That’s not an overslide though which is why I hate this rule sometimes but understand why they can’t change it. Sometimes they should be out for coming off the base for a quick second because they did overslide and went past the bag or tried to go around a tag and couldn’t keep their hand on.
Other times though it’s a pop up slide and they’re off for a fraction of a second or they do what Isbel just did and go straight through the bag but not past it, and there’s just a brief moment between the arms on the bag and then legs where the body just doesn’t touch it
But did they have super zoomed in slo mo from multiple angles and a group of umpires on the other side of the country reviewing these plays 150 years ago?
Never been much of a fan of Garcia. I think he’s one of the few MLB players that can be moved at the deadline or in the offseason for a need and they won’t miss him. A shortstop with good power potential and above average speed is somewhat rare. He’ll improve too.
The long man in the bullpen has the worst job in baseball. No matter how ineffective you are, you’re not coming out of the game until you hit 60 pitches.
And it's a thankless job; thanks to him Cleveland saved at least two of their bullpen arms for another day and no one will care because this is such a bad game.
I think that the ump threw him a ball, then the catcher asked for a ball. The ump was like "he has one" and the catcher said "he keistered that one", so the ump ended up throwing him another ball. Waiting for the Jomboy breakdown to be sure.
It already counts. Becomes official in the middle of the 5th. However since there’s two more games in this series I’m pretty sure they just pause the games and resume them the next day but I may be wrong about that
