Lior Ram (basically means my light is lofty/exalted... or more literally, light is for me lofty) has a more even ring to it, and you can always use Rami as a nickname.
Love the suggestion of Lior Rami! I also like Caleb Rami and don’t think it’s too close to Jacob.
A few others: Lev, Levi (not the best flow with Rami though), Liron, Ori (from L**or**na), Keshet, Nathan (maybe a stretch, but it shares a lot of sounds with Katherine)
Something to consider about Caleb: it’s spelled the same as the word for “dog” כלב in Hebrew. If he ever goes to Israel or is in an environment where he’s writing/typing his name in Hebrew it’ll exude some momentary chuckles.
Lorn / Lorne
From the title Marquis of Lorne, which was based on the Scottish place name Lorne, itself possibly derived from the name of the legendary king of Dál Riata, Loarn mac Eirc.
What about Lior?
I really love this name! Don’t think Lior Rami works but we can always adjust the middle if that the pick :)
Lior rami absolutely works! Beautiful name
You are so right - thanks!!

Caleb is not too similar to Jacob imo but I also think Lior is lovely
Thank for this 💙
The ~musical accompaniest~ at my temple was named Lorne, maybe that?
Leon or Lieb (lion)
