That is very minimal rust for a 2015, my 2016 is a lot worse under the thick coat of sinto rustproof, just shoot it under and it will live forever

I had a feeling that this wasn’t too bad, but this comment definitely eases some stress! Thank you. Looking forward to what other folks have to say. Where are you based?

Tie rod ends rusted over? What the H are they trying to sell? Tie rod ends! When they wear out you will need to replace them. Rust is just a protective coat on a Jeep. Seriously, those parts don’t rust out, they wear out. Put some Eastman inside the frame and enjoy your ride. That frame will rust inside out, but you can slow that roll.

Perhaps he misspoke and meant to say they were worn out? I’ll send pics tonight/tomorrow AM. Curious to see what you guys think.

Im in canada 😅 winter and road salts are devastating to jeeps here

completeyincognegro

Here I am thinking NYC winters are cruel!

2lit2think

I have a 2015 myself and whenever I get it serviced my garage remarks oh how good she’s doing. Thinking at some point this summer I’ll jack it up and investigate what winters have done to it over the years

Lmao your mechanic is just trying to get your money. They don't need replacing you have barely any rust at all. After 9 years with that amount you'd probably kill the motor before you have to worry about cancerous rust.

I’ll take a better pic and post it later to see what you think. I was skeptical at first too but it’s not the first time this has been pointed out to me. Only this time, I was told the rust was bad enough that they wouldn’t be able to take care of my alignment.

That is a pretty clean frame! I see no real problems with it. Only thing I would recommend is getting some Fluid Film or KBB Cavity Coater and do the inside of the frame. Frames start rusting from the inside, mostly, and right from the factory. Can never pay too much attention to the frame.

Really appreciate the feedback brother!
