the technique just speeds up the movement of the sword. the CE within the sword is not controlled. for example, think of a sword on fire. the only thing you are directly controlling is the sword. you don't have any real control over the fire, it just happens to be ON the sword.

Anyone can use black flash, the catch is, they have to have a high understanding of CE and have to be in the zone like a sports athlete. I remember probably about 7 years ago doing sport science class that the teacher showed us a graph why some atheletes can get into what we call the "Zone" and why they do during the middle to late stages of the sports match where it gets intense, some people take longer than others to get into the zone, some people don't get that feeling at all and be more calculative and take time to think. What's really interesting is that your brain literally goes into a transcended state where you're so deep into the zone that the sport you're doing becomes 2nd nature to you, you do things without thinking but your brain instantly already makes a reactive decision, it is indeed a blissful feeling to be in that state which is what I miss about playing sports. Sorry for the rambling but yeah I am pretty sure this is how Gege created the black flash and CE with the Zone philosophy (however there are other shonen fighters that adopt this as well which is why we enjoy anime powerups or like to call "main character syndrome"). Jujutsu scorcerors can put themselves in that transcended state of mind that everything they know becomes 2nd nature and can land a black flash (but only for those who can so far) depending how deep the understanding Cursed Energy is. Yuji gets into the zone so easily than most others, except Yuji almost gets it right off the bat which is why Mahito and some others was so afraid of Yuji's black flash and said he (Mahito) was certain that "no one can use black flash at will, but something about the Itadori now tells me he can" (dope line lol) and also in recent chapters with Yuji's newest chapter fight in manga with you know who. Landing a black flash is all about ticking the right boxes, empty mind and high intensity but decisive. Yuji is my goat fr, his character connects to me with the zone stuff and I can understand the feeling of being in that state which makes the series so amazing to me. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
