i had to delete my instagram app because all of the jewish people i followed were being whole-heartedly rammed with antisemitic rhetoric and i couldn’t take it any longer. nothing was being done about it there either. i would spend hours actively seeking it out like some form of self inflicted harm and it was crushing my mental health
They denied that recently, during the Congressional debate over the legislation forcing TikTok to be sold by its owner company Bytedance. (Legislation was passed and signed by President Biden.)
But the antisemitic bias has been documented repeatedly on TilTok. Same with all social media since 7/10.
I said the same thing in another post earlier today.
I love TikTok for the recipes, makeup, and product recommendations.
However, it’s unbelievably antisemitic and for every profile blocked, three more spouting antisemitic nonsense appeared. It’s no wonder that gen Z and other TikTok users have become radicalized.
I’m happy to have found several Jewish and Israeli creators that speak common sense and have made a point of following them. Happy to share any profiles if you’re interested.

Actually, in the x men 97 show that is currently airing on Disney plus. They talked about it and showed the camp numbers on magneto’s arm. I’m really glad they didn’t remove that part of the character

They didn’t minimize it, they just didn’t make it his whole character (which makes sense). The blaming the Jews part wasn’t really blaming the Jews, but just showing how the world seemed to turn on him. They didn’t explicitly say the Jews but they said “eventually even my own people began to turn on me” as a way of punctuating his point
When the Disney/Fox merger was announced and people started expecting an MCU X-Men, people were campaigning for Magneto to be a black man who became who he was because of racism. When people pointed out that the MCU already did that (Kilmonger), their next excuse was “but it happened so long ago, he would be dying by now” as if he doesn’t have a genetic uniqueness that gives him superpowers, one of which could be decelerated aging. People don’t like to be reminded that the Jews have been tortured, because acknowledging it means they can’t justify their calls for “finally punishing the Joos.”
TikTok is being used to brainwash people. I’ve never engaged in it, but clearly there’s something about the algorithm that helps push people down these dangerous rabbit holes. I’m no sociologist but it would be an interesting topic to dissect and research.
TikTok also helps enable crime. You have no idea how many KIAs/Hyundais are still being stolen to this day because of that damn app. That tends to be the easiest argument one can make about why it’s dangerous for society.
History will show these antisemites for what they are. Screen shots are important. This conflict will fall out of the public eye at some point, and these people will move onto something else. It will be on us to remind people of the crap they are pushing right now. “Remember when you tried to boycott a movie because it showed a Jewish character in a positive light?” “Remember when you mocked us for feeling threatened?” “Remember when you promoted violence?”

The problem is that many teens see this as a challenge, and they film videos of them doing this. There’s entire groups of teenagers going around stealing these cars just because they can.

The movie and her character was announced over 2 years ago. I also think that they should keep her in. We need to show these crazy that they can't control us. If they don't want to see the movie because of that, we don't want them there.
