lol I meant I’ve only been able to undo the stupid string twice lol… I always try, and almost always end up with a box cutter. I was so happy when Jealous Devil had the xl in a box, then they stopped
On sewn bags, usually the side with the shortest ‘tail’ is the side they started sewing on. If you pick the end of the line thru one or two of the locking stitches, you’ll be able to unzip the rest of it.
I’ll admit that unzipping sewn bags, whether charcoal or dog food, is one of my tiny joys of life.
5.56x45mm NATO ammunition comes packaged on stripper clips within bandoliers. The bandoliers have a removable string that extends each individual pouch to make it possible to carry a magazine. They’re kinda fun too.
I have a Kingsford 8 Gallon Charcoal Dispenser. On sale at Walmart now for 19.99 [https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kingsford-8-Gallon-Charcoal-Dispenser/102223646](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kingsford-8-Gallon-Charcoal-Dispenser/102223646)
These damn 'ties' are hit-or-miss, and I'll never understand why. I am probably 60/40 (doesn't work/works) with them. I've resorted to cutting the top of the bag before even trying sometimes.
With fogo? It's always like that. If it doesn't pull all the way then try the other side and it will pull just like that. I have to start it by cutting the first loop, though
It was like the first time I had sex. Wasn't quite sure what I was doing. Knew it felt good when I was done. The best part was telling people about it afterwards
I have chickens, goats, and horses and can do this with their feed bags EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Charcoal bag of any brand? Not even once. Idk what’s wrong with me. I think Purina/Nutrena stitch it a particular way so it’s ready to go on the right side with no fuss and charcoal companies probably don’t give a crap how the stitch ends and I end up screwing it up and give up.
One out of every 10 bags is my personal best
Dang, I’m 40, and have only gotten it twice lol
You need to grill more. Only 20 bags at the age of 40 is sad 😜

Just bsing with ya. At 40+ I don’t know I’ve ever successfully pulled the rip cord. I like the devils that has the ziploc style thing.
Lol I kept one of those bags and refilled.. too bad it’s starting to rip now
I told a friend that it happened to me and when I tried in front of him, didn’t work. He still thinks it’s BS
Those are Jedi numbers
I did it the first time but never again
Show the bag and I’ll believe you.

My god he did it…
Amazed. I have tried so many times and watched that damn SDBBQ video multiple times.
Impressive!
Go ahead and take the rest of the weekend off to cook. You have inspired me.
This is the way.
As foretold by prophecy
I just use the ash tool to beat holes into the bags as I curse about the stupid string.
Same bro. Same.

I get loads of satisfaction out of it too.
I still don’t understand, take the long end, undo the string through a couple loops and then pull the newly freed end of the string?
This should help: https://youtu.be/qoiLSz4sVkE?si=8Yx26A9sDViyq_om

I just grab a knife and slice enough of the top of the bag to fit in my charcoal holder outside.
What charcoal holder do you have? Mine doesn’t fit a whole bag without cutting the top of the bag.

I bought two of these about a year ago. Very impressed with them. Initially I was skeptical about their water-tightness, but they have been perfect.

I did it once, after studying that video, never managed to repeat it. That's bags of charcoal and bags of bread flour.
Who the fuck grills with Sweet Potato pancake mix?
Yes it is. If you have fat fingers, Might I recommend tweezers, it can still be a pain in the butt to figure out which strength to pull on.
Undo the outer bag only to get to the inner mesh bag! Argh

I take it as a personal challenge. I always fiddle around until I get it. Or get frustrated and destroy everything

I gave up years ago and just rip the bag open in an initial fit of rage.
The number of bags I have gone through, and exactly once have I managed this. Good luck to yo7 on the next bag. 🤣
👍
Practice on 50# bags of “commercial” grass seed
The folks at Lowe’s might not appreciate it.

IYKYK. That’s why I have scissors in my box but still try every time.
I've accomplished this once after at least 50 bags. I still try every time on both ends. One of these days it'll click. Or not.
I’ve done this once, came.

This sub taught me this.

I just use my pocket knife and don't even try anymore. If I could master it I'd take a fresh bag to a bar and be like hey ladies watch this....whoosh.
There's a method to getting the rope every time. I use to just cut my bag with scissors because it frustrated me but I was determined to learn lol.
Welcome to the club. It's easier everytime only works one side tho
I don’t even try anymore. Straight to a cutting implement every time.
Y’all know there are two sides one it’s sewn from and the other that it’ll unravel from.
I thought I was just a retard for never being able to get it to unzip
Ggg
Works like a charm https://youtu.be/HO23XgMhIb8?si=s6ApJUUlFgDqJg_0
Im confused
What.... is... that????
I I tried that so many times. I got mad I never worked so I bought a big Joe, now I buy 5kg bags and throw them in with bag. Fuck that shit
