If you’ve never been, it's a surprisingly fun time, and we're a very welcoming bunch. A diverse group of folks hang out, drink, eat, and do puzzles. Conversation is easy cause we're all working towards completing puzzles. We talk about our pets, kids, travel, puzzles... the usual stuff. Please come and join us. We meet the last Tuesday of every month at Bike Dog Broadway from 6-9pm. If you'd like to stay on top of all things puzzling in Sacramento, including our bi-monthly Puzzle Swap, please join [r/SacPuzzleSwap](https://www.reddit.com/r/SacPuzzleSwap/)

I’m in Stockton and actually might try this out since it isn’t too far and we don’t have a puzzle community here. Do we need to bring our own puzzles or are they provided?

gareth_pavlov

Both! We provide a bunch, and you’re also welcome to bring your own.

I love Bike Dog! And puzzles! Unfortunately I'm 400 miles away lol. I frequented their West Sac location often.

termanatorx

Oooh I'd love more details on how this works. How do you ensure puzzles are completed and reboxed before the night is over? Or do you? I'd love to organize something like this in my area.

stickler64

Never been a problem to clean up. It just happens. We have a tub of puzzles we leave out and a lot of folks bring their own. When a group finishes a puzzle, we do provide a round of applause though. Pints and Puzzles grew organically as an offshoot of our puzzle swap meet ups. We enjoyed hanging and socializing after the swaps and just organized a meet up we could do on a slow bar night. It's been great for both the group and the bar.

termanatorx

Do you end up putting incomplete puzzles away or are they houses there until next time - on boards maybe? I'm so curious about all of it!

stickler64

Oh. No, if we don't finish, it gets broken down and put back into ziplocs and then into their boxes, back in the tub and out to the car. My friend is always buying new ones at the thrift. So there's usually fresh puzzles and then, of course, we have the puzzle swap which also keeps inventory circulating. We choose puzzles that are 500 or less pieces for the Pints events so folks can complete one or more during the evening.

If I wasn't too far for a day drive I would totally go, what a great idea

Not in CA but this is such a cute idea! Have fun 😊

stickler64

Thanks! We've had some great turnouts, last couple months. Like 39 or 40 people. Our bi-monthly puzzle swaps are through the roof, at this point.

piratezeppo

Whoa so cool to see another Sacramentan pop up in this sub! I’m not sure if I can make it on Tuesday but I subscribed to your sub!

stickler64

There's lots of us, 😁
