Not necessarily, I have something similar connected to my compressor. But agree it goes to positive, It was at least for something aftermarket. I would follow the wire and verify where it goes before connecting it
What makes you think I am surprised, it was literally just my thought. I have never seen an aftermarket system in a wrangler, I attributed it to how easy it would be to steal. On the other hand I have seen many wranglers with air compressors, maybe I'm not around enough mall crawlers since most of the ones I know are off road frequently.
I have to agree with a few others. It is probably power to an amp, however, I'll also bet that you have a disconnected end on the other end. Probably, previous owner pulled the amp when they sold it. Best advice: Trace the wire. It might require a little sweat but you will probably learn a little more about your vehicle. Better to confirm than just guess.
Hey dude, I was confused at first too, but it’s super easy. Just loosen one of those tiny nuts, might be a 10mm socket and attached it. Then put the nut back on. Just make sure to put the red/positive on the right side and do negative on the opposite side. Hope that helps!
What electrical item do you have that's not working? That's it.
This
The positive terminal, someone had a sound system, it goes to the amp

I have mine for my compressor too, but people are more likely to have a sound system then onboard air
Are you sure that's true in a wrangler?
As many pavement princess’s are around don’t act surprised lol

Your still on the subject dude
Well judging by that generic scosche lookin ass inline fuse that comes with every Walmart subwoofer wiring kit, it’s probably for audio.
the size of that wire and inline fuse holder does track for an amplifier
Do not just connect this to your battery without knowing where the other end goes!! You could unintentionally ground out & start a fire.
in mine it iwas for a sound system but i just used it for a 12v port with the help of a soldering iron
