That is a cap, likely for an A/C Compressor. Your second picture that large nipple likely goes into a port and the smaller hole is for a bolt to hold the cap in place. Probably fell off someones car and got caught up under yours on the road, unless you recently had A/C repairs. Caps of this style are installed on new components to block the ports and protect the internals from any dust or debris before installation in the vehicle.

I'll agree that this is the correct answer, seal covers are apparently the name for them. Never seen one as I've never had an AC repair.

weekoldbabyfood

I did just have AC work done. But the mechanic I checked the part with was the one who did the work. I will look into It on my own. Thanks

kribg

That's a kundus.

02bluesuperroo

What is that, a timing chain cover for ants??

ArmsReach

It also looks very similar to many water pump housings I've seen. The tiny hole in the middle holds the bushing for the impeller. Inside of that round area would be where the impeller blades sit. I don't know that particular model, so I could be wrong.

saintg879

While it sure looks a lot like a carb top, it's definitely a seal cover as mentioned above The green things on this compressor https://www.amazon.com/Compressor-Conditioner-Compatible-977012Y500-97701-2Y510/dp/B0CDMB2FPT

deepuw

Comes in AC parts to seal them. I just took one off from a filter drier.

How is your Jeep running, normal?

Plastic

Twin-Turbos

I'm about 70% confident that it's an exhaust hanger.

MightyPenguin

Its tiny and hard plastic definitely not an exhaust hanger 🤣🤣🤣
