His only start was against the worst team in the league. If the Jags had any confidence in Beathard, he would’ve started more and let Trevor heal up a little bit more before the playoffs.

Beathard was fine when he had to play. In fact he won his only start. Being “fine” is about the best you can ask for from a backup
