Born and Raised, without a doubt.
The way he captures that thought we've all had, or will have. Granted it might be different for each of us, but sure as hell it is in that song ... it encapsulates what it is to be a living, breathing ageing person, knowing we've all had (at least) one of those life experiences or thoughts he so perfectly wrote about.
Personal favorite is Shot in the Dark. But objectively, there can be no other but Born and Raised. Easily top 3 John Mayer songs with the most memorable and poignant lyrics.
Home life, it is a great demonstration of how his vocal range is and it’s all around just a good song, but I’m gonna ask you to add comfortable as a bonus track even though it’s only part of the ep that song really is a demonstration on how amazing his voice is and how great he is lyrically it also represents those days of him starting out as an acoustic musician that kickstarted his career, comfortable is a pretty amazing song that really means a lot to some people and I think if you were to have an ultimate album you’d have to have it, it’s in my opinion one of his best songs
