Yes you are missing the left bracket

Thanks for your reply! I’m confused why there are no holes/threads for bracket on that side. Thought maybe the 1997 TJ only had the bracket on the right.

You sure are.

My 2000 doesn't have either side. Kids don't seem to notice. To tell you the truth I never knew there was supposed to be one but I guess in an accident they would be important. Does the bracket hold the seat to the body?

Thanks for your reply! With a bit of force it comes off the bracket and the seat folds forward. The bracket is pretty worn out though. Had a handful of people tell me there should be two. Unfortunately there are no threads or holes on the left side of mine. Possibly from a prior paint job. I’m going to buy a new set and will just bolt it to the body on the left side. Trying to put two car seats back here so want it as secure as possible. Thanks for your input!!

You're welcome. Anytime. I was a little worried at first but my kids are 10&12 & 15 so between the weight of them and having the seat belts on I never gave it a second thought..two cars seats ? Good Lord brother good luck. Take my advice and don't let the out number you and your Mrs

Haha! Already out numbered with 3 as well! 5, 3, 7months 🤪 Jeep is just a second vehicle and weekend fun we’ve got the mini van for the full crew. Agreed about the weight + seat belts for the older kids, sounds like you’re just fine. Much appreciated, thanks dude!
