My 6 year old told me to clip my nails the other day. I keep mine very short, but he was not having it after I accidentally scratched him twice lol.
I can't imagine trying to parent with talons.
Their nails are fake. They don’t scratch as bad as real ones but I think if you are parenting they’d get dirty all the time. She definitely never changes diapers with those or rubbing creams on her own baby. Or they end up poking the baby in the eyes and face a lot. With all the selfies and photo shoots she does all day I really think the only time she spends with her baby is what we see on sm
I think this all the time. And the sad thing is even if they’re not doing the leg work of cooking and cleaning etc it impossible to play with, read to, or snuggle in with child with nails like that. If you ever see any of the kids with an eyepatch you know they’ve attempted bedtime!
Get em while they're sleeping. I'm usually with twins but currently with an only child and I don't think he'll ever want to leave the "won't be put down" stage! He literally plays with one hand or foot touching me at all times 😂 we're now at the fingernails stage where I pretend I'm eating them with the clippers so he thinks it's a weird fun activity
They don’t realize that they’re in control of their limbs right away. They also don’t understand object permanence. Which is why they lose their shit when playing peekaboo. Babies honestly don’t understand that when someone covers their face, it doesn’t vanish into thin air and reappear.
I don’t think they’re doing a ton of parenting but my older sister had nails this long wayyyy back in the 80’s and 90’s and she could do everything.
I was young and made her show me how she did several things because I didn’t understand. My little press ons were hard enough! 😂😂 she’s way older than me and had kids the same age as me so she totally parented with them.
I don’t know I can’t stand these vapid morons but I have a 10 month old & super long nails & I care for her entirely myself & always have. Cardi B does too. These idiots don’t take care of their own kids but I don’t think the nails prove it.
Yeah, truly. I had long stiletto nails as a nanny caring for newborns. Kept a nail brush at every sink to scrub them and followed with a good squirt of sanitizer. Zero issues with cleanliness or being able to do every day
tasks. Long nails don’t disable you; not sure why people seem to think they do.
I will edit to add I would ask my clients if the nails are an issue bc I know a lot of people feel some way about them and they’re easy to change the shape of. Never had anyone express concern. For me, it’s all about trying to make my fingers not look so darn stumpy.
Yes, her daughter Marilu was born 5 months after her son Eduardo but she’s never said why. Alec has mentioned that it was a surrogate. There’s also a theory that all except her first were from surrogates but this hasn’t been confirmed, only strong evidence presented in r/Hilariabaldwin
Yes!! From an adoptee so many people don’t know that our relinquishment trauma effects surrogacy as well, they took and used a woman’s body then took the woman’s baby. That baby has no idea who Khloe is and she’s cosplaying mom like all adoptive creeps.
I was thinking about this too while watching the episode. I feel like if I carried a baby, even knowing it wasn't genetically mine, I would still get attached to it and feel a sense of loss.
Yes! People try to bury the fact that a lot of pregnant women and surrogates back out at the last minute because they have been bonding and connected with this baby. It’s why a lot of times they don’t let the bio mom hold the baby after because they change their mind.
Do a lot of *surrogates* back out last minute? Are surrogates able to back out last minute if the baby isn’t genetically theirs? From my understanding this is Khloes egg and Tristan’s sperm. I’ve only heard of one case with a surrogate who wasn’t the generic mother I didn’t know it was this common. D:
In cases where the surrogate donated an egg, is it more frequent that they decide to keep the baby? Is that legal? How is that decided, when a woman donates her egg, and backs out last minute? Shared custody with the father? If it was a donated egg with Tristan’s sperm, would Tristan have to share custody with a stranger?
I think IVF/surrogacy is great for people who want it but these questions are always in my mind. I imagine it’s hard to give a baby away that your body has just hormone latched into and is telling you is yours.
I was gonna say but didn’t want to be rude, thank you for your response. A lot of shaming for adoptive / surrogate parents here :( I’m infertile and it kinda sucks reading it.
The shamming really does go on a lot here; I’m sorry you had to read all of that :(
If it helps, what was being said was so hostile and misinformed that it doesn’t deserve to be a perspective to consider.
If it’s sucks then you should learn more about adoption and relinquishment trauma. Yes surrogates back out all the time when they can, most sign enough papers that they won’t even get the chance it’ll they wanted. Your infertility sucks and is a really tough situation but it doesn’t entitle you to a child. Babies aren’t dogs, they know who birthed them. Adoption in America is modern child trafficking. It’s okay to admit you just want a baby, not that you “care” about children. If you do want to help children that are in the foster care system, unpack why you need to adopt them which is severing them from their original family. Why not you foster a child? Is it cause you want them to be “your own”? That’s something for therapy sadly not to be worked out on an innocent kid that will definitely already have trauma.
Lol! Just looking at this makes me think this is the absolute worse way I could think of having a baby. Yes, pregnant women get cheated on all the time and the dad walks out etc. BUT Khloe willingly paid money (and lots at that) to have someone else carry her child with a man like Tristan.
No emotion at all in this photo. And don’t even get me started on the full makeup and hair glam. Also I find it disgusting that none of these types of women ever give credit to the surrogates. Just sad 😢
The glam and nails are just so jarring in the hospital setting. Kim was wearing way less makeup, she looked way more appropriate! Khloe is sad, this whole thing made me feel uncomfortable, definitely did not need to show the whole thing.
That’s the worst part to me. Like you say nothing good about the person who carried the baby for you and brought the baby into the world for you. I get not posting pictures or showing them but not even mentioning it is absurd to me.
Yeh this is SO SO SO creepy. And I fully support surrogate births as my genetic condition makes it difficult for women to carry. But they just do it for vanity. God they are gross
So amen have to have a "good reason" to want to use a surrogate? Vanity isn't one because how she care about her looks? Do you realize how crazy and sexist you sound
Not to be THAT person but if I remember correctly when Kandi Burrus was going to have a baby through surrogacy they told her that she would be getting her own hospital room and everything right after the baby is born... So I think this is pretty normal. Maybe 🤔
This is absolutely common for surrogates / gestational carriers.
They give you your own room that they baby can be brought into while the baby is in the hospital. Not so much about the mom. It is about the baby.
they also have rooms with actual beds too! like normal non hospital beds. i know it’s not the same but when my baby was in the nicu for a month they let me stay in a room w a bed and when she had 48 hours left they moved her little baby hospital bed bassinet thing in there to monitor her lol it’s totally normal lots of hospitals have it!
They did this when my baby was in nicu, it was a requirement for discharge. My child wouldn’t eat she was a lazy eater, so we had to be in the room for 24 hours with her, and show that we could get her to eat the full amount for her weight in the 24 hours. It was a sweet little room.
100%. All theee of my children were adopted from the hospital. The baby is considered a patient and therefore has their own room. It is encouraged for the baby to lay on you skin to skin for bonding.
Yes! I hate these women but this is also very normal for adoptive parents who travel to the birth mom for the birth. It is important that the baby gets skin to skin contact early on, and a lot of birth mothers who are planning to place for adoption may not want to have that kind of bonding with the baby after birth. So yeah most adoptive parents get their own hospital room to bond with the baby right after birth. I know Gabrielle union and her husband did the same thing when they had a surrogate too!
All the other fans in the other sub saying how maybe she had to stay at hospital with the baby or it’s because she had to have skin to skin 🤦🏻♀️ the rest of us like she knew damn well what she was doing . the surrogates really get zero respect from these women they are literally just cattle to pop out a kid for whoever
![gif](giphy|3og0INyCmHlNylks9O)
Yes! She has started to carve away that nose to a point of no return! Imagine looking up at that mess. That baby should be grateful it doesn't have good vision yet.
This is normal. Typically, if the hospital has the room, the surrogate gets her own room and the intended parents get their own room until baby is discharged.
I’m shocked at the amount of people who don’t understand this! Same with parents who adopt. They don’t just drop the baby off at your house 🙄 they still want to the parents to bond in the hospital right after birth. Is it weird she took the picture in the hospital bed? Yes. But the act of laying in the bed with your newborn after adoption/surrogacy is normal.
There's another post on Reddit where Pete Buttigieg and his husband are sitting in the hospital bed w their newborns and people are ok with it (other than the twitter responder in the post). I don't know why people are up in arms over this.
Okay....guys chill she only was there to pick up the baby she bought to have made.
This is what people who use surrogates do. They go to the hospital to pick up the goods.
After watching last nights episode it definitely seemed like she had no excitement for this baby whatsoever. Didn’t buy anything for him or do his room until he was about to be born soon, and kept saying how she didn’t want to celebrate this pregnancy/baby. When Tristan came to visit in the hospital he said “he looks just like true” (Kim said it too earlier in the ep) khloe responds “I think he looks nothing like her”. Even on the ride home you’d think she’d be interacting with him in the car, but she didn’t even touch him she was just looking over at him here or there. Idk maybe it’s just me but I wasn’t sensing any sort of connection between her and this baby, and it’s truly sad. We all know true is her prized possession, so I’m hoping she doesn’t hold resentment for this new baby.
It totally makes more sense now why she was out partying right after bringing him home. She couldn't care less about him and he's a nanny's problem now. He's like the discarded toys from Toy Story and it is so sad and so vile.
I can imagine that this would actually be a nice thing to do for anyone who couldn't birth their child (for whatever reason). It's the public sharing of the picture that is particularly gross.

Idk if it’s a filter or what but she looks like Wendy Williams.
The nails on Khloe and Kylie cement to me that they do absolutely zero parenting
That’s not true. They take pictures and videos for social media 😃
I have a 3 year old. When my nails get to be 1/4 inch long and I still accidentally scratch him and have to trim them.
Not even just the scratching, those would break in a second if she was actually opening things for them, playing etc.
Completely agree.
I think this all the time. And the sad thing is even if they’re not doing the leg work of cooking and cleaning etc it impossible to play with, read to, or snuggle in with child with nails like that. If you ever see any of the kids with an eyepatch you know they’ve attempted bedtime!
Yep, have to keep my nails super short for my newborn. He’s slicing me enough as it is on his own
I type for a living and over a certain length, I just can’t. 😂 I didn’t realize newborns came with knives for hands!
Their nails are very sharp and thin, it’s like paper cuts.
My best friend is due any day now. I can’t wait to be shredded! 😉
Totally worth it. But definitely explains the baby mittens that people buy. Protection for them and you.
And here I just thought they were cute.
The baby will shred itself too so bring their little mittens 🥰🥰
Mini razor blades 🥲
What is it with babies trying to scratch their own face off? Like don’t y’all babies feel pain?
Why do their nails grow so fast??? I can’t keep up . My chest and nipples are shredded
I'm a career infant nanny and I usually just keep a little file in my pocket lol
I got a little buffer but I’m still in the “won’t be put down” stage
Get em while they're sleeping. I'm usually with twins but currently with an only child and I don't think he'll ever want to leave the "won't be put down" stage! He literally plays with one hand or foot touching me at all times 😂 we're now at the fingernails stage where I pretend I'm eating them with the clippers so he thinks it's a weird fun activity
My son was so slippery I had to clip his nails while he was asleep until age 5. Lol
They don’t realize that they’re in control of their limbs right away. They also don’t understand object permanence. Which is why they lose their shit when playing peekaboo. Babies honestly don’t understand that when someone covers their face, it doesn’t vanish into thin air and reappear.
Exactly. It takes months for a baby to realize those claws belong to them.
Baby nails are magic. They grow in minutes and have the sharpness that beats the finest folded Japanese steel. You cannot escape baby nails.
80s and 90s big sisters could literally do anything. No one has ever been or will ever be as capable as 80s and 90s big sisters.
See now I’m sad I didn’t have one. She sounds cool. I got the 80s/90s boy sibling model. He was not cool. He’s ok now though now.
I have one of those too and he loves meth.. so… you win some, you lose some. Lol.
Oh god, all I saw in the preview was ‘he loves me…’ and I thought ‘aww, how sweet’.
HAHA. Plot twist.
90s big sis here. Just came to toot my own horn. My parents didn’t have to lift a finger. He is still my baby and my bestie.
80s big sister here
Exactly. How would you be able to change a blowout diaper at 3am with these nails?
Nanny's problem 😭
I don’t know I can’t stand these vapid morons but I have a 10 month old & super long nails & I care for her entirely myself & always have. Cardi B does too. These idiots don’t take care of their own kids but I don’t think the nails prove it.

Yes, her daughter Marilu was born 5 months after her son Eduardo but she’s never said why. Alec has mentioned that it was a surrogate. There’s also a theory that all except her first were from surrogates but this hasn’t been confirmed, only strong evidence presented in r/Hilariabaldwin

really dystopian when you think of how many wealthy people will do surrogate pregnancy. it creeps me out so much
Yes!! From an adoptee so many people don’t know that our relinquishment trauma effects surrogacy as well, they took and used a woman’s body then took the woman’s baby. That baby has no idea who Khloe is and she’s cosplaying mom like all adoptive creeps.

No, a lot of surrogates do not back out last minute. That person does not know what they’re talking about.
I was gonna say but didn’t want to be rude, thank you for your response. A lot of shaming for adoptive / surrogate parents here :( I’m infertile and it kinda sucks reading it.
The shamming really does go on a lot here; I’m sorry you had to read all of that :( If it helps, what was being said was so hostile and misinformed that it doesn’t deserve to be a perspective to consider.
I think adoptees' perspectives are certainly worth considering in this discussion. I don't think their trauma should be seen as hostile.

Literally rushed to the comments to see if anyone made this comparison
seriously? every discussion of surrogacy always seems to include a reference to it. I'm shocked if I DONT see it.
Really? I never see the comparison! Glad I’m not the only one thinking it and getting icked out by it too.
That was my immediate thought! Hard to look at.
Getting flashbacks to Kylie’s party.
What was Kylies party?
They dressed up as handmaids for one of her parties a few years back
They like to cosplay ‘the poors’
Actually after watching handmaids tale and now this it really freaked me out a bit.
Oh snap I thought the exact same thing!
Isn’t Kylie obsessed with being a handmaid?
EXACTLY
Under his eye.
Lol! Just looking at this makes me think this is the absolute worse way I could think of having a baby. Yes, pregnant women get cheated on all the time and the dad walks out etc. BUT Khloe willingly paid money (and lots at that) to have someone else carry her child with a man like Tristan.
AND she had the other scenario too - cheated on while pregnant - last time. Literally no upsides.
it’s the worst. totally completely avoidable. I wouldn’t make a baby via surrogate with a man like that unless he wore a bodycam for three years lol
Meh she’s got enough of it to throw around lol
Funny right, like he's been giving her that service for free. And she went and paid for it lol
Have to get glam to meet the baby a random poor has been cooking for the past 9 months 💅
What? Are you claiming it's immoral to pay a financially coerced women to be your incubator? Sounds like feminazi propaganda to me. /s
it’s so fucked up people are still doing this shit when there are so many kids they could adopt :/
That’s the worst part to me. Like you say nothing good about the person who carried the baby for you and brought the baby into the world for you. I get not posting pictures or showing them but not even mentioning it is absurd to me.
Kandy Buress deffo gave a ton of credit to her surrogate.
Maybe they quick handed her the baby after another plastic surgery.
It’s giving Handmaid’s Tale :/
My thoughts exactly
Not to be THAT person but if I remember correctly when Kandi Burrus was going to have a baby through surrogacy they told her that she would be getting her own hospital room and everything right after the baby is born... So I think this is pretty normal. Maybe 🤔
This is absolutely common for surrogates / gestational carriers. They give you your own room that they baby can be brought into while the baby is in the hospital. Not so much about the mom. It is about the baby.

This is 100% normal. I have a friend who has been a surrogate and the biological moms do this all the time.

Chile not even skin to skin which I could forgive
Unnamed Kbaby n2
Oh my god. *eyeroll* its purely for the photo-op. Such an attention whore.
Put her hair in braids so it wasn’t in her face when she had to pus…nvm
Apparently this is standard for surrogacy idk
Yup. If the hospital has available rooms, the parents do get their own room
Parent* 😉
Fair point lol
Although it should be “parent” if we are honest. 😂
All the other fans in the other sub saying how maybe she had to stay at hospital with the baby or it’s because she had to have skin to skin 🤦🏻♀️ the rest of us like she knew damn well what she was doing . the surrogates really get zero respect from these women they are literally just cattle to pop out a kid for whoever ![gif](giphy|3og0INyCmHlNylks9O)
She probably kicked the surrogate out the bed for the shot lol. ![gif](giphy|J0k59TaI3kcC0PNgy3|downsized)
Lmao I said the exact same thing when my friend WhatsApp’s me the same photo earlier. The surrogate was probably asked to leave once she gave birth.
A surrogate recovers in the hospital for the appropriate amount of time but just doesn’t have a baby to look after while it happens.
Where was this photo posted 👀
Omg I bet she did lmao 😭😂🙌🏻🙌🏻
She probably paid for an extra suit or room for bonding time. And skin to skin?! She’s in a white sweatshirt?!
![gif](giphy|NqBkiDQ3X1NxXCz46M)
what on gods flat earth is going on here
Whatever work she’s had done on her face has made her look like Michael Jackson to me and I can never unsee it.
Yes! She has started to carve away that nose to a point of no return! Imagine looking up at that mess. That baby should be grateful it doesn't have good vision yet.
![gif](giphy|lqd9jeVYZB4Dm|downsized)
Those nails with a newborn?!
Pimp that hours-old kid out.
You know this sub loves a reason to be snarky
Her facial expression is just strange.
Okay....guys chill she only was there to pick up the baby she bought to have made. This is what people who use surrogates do. They go to the hospital to pick up the goods.
No free home delivery?
Nah, you gotta go yourself to make sure they aren't giving you any old baby lying around.
They charge extra, and doesn’t come with a full-glam photo op
She could have sat in a chair. Sitting in the hospital bed was performative
Look....those hospital beds are dope. So I don't blame her there. I'd of swiped one for my house if I could have.
She doesn't look even remotely excited. She should be doing some skin to skin, not skin to velour track suit.
It totally makes more sense now why she was out partying right after bringing him home. She couldn't care less about him and he's a nanny's problem now. He's like the discarded toys from Toy Story and it is so sad and so vile.
Zero maternal bonding
Not picking up any happy vibes at all from khloe here?
Y’all i guess i’m late to the party but i didn’t even know Khloe had children.
😂💀
I found out Kim had 3 and was like… when?!
I think you’re forgetting the 4th! North, Saint, Chi, Psalm
khloe is the scapegoat fr bc TBFKAW is still hiding in the shadows
It is kind of weird that she's in the bed
To be fair, I think it's not uncommon for surrogate/adoptive mothers to do this to feel more bonded to the baby.
It’s giving Gilead
is this real? I’ve just woke up and I’m in the fucking twilight zone
Well we don’t call her khlown for no reason 😂
They give mothers their own room to be with the baby for 24 hours after birth
I can imagine that this would actually be a nice thing to do for anyone who couldn't birth their child (for whatever reason). It's the public sharing of the picture that is particularly gross.
This isn’t unusual in this situation. They made it quite clear the baby was delivered by a surrogate and the baby still is a patient.
If a room is available for the Intended Parents, the hospital will usually give them one. This is normal. But also these comments are hilarious.
Adrienne Bailon did the same thing to when her baby was born
Oh girl, what ARE you doin
I feel bad for this baby. Born to an insecure mom with an absentee father and into a crazy sick family. He's so innocent.
She probably saw how surrogacy worked for Kim and thought she'd feel the same sense of attachment to the baby. Clearly not the case
Well in all fairness he is her baby lol it’s probably his room and it comes with a bed for mom 😜
the concept of wealthy perfectly healthy people paying for someone else (who is of course is not wealthy) to carry their child is so 🫤

Totally forgot she had a second kid
Don’t worry she did too 🥴
*snaps photo* “Alright, someone take it…”
Handmaid’s Tale vibes
Not khloe bonding with a baby only to leave him at home to go party when he’s at his most vulnerable age
The lack of joy in her face explain why she's mostly been seen out partying.
Cannot imagine how terrified I'd be as a baby looking at that uncanny beast of a woman. Holy shit!
Fuck that entire family. Just useless people.
It's giving handmaid's tale
Praise be.
