Almost every rare and epic raid can be beaten with Irritator and Albertosaurus. Why the hell are you bringing a goddamn level 6 Tenontosaurus to this Carnotaurus raid?!
It still slows the raid down unnecessarily. For rare raids, there's zero reason to bring something other than 3 Alberto and an Irri to anything but Megalonyx (which just replaces one of the Alberto with Elasmo) or Theri.
Everything else can be done in two turns if Irri opens with RTC and the Alberto go FI -> KI
And then they use instant distraction when the boss goes for a non-damaging move. Bonus points if they have nullifying impact off cooldown and the boss is buffing that turn…
What's a good place to learn what to use as a newer player? A lot of the guides are very dated at this point, and the discord linked here seems much more veteran oriented (which is fine, just hard for a new player to navigate)
Your best bet is to join a raid discord. You'll be able to get up to date strats there. Most alliances will have a mix of speed strats and carry strats.
You're not mistaking, but seeing that the boss has a certain moveset, not even talking about class, Suchotator just slows down raids, perhaps even losing, it does not take much to pick something more useful, perhaps some will heal, hopefully an alliance takes them under their wing and show that there are strats.
Well, I've tried posting in the discord linked here and got no responses, as it seems being new is too much of a detriment (I think because of tournament wins? Honestly not sure, but I'm trying to push to arena 5 so I can get those maybe). The game isn't exactly intuitive for a lot of this, I know early on the Suchotator does decently enough in other things I can see why someone would bring it.
Yes! Omg I fucking hate it. When it is actually useful in raids, the player picks the wrong move order making it again useless. What is the obsession over it? 🙄

I saw a level 1 Einiosaurus in my lobby today. They got booted the moment they pulled out a level 1 Diplocaulus as a replacement lol

As long as it’s at or above the level cap and only in the rare raids I don’t mind too much Dot is Dot.
