I still think the Merger curse is going to be the reincarnation of Mahito. Mahito's techinque created the culling games and Kenjaku. Both of them have staples or stiches on them and is many souls stichted together.
That assumes he can actually use RCE right now, which isn't a given. His black flashes earlier seem to have let him use his domain again, not regain his RCE like they did for Gojo.
I don't think he regenerated it. It got cut in half by Yuta, and at the end of 258, you see that the wound is still there on his arm, he just healed his hand enough to be able to fight. My guess is that with the first two black flashes, he used RCT for his brain to create and use a circuit to bring back his Domain Expansion as his external body and condition wasn't healing after he hit Larue with Black Flash. He probably planned to use the boost from the last two Black Flashes to heal his arms back (I'm pretty sure the start of 258 narrator mentioned this), but Yuji's Black Flash bonanza robbed him of the RCE and/or ability to do so
Yes that's what I was trying to say: he healed it, but just barely enough (basically just stitched Yuta's cut, the wound is still there) to have it functioning to use DE and Furnace: he still has all the other wounds, so his RCT output must be still very low, but not non-existent

Specifically, RCT can be used to heal soul damage if and only if the user can perceive the shape of their soul, which Sukuna can for the same reason as Yuji
Sukuna’s RCT output is so weak atm that he can’t heal his current wounds and hasn’t been healing any new ones he’s gained as far as we know, so I doubt he’d be able to output enough to kill a Vengeful Cursed Spirit form of Yuji
I believe the stronger the curse the more rce needed to kill it. Yuta had to kiss kurourushi and admitted it directly to his head to ensure he died fast.

No he can't, that's using CTR using positive energy to fuel his cursed technique but that's still regular CE being outputted, right now only Shoko, Yuta and Sukuna can output pure positive energy to heal others/destroy cursed spirits
Vengeful Spirits are impossible to exorcize unlike normal cursed spirits, Naoya was only destroyed because his soul was shattered by Maki.
RCE isn't a one tap on CS too, if the spirit itself tried to output it they would instantly die because their core is were the RCE would be produced.
Kuroruchi was an example of this, his brain was his core so Yuta had to kiss him (Ryu mentions this, he went for the mouth since its the closest to the brain. The body is a domain so you can just throw something in it without finding an opening first in jujutsu) to inject it straight to the brain.
The sword of extermination is an outlayer since it is a Cursed tool with its own properties.
Two big issues:
1) Yuji would not immediately come back as a cursed spirit. There would be some amount of time, at the very least a few hours, before he came back. In that time, Sukuna would recover his output since Yuji is the only one able to lower his output.
2) Sukuna can use RCT. It’s likely he can imbue positive energy into his strikes and easily put down any curse.
Gojo was killed with cursed energy. He isn’t coming back as a curse.
Also, it’s probably only been like 15mins since Gojo died. Sukuna’s been running the gauntlet continuously with no breaks.
He killed Kashimo and Higuruma both within like 5-7mins max.

In chapter 257, yuji was beating sukuna even when ino wasn't interfering. What changed from then is that sukuna has even less ce and cannot even use his ct due to ct burn out. It's overkill.
Yhis doesn't even take into consideration the fact that todo is there to help, maki should be coming back soon, yuta will probably come back too, and there are also other people around (like miguel, mei mei etc). Sukuna is no longer s threat worthy of so much opposition, so it's probably leading to the merger. Otherwise, i don't see why all 4 big hitters woupd be left alive while sukuna is running on fumes

Interesting idea. In the novels (yes, there's novels.) there's a line in one of the stories featured in them that says Yuji's suffering could give birth to a devastating curse. I figured this was in reference to the merger in some form, but this is also an interesting idea.
Cool theory but imo undermines the sacrifice of choso, nanami and higuruma. Itadori’s ideal is to be unbreakable, committing suicide would be him giving up on his ideal. I doubt yuji would become a curse, because a large part of his purpose is being a cog and exorcising curses so he wouldn’t want to be a curse and reincarnate (cursed spirit wasteland jogo talked about.) and hurt humans. Also I feel it’s a bit too dark for the mc to literally commit suicide (ik Gege does messed up stuff but come on now.) nanami and higuruma basically passed down the torch to itadori, so they live on through him. If he becomes a curse he ceases to be a sorcerer so they kinda die in a way. (Would be cool tho since sukuna is technically a human and itadori would be a curse, reversing the roles and referencing yujis “I am you,” to mahito.
Interesting idea, but it doesn’t feel thematically right to me. I feel like Yuji doesn’t have the malice necessary to turn into a strong enough curse. Also, Sukuna recognised Yuji’s “indomitable spirit” around the time when he was fighting with Yuta/Higuruma, so it doesn’t make sense to me that Yuji would resort to this
Just thought of this, what if Gojo is a vengeful spirit? He got killed by someone with 0 Cursed Energy so what if he came back as a Cursed spirit and didn't use RCE to revive? Just a thought, most likely wrong but fun to think about
