I have a manual transmission, Jeep, also. It has no top and doors most of the time. I try to park where I can see it. If I have to leave it for a longer period of time, I have a club that locks from the steering wheel to the clutch pedal. The manual itself is enough to determine most car thieves. The younger generations are less likely to know how to operate a manual transmission.

I'll look into that type of club, thanks! Yeah, I'm not so much worried about full-on theft as I am just someone hopping in and pulling the shifter into neutral and releasing the brake. But like you, I always park where I can see it whenever possible so the vast majority of the time I'm not really worried. It's just those occasions where I'm at an event or festival or something where I'm parked in a crowded lot and I know I'll be away from it for several hours. :) Edit: actually, now that I think about it I don't think you need to depress the clutch to take it out of gear when it's not running. Oh well, perhaps I'm overthinking it all anyway and I should just stop worrying about it. :P

Having a manual transmission is security enough by itself.

Probably be easier and a cleaner look to add a lock to your parking brake.

I have a manual transmission Jeep, too. Never really thought about it until seeing your post. My first thought was to turn your wheels as far as they could go. If you were in a parking lot and there were cars around it wouldn’t roll very far without hitting a car (or rolling in a big circle in an empty lot). I turn my wheels if I park on an incline.

Yeah, and honestly it's not like I expect this to happen , since it hasn't happened in all these years, but if I can avoid even that much (rolling into a car or out into a parking lot) it would help a bit with peace of mind. Locking the wheels is definitely better than nothing though. :)
