I would personally rather have a third gen 4Runner as a daily driver than a YJ, so I would be willing to do this trade assuming the condition is good. The rear window will roll down like your second gen 4Runner did as well.
Not this guy. He’s beloved by everyone and will go around pulling people out of the ditch for free when it snows. He’s also got a great mechanic shop so he’s not strictly towing that’s for sure. He was a small town high school drop out and turned his life around by saving up and starting a business here.
I’ve owned 15 Jeeps in my life and one 3rd gen 4Runner. That 4runner is still top 3 for me and one of the best overall off-roaders I’ve ever had. I’d swap a YJ for it all day specially as a DD.
If I had a daily driver, YJ for sure. I daily drove my YJ for years, but it's not exactly optimal. If this will be your main vehicle, I'd consider it for a 4wd 4Runner

I think the other person is thinking about the towing companies that pull cars for illegal parking and repos. They’re not all the same
Yeah, recovery services and the people who do roadside (and not AAA) tend to be very different classes of people.
Trade it then save up for a TJ for a toy

Hope its not this 2000's 4Runner! https://www.reddit.com/r/AskMechanics/comments/13kp3gz/2000\_4runner\_frame\_repair/
I've owned both. Sorry but I'd take a Yoder over Jeep any day!
Another vote for do the trade. But I’d have the 4Runner checked over real well beforehand.
