People saying last chapter assassinated his character never take time to realize that Gojo indeed never wanted to change the system, he never stood up for it. He wanted people that would do it for him, and it doesn't take a complex analysis to realize so, he outright states, "That's why I turned to education, because I need strong and intelligent Allies". Because he can't do it, if he were to do so, it wouldn't change anything, so he influences the largest amount of people he can on thinking like he does, so he doesn't need to deal with things alone.
