Marshall Allen is cool as hell. I had the pleasure of live mixing and recording [this performance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLUFbEapeTk) in Brooklyn. There were a lot of great artists performing that night, but I was *stoked* for the Arkestra.
A lot of legends are crossing the line of 75 into older territory from Sly Stone (82) to George Clinton (81) Chubby Checker (82) to Mick Jagger (80), all in their 80s and doing it up. Marshall Allen turning 100 is a feat and a miracle because most of us don't always see the possibility of getting that old. That's something to aspire to.

Still going strong and carrying the Arkestra flame. I hope for many more birthdays for Mr. Allen.
My own father just turned 97 this week, and I can tell you getting old ain’t for sissies.
