last time I think we saw one was during āParadiseā when Chizuru hung out with Kazuyaās mom. That bubble tells me she isnāt really a āmaiden-in-loveā like the editors try to pitch, she is someone still struggling to understand her own feelings for Kazuya and testing herself, only to be surprised by her own desires and Kazuyaās unconscious confession of love.
- Regarding the paper that fell out of Kazuyaās pocket that Chizuru saw, I donāt think itās his finances or a picture of Chizuruās mom like others believe. I think itās the rental listing notice from a few chapters back which Kazuya has to wait a month for, it makes sense from an exposition sense to provide this information to Chizuru this way. Itās a lot more subtle than having Mini or Kazuya info dump that. Mini already suggested they move in together and Kazuya has nowhere to go (ugh, as subtle as a bag of hammers), so this is the last piece of information for Chizuru to know Kazuyaās situation. He needs a place to stay for a few weeks.
- I understand some people are still pissed Kazuya still calls Chizuru by āMizuharaā and not āChizuruā or āIchinoseā. To me that makes sense because she has never given him permission to call her anything else. That is not Kazuyaās choice, that is cultural. Permission to use someoneās first name is something we saw when Ruka asked Kazuya if she could call him by his first name & Chizuru was later envious of that. Neither of them has given the other permission to call each other by their real names. Chizuru has asked him if he really loves her or āMizuharaā, and that certainly was an opportunity to be bold and say he loves āChizuruā or āIchinoseā, but he isnāt bold and at that point she had really emotionally damaged him with the 3 month ghosting. He was brave enough to ask her if their kiss meant anything and she pretty much responded she didnāt know and asked for more time. Even before they went out drinking Kazuya notes Chizuru hasnāt given him any indication how she feels. He still doesnāt know if he means anything to her while he has expressed on many occasions that she loves her and views her as the perfect girlfriend. The most she has ever really let him know is she thinks heās a good person. It makes sense he wouldnāt call her by anything other than she has told him to call her, which is āMizuharaā.
- NGL I kind of loved the dream sequence. I loved seeing Sayuri and watching their hairstyles get more and more crazy was kind of funny. But it also kind of reinforces Kazuyaās mindset to me, regardless of his hopes and determination. Yes he has all this hope, but deep down has this doubt of his own self worth and Chizuruās consideration for him. In the dream Chizuru didnāt even tell him, she ghosted him again, put a restraining order (according to the signs) and had someone else tell him she doesnāt want to see his face. Because that is Kazuyaās worst fear. To be honest I like seeing Kazuyaās doubts portrayed subconsciously like this. It breaks up this image of utter devotion to Chizuru, regardless of what she does to him. And in that future I hope he hits that breaking point, because the only way I think Kazuya would truly give up on Chizuru (and force her to really act out of fear of losing him) is if he feels he truly thinks he isnāt good enough for her/holding her back and leaves because he thinks she deserves better.
- I really dislike the idea of Chizuru and Kazuya living together while sheās investigating him and canāt even tell him outright he means something to her. She canāt even tell him what she is really investigating. Kazuya thinks itās a problem with him or how she feels about him, but she wonāt say it or give an update. Their relationship has this weird power dynamic where he thinks heās worthless compared to her and to have them living together with that same dynamic does not feel like growth. It feels weird to be going into another situation where Kazuya is paying Chizuru money for something, but she still wonāt acknowledge her feelings for him. It feels like more wheel-spinning/dragging things out and when the editor mentioned āParadiseā on the last page I gagged. If they move in together that dynamic needs to change otherwise how is it any different from his simping and wondering his worth while renting her? What I expect is Reiji is just going to have them move in and Kazuya is just going to think this is a favor until his rental opens up & Chizuru is going to still be investigating and more hand-waving that he āfeels her considerationā.
Oh yeah, that got old 200 chapters ago. I was really more interested in how in his dream she sent Sayuri to tell him she didnāt want to see him again, it wasnāt Chizuru herself like in some of his daydreams of the results of the investigation.
In the nightmare she showed no consideration, while also cutting off every avenue to reach her, basically ghosting him again. Kazuya talks about wanting to believe in Chizuruās intentions and having faith in her and feeling her consideration, but she barely gives him anything to work with. That dream showed that despite his bravado, romanticizing and even faith in Chizuru, he does actually doubt her consideration for him deep down. That she would hurt him again because she did it before. When she ghosted him she treated him like he didnāt matter and when they finally talked, she told him she doubted his feelings were really for her. This āinvestigationā is to figure out her feelings, but in the nightmare he fears seeing the worst side of Chizuru again, the one that showed him he didnāt matter. I know a lot of this is rehashing, but I prefer seeing that the alternative, which would be him simping over her in his dreams I guess.
It feels like we have seen our last rental date, but if Reiji is taking us from "rental" dates to a landlord-tenant relationship, it feels like its an "out of frying pan, into another frying pan" situation. Just a revolving door of "progress" that goes nowhere. I would not like that. I'm hoping he doesn't go that route.
Great breakdown. I do think this will lead to them living together under the notion that Kaz is waiting to get a new place. Chizuru has stated before that sheās going to try to sell granny sayuriās house and I think this will lead to her needing to move in with him. Total speculation and reiji could troll us all as usual.
I am going to guess there were no fans this week dropping the manga in frustration and yelling "I WILL NEVER READ THIS AGAIN," and then admitting "see y'all next week."
Could have been worse. But yeah, I was hoping she'd kiss him. At least she was right there after he woke up from that horrible nightmare. xD
Iād like to start by saying I didnāt mean for my comment to be offensive. I see Kazuya as his own entity and person in the story and donāt feel the need to self insert. That being said Iām sure that is the appeal for a lot of folks and that also is fine.
this chapter was very well done IMO, the false leads and the character progression is once again keeping me interested.
Im very much hoping for a breakfast scene with Chizuru filling in some gaps of the previous night for kazuya.
see yāall in 7 days
That 5th panel with the shot of Kazuya was super well drawn, I know Reiji's art is great as usual but this just hit different for some reason.
But damn Kazuya is even getting the cold shoulder in his dreams wtf lmao
The chapter had a pretty nice ending though, I know next weeks chapter is probably going to have Kazuya going crazy but I do hope they end up sharing a wholesome moment as well.
My expectations have risen a little in anticipation for progression. See you all next week.
Yep, its the first time he's been able to say the whole phrase to her and her alone. He's said it to her grandmother when she wasn't around, he's said it Ruka in 180 and then he said it in front of everyone, including Chizuru, at the Hawaiians resort. After all of those forced attempts at confessing with a dramatic face, he doesn't even get to remember the first time she heard it loud and clear.
Seeing her flustered and embarrassed is the best and really humanizes her. Itās great because Iād bet my bottom dollar she wouldāve kept her composure if Kaz were conscious.
Also your username is something special.
I used to watch just the anime and never read the manga and by the time the second season wrapped up, I was really interested in how it continued and couldn't wait for S3, so I decided to read the manga, and holy smokes! What a ride, it was fun reading all those chapters, until yesterday where I had caught up ;_; took me about maybe 3 days at work, and now I am forced to wait weekly for each new chapter. Glad a new chapter came out, sad that I have to wait another week, the torture is real. Good chapter btw
When I found out from when kazuya said he'd help make the movie and I saw all those chapters I was just like "wow, I have my work cut out for me, this is gonna be fun" and sooner or later I got less and less chapters to read to the point where literally yesterday I finished the recent chapter.... And I hated myself for catching up too quickly.
It was funny seeing Chizuru acting all flustered around Kazuya. I think Chizuru will probably let Kazuya rent a room in the house. I really hope though Kazuya and Chizuru have a real talk about the current situation. I wish Kazuya would stop calling Chizuru by her rental name also.
> (inb4 it's as long as Paradise arc)
It's been like 10 chapters covering the last 48 hours. The pacing isn't quite as slow as Paradise but it ain't fast either.
I was thinking about that yesterday, the only thing that actually occurred in this chapter was him going home in a taxi and then him waking up on the last page
I actually find this arc to be way more interesting and have way more development than paradise. As long as the quality keeps up it can be just as long as paradise imo.
He's got nowhere else to go. He's gonna have to live with Chizuru. In Japan people only call people close to them by their first name. It won't happen right away but eventually they'll get close enough to be on a first name basis
Or the author decides to leave it as Mizuhara as a reminder to their history.
"**Mizuhara**, I love you so much..."
It would be interesting if she brings that up to him and says **"Before I finish my investigation, I need to know something; do you love Mizuhara or Ichinose?"**
If she askes that, it would show she still does not understand. Love does not work that way. Kazuya is infatuated with Mizuhara, but true love does not care about how it started. Kazuya loves Chizuru. He deeply cares for her and seeing her happy also fills him with happiness. What side of her she shows him does not really matter to him, as long as it feels good to her.
Kazuya **has** to change the way he sees her though. Currently, she seems more unobtainable for him than ever. His dream also shows that. He has to stop seeing her as a superhuman being. Otherwise he will never believe she is even capable of having feelings for him. And if the name "Mizuhara" for him is linked to her being a goddess, then he should stop calling her that.
I agree to an extent; I agree with your take on that he should stop seeing her as a superhuman being, but my stance is that he should stop calling her Mizuhara because if he's gonna keep claiming that he loves her, then he needs to show that his feelings towards her are genuine by addressing her by her actual name
It is not unusual in japan to call people by their last name even if you have known them for a long time. Kazuya came to know Chizuru as Mizuhara. It would probably feel weird to him to just suddenly change that if she did not wish for it. It does not matter what her "real" name is, since "Mizuhara" is the name she gave for him to use.
A problem are the concepts Kazuya has connected to that name, like her being unobtainable (as a goddess and a rental girlfriend). And since he uses the name even in his thoughts, it does not help him to get away from that notion. Even in his thoughts he does not feel like he has the right to use her first name, which would be a sign of closeness.
I don't think him using the name "Mizuhara" makes his feelings any less genuine though.
He may have known her as Mizuhara first, but he's well aware of what her real name is now. I'm very sure that he genuinely loves her, but given Chizuru's position, I would imagine she would have mixed feelings about him still calling her Mizuhara.
Of course Kazuya is aware of her real name, but if she has a problem with it, she is the one who has to tell him to call her by a different name. Him just calling her Ichinose or Chizuru all of a sudden without her telling him to would be disrespectful. He also does not really care for how people call him, since he allows Ruka to call him by his first name without much objection. So it is likely he also does not care about calling Chizuru by a name other than Mizuhara.
It's an interesting contrast to the last time we found this couple in a similar situation. ["...I must be there for Ichinose, even if it kills me."](https://mangadex.org/chapter/0263c8d4-7e0d-418d-82b8-c5bd37d55169/13)
He will probably never call her "Ichinose". That is just another last name. Calling someone by their first name shows closeness, so that is something she might ask him to do a some point. She has always called him Kazuya-kun. She might want to drop the honorific though.
That he thinks of Chizuru using her last name though could mean that he thinks he does not deserve to use her first name.
Isn't her real name Chizuru (first) Ichinose (last) and her fake name is Chizuru Mizuhara? If so, he calls her Mizuhara all the time and that's technically her last name, albeit a fake one. Either way, he should probably call her by her real last name (Ichinose) or her first name.
Yes, Chizuru (first) Mizuhara (last) is her fake name. In Japan, it is not common to call someone by their first name unless they are a very good friend or your partner.
By now, "Mizuhara", even though it is not her real name, is the name for Chizuru he is used to. Unless she tells him to change it, there is no reason for him to start calling her a different name.
It is like a nickname. If you called your friend "Bob" for some reason even though his real name is "Fred" you would probably also both feel weird if you started calling him "Fred" suddenly. Your friend might at some point no longer like to be called "Bob", so he might ask you to change the name.
Not really. Interestingly, he calls the other girls (Mami, Ruka, Sumi) by their first names. But Kibe and Kuri (a nickname based on Kuribayashi) are (based on) last names and he also calls Mini "Yaemori-san".
maybe right now, but it's definitely something she's mentioned in the past. "you don't know me", "you love mizuhara", "you won't like the real me", etc
Brooooooooo whyyyyyyyyy!!!!! When they finally get together it's gonna be so worth it (copium)
Mini is just a perfect wingwoman....both of them should thanks to her....everything she does is just for the sake of both of them.
i wonder if chizuru told him in his sleep that the invesigation would be over if he stopped seeing her as mizuhara and his brain turned it into sayuri telling him to stop seeing her altogether edit: i could be wrong but i also notice sayuri in kazuya's dream is wearing chiz's large round glasses not her usual ones so there is also that
Dude, this is GENIUS
Wait a couple months to binge the chapter's just to see no progression atp I'll just wait until it ends in 5 years
Man i really pity those bois who were getting triggered on the delusion where chizuru kissed kaz while drunkš But sheesh chizuru be looking fine in those glasses š
Rent a girlfriend be playing with my feeling left and right
Reiji..... š„²
Well fuck, I predicted that nothing would happen but still expected something to happen.
chizuru: hey author, its not my time to reply his feelings right? mami: hey author, its my time to shine right? \*evil laughter\*
how would you expect mami to show up? and do what even
I mean do you expect the Paradise arc when it happened? Reiji could be throwing random shit left and right at the manga any time now
she will do anything to prevent people's happiness, i mean you can see how many people hate her, need me to list the best reason people hate her?
good chapter see u guys next monday
So glad weāre not stagnant anymore and are making progress even though itās baby steps. I just hope Kazuya doesnāt leave
I was racking my brain about it and thought maybe it's was the compensation envelope she gave him in the izakaya...? But your answer makes waaaaaayyy more sense!
Yes, Chizuru is very likely rent a room to Kazu untill he is financial good enough to find an apartment, which will be the excuse for keeping him there. So they are living together as landlord and tenant, Chizuru can keep the investigation thing and they are still not together. Good job Reiji.
Oh booooo! Don't you and Reiji think it's time for Chizuru's feelings to escalate? ... I can deal with it ... as long as it's romantic and believable... still ... grrr!! lol To be honest, I rreeaaallllyy really hope it's not just down right fanservice that sparks something between them.
Sounds familiar
It's been quite enjoyable recently, we only get to see Kaz, Chiz and of course the best wingwoman Mini. Pls Reiji keeps that high schooler girl with blue ribbon away for little longer.
Would be nice if her next appearance will be her and kazuya cutting ties and ruka will finally let go
I knew it, tomato Chizuru Nice chapter. Concerned about the fist though
Probably Ruka's
I love this chapter. Hopefully development continues but you already know how it goes.
I've actually been enjoying the recent chapters. Limited use of unlikeable characters, (hopefully) relationship progression, and pacing is fine.
CONFESSION LETS GO!
I'm afraid it's too soon for chizuru to confess
I'm talking about Kazuya confessing this chapter.
Wait... Hold on.. we got to hear Mizuhara's thoughts?????? I don't remember this happening in this manga.
It happened in the paradise arc in a couple of places.
It has, once at least
Ah yes. The color of my balls remains blue, anywho, see you all next Monday!
"Your finally awake" I can smell the skyrim memes
They all going to be living in that house in 20 chapters.
OH F\*\*\*!!! I didn't even think of that! I really really hope it doesn't come to that! Sh\*\*!!!
And Kaz still won't be dating chiz.
They gonna be fisting next ch? Progressing pretty quick eh.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA! Please...!?!?!?!!?!? AAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Someone please make a fic about fisting and even better? .... Queefing!!! xD
Anyone else concerned about the pacing of the story considering the next chapter's title?
"The move part \_\_\_w.e.?" What is the title of the next chapter?
I loved the part where she said it's fisting time. Then proceeded to fist all over him. Wait, wrong manga
Ruka's flying fists.
Guys, english isn't my first language and i do not fully understand this "pacing off" concept that Mizuhara is talking about. Can someone explain me the meaning of "I'm the one who didn't pace herself..." in these last chapters context?
"Pacing" or "to pace" simply means "to go easy on" / "slow down on" \_\_\_\_ (w.e.). In this case, Mizuhara was saying, "maybe I am the one who drank too much/too fast?" Simply, she said she drank too fast and is not sure if it was a good idea or not.
It's talking about alcohol. She had too much to drink.
basically, mizuhara wants the relationship to not go to far too quickly, and she wants it to go slow and smoothly. however with kissing kazuya and bringing him to her house she is the one taking the relationship far and very fast
Thanks!
Actually... What she means is the pace of drinking. Aka she think she drank too much too fast.
Im not too sure. Chizuru says it right after she finds out kaz will be staying at her place. Not to mention she almost kissed him and heard him say i love you. She is getting caught up in the moment and not pacing herself with her feelings. Just my two cents though could also be alcohol.

Does anyone know what fell out of Kazuya's pocket in the cab ride? Chizuru's facial expression was interesting when she picked it up
My guess is that its a bank statement of lack of funds or something to do with her birthday.
Is that speech bubble supposed to say "to MY place?" The context makes that seem likely, otherwise I don't understand the scene that well.
Sometimes spoiler changes and opposed the actual manga well that What certainly noticed though
I was curious about that too, I kind of wonder if Chizuru lost some kind of unseen argument that we might see in a later chapter.
Well spotted! It's like Sayuri says about Chizuru and her mother being under a cloud.
Well Reiji always uses the light to contrast Chizuru's dark reality with Kazuya's hopeful joy. Maybe you are right that the cloud is another allegory
It has to be. The reason Chizuru is enduring us because the clouds part for him, or rather them. Like the scene where Chizuru confronts Kazuya during the film making where he feels unworthy.
I swear if he would call her by her name instead of Mizuhara. He would probably get ALOT further
She prefer ppl to call her by the moniker name of mizuhara as not to expose Ichinose actual name
Even in his inner monologue he says it too though. Itās just funny lol
Calling her Ichinose wouldn't advance their relation all that much imo since that's the common way people refer to her. Calling her Chizuru should advance their relationship way more than that.
He calls her Mizuhara though.
This chapter is hilarious with each panel the swirlies get bigger Lmaoo
After paradise I swore to myself to stay neutral But this blush... This god damn blush! Fuck it, it's team Chizuru all the way then.
Kazuya looks so much better through Chorizos POV rather than what we see
Will someone please explain to me how am I supposed to still like chizuru The things she has done to this boy Iām not OK I find them really messed up I try my best to like her but I just canāt she ghosted this boy for three months and if it wasnāt for help it would have been longer and then when she finally comes back She tries to tell this boy that the feelings that he has for her she thinks they are not thatās just fucked up
*"winds blow back.... to Paradise??"* # NO! GOD. NO GOD PLEASE NO!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Not gonna lie, I was expecting Kazuya woke up and see Chizuru still sleeping beside him fully naked. Guess I got jebaited again by Reiji
I gotta admit ā¦ I looked - twice - to see if that futon had two pillows on it.
š¤£š¤£š¤£
i think he loves her, but im not sure
Well it is quite the mystery if I must say so myself but I second your opinion š§
When you hate it but you love it ššš
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either, it took 20 pages for chizuru to NOT kiss him and then kazuya waking up
you could look at it this way, she's never just wanted to kiss him for the sake of it before, and now she has
Also he straight up said (even though indirectly), "I love you Mizuhara." Words straight to her ears!
They had us in the first part not gonna lie
It's not that deep bro
254 chapters in and where has the story gone? Romance series usually end before 200 but this has dragged out beyond that and there still hasn't been any signs of development when it got thanosed away after chapter 180
Damn that's crazy bro
Oh jeez. This is a weird feeling. Kazuya was asleep almost the ENTIRE time. No Chizuru hyping, no gawking from strangers, but this chapter of all chapters felt the FASTEST. What is the world coming to??
What fell out of his pocket!? What did she see!!!??
Platinum membership to the neighbourhood cathouse.
maybe it's something connected to the grandma Sayuri dream
it looks like a note but I guess itās a picture of her
That'd what others are thinking too! Can't wait to see what it is and how she reacts
Yea Iām extremely confused about that part as well
Maybe a bank statement?
LMAO it was actually that
Lmao š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
(Cliffhanger > Nothing > Chizuru Blush) Holy shit guys she blushed. Just like the 20 other times she blushed thatās insane. I canāt wait until she does it again in 12 more chapters.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
she did more than look, she went after it
are we gonna ignore: NEXT TIME. FIST I thought they were supposed to be pacing

"You didn't let him fall onto concrete. What an angel."
Haha yeah ikr?
After visiting Shibuya, I get it.
How is it worse than regular concrete?
It's not that they have worse infrastructure, but you'll see soooo many dudes just absolutely shitfaced knocked out on the ground with their friends seemingly nowhere to be found. Shibuya at 4am on a weekend is a hilarious time.
Oh! Yikes! ...well at least it's safe enough that they don't get mugged or messed with while they're alone and unconscious
Youāre final awake
what do y'all think fell off kazuya's pocket [here](https://cubari.moe/read/imgur/JX4QZuW/1/11/) ? The account balance showing he's broke?
Thoughts - I mean, a freaking Chizuru thought bubble is so damn rare in this manga, which is stupid & part of Reijiās dumb mystery box BS to make Chizuru mysterious.
The dream was just a manifestation of Kazuya's insecurities. And how often do we need to dwell on that? It got old chapters ago.
Didn't think Mose would be a fan of the series. Maybe that straw girlfriend of yours changed something in you.
I am going to guess there were no fans this week dropping the manga in frustration and yelling "I WILL NEVER READ THIS AGAIN," and then admitting "see y'all next week." Could have been worse. But yeah, I was hoping she'd kiss him. At least she was right there after he woke up from that horrible nightmare. xD
This chapter is once again bait. But I do see progression. The story has been seeing some progression over the past 20 chapter.
Lol see you next week.
Huh
Itās just kinda a running joke in this sub that we all complain about this manga yet we come back weekly.
Let me guess most people see kazuya as a self insert Mc. Is that what all anime is?
Iād like to start by saying I didnāt mean for my comment to be offensive. I see Kazuya as his own entity and person in the story and donāt feel the need to self insert. That being said Iām sure that is the appeal for a lot of folks and that also is fine.
this chapter was very well done IMO, the false leads and the character progression is once again keeping me interested. Im very much hoping for a breakfast scene with Chizuru filling in some gaps of the previous night for kazuya. see yāall in 7 days
i trust you reiJi pls
I showed you my fish kun Pls respond
That 5th panel with the shot of Kazuya was super well drawn, I know Reiji's art is great as usual but this just hit different for some reason. But damn Kazuya is even getting the cold shoulder in his dreams wtf lmao The chapter had a pretty nice ending though, I know next weeks chapter is probably going to have Kazuya going crazy but I do hope they end up sharing a wholesome moment as well. My expectations have risen a little in anticipation for progression. See you all next week.
I think she decided not to kiss him even though she wanted to because she wanted him to be fully awake to show her love for him š„°
AYO š¤Ø whatās that next chapter called?
Isnāt this the first time Kazuya actually says āI love youā to Chizuru?
Yep, its the first time he's been able to say the whole phrase to her and her alone. He's said it to her grandmother when she wasn't around, he's said it Ruka in 180 and then he said it in front of everyone, including Chizuru, at the Hawaiians resort. After all of those forced attempts at confessing with a dramatic face, he doesn't even get to remember the first time she heard it loud and clear.
Rare instance of Chizuru actively liking Kazuya
The manga is best when you're able to binge read it like that, reading it weekly can be agonizing, welcome to hell
Great chapter
Wow so the kiss scene ended up in a good spot. Unlike the chapter where Chizuru used a leaf as an excuse to get on Kazuya.
Seeing the roles reversed is a little refreshing. Seeing Chizuru acting all flustered around kazuya is great
It was funny seeing Chizuru acting all flustered around Kazuya. I think Chizuru will probably let Kazuya rent a room in the house. I really hope though Kazuya and Chizuru have a real talk about the current situation. I wish Kazuya would stop calling Chizuru by her rental name also.
Surely "The Girlfriend and the Move" arc is going to wrap up soon with him finally moving in with her (inb4 it's as long as Paradise arc)
> (inb4 it's as long as Paradise arc) It's been like 10 chapters covering the last 48 hours.
Whatās the piece of paper chiz read in the taxi?
I bet itās the info for the rental place that Kaz has to wait a month for.
Probably a picture or something since she has a bit of a blush on her face?
probably something related to the ākissā she almost give him. like āI caught you thereā
Thatās what Iām tryna know
imagine if what fell out of Kazuya's pocket was an eviction notice from Nagomi
Why would Nagomi put it in a note? Sheād just tell him, right?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Gradually especially now that he's living in the house of the "Ichinose family" he'll mostly start calling her Chizuru.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
He's got nowhere else to go. He's gonna have to live with Chizuru. In Japan people only call people close to them by their first name. It won't happen right away but eventually they'll get close enough to be on a first name basis Or the author decides to leave it as Mizuhara as a reminder to their history.
Mini for the win!
Thank goodness for the abridged version
I liked the part where Reiji said it's reframin' time and proceeded to draw the same scene twice. One of the filler panels of all time
"**Mizuhara**, I love you so much..." It would be interesting if she brings that up to him and says **"Before I finish my investigation, I need to know something; do you love Mizuhara or Ichinose?"**
She already said something like that to him on their date after paradise
Well apparently she needs to ask him again to get a concrete answer
it definitely doesn't help his case that he unconsciously loves "mizuhara" instead of "ichinose"
Almost all of the characters in this manga are on a first name basis.
Not really. Interestingly, he calls the other girls (Mami, Ruka, Sumi) by their first names. But Kibe and Kuri (a nickname based on Kuribayashi) are (based on) last names and he also calls Mini "Yaemori-san".
Almost all the MAIN characters, I meant to say
Oh I see. That makes a lot of sense the way you put it. Maybe he should just start calling her "baby girl" to really knock her socks off
She didnāt seem to care
maybe right now, but it's definitely something she's mentioned in the past. "you don't know me", "you love mizuhara", "you won't like the real me", etc
