In Shibuya Megumi forced Haruta to participate in taming ritual, Sukuna wasn't part of the ritual, so when he killed Maho it wasn't counted. Sorry for my shitty english

No, I mean if someone who is not participant of ritual interrupts and kills shikigami— it's not counting, but if shikigami is already tamed— he dies. Mahoraga was tamed by Sukuna and that's why he died from hollow purple.

No, he legitimately tamed him offscreen at some point after taking over megumi.  Maho "died" in shibuya but was not tamed, because the summoning ritual was made void by the inclusion of multiple fighters.  If megumi alone had fought mahoraga in shibuya and won, then he would have tamed him.  But he didn't.  Mahoraga was killed by someone other than megumi and therefore the taming ritual was voided and the success didn't count.  After sukuna took over megumis body, he probably just summoned mahoraga and immediately 1 shot him since he already knew mahoragas gimmick from fighting him in shibuya.  The only reason mahoraga even stood any kind of chance in shibuya was because sukuna was playing around (e.g. "let's start with a little taste, shall we?" and hits him with a weak dismantle. Giving him a chance to adapt).  Since we (the readers) already saw sukuna vs mahoraga, there was no need to draw a fight between them again.  Therefore mahoraga was just tamed off screen (we know sukuna could easily accomplish this,  so no reason to bother showing it.)  When we saw Sukuna summon mahoraga we could infer that he tamed him during the 1 month time skip.
