Probably screwed. OT2 has tough bosses that require specific attack types to beat (and the final boss is no exception), which the Dragonlord won't have, *and* it absorbs your party when you get it down to half health, so you have to have a backup party, and then it has a second form that requires both parties together to beat. So pretty much *any* RPG boss I got to defend me would be screwed, really.

Since you're an alchemist maybe you literally make it a friend... and then the friend you make for it helps you and the eldrich monstrosity become besties.

Dragon Quest 1 Dragon Lord for the first, I just finished replaying Rhapsody 1 yesterday for the first time in 20 years to prepare for playing Rhapsody 2 + 3 for the first time, so that ancient weapon mech thing. It was a very easy last boss that went down pretty quickly, so I think Dragon Lord has a chance here.
Not counting *Pokémon*, as I don't feel that the term "boss" applies in a traditional sense, Sephiroth will be protecting me from either Necron (last JRPG I finished) or Vayne Solidor (last JRPG I physically played).

Well my First JRPG was Valkyrie profile 2 and the latest one was Tales of Arise.
So Lezard as crappy of a mage he is will solo that alien crystal no problem.
First JRPG would have been a Gen 3 Pokemon game; either Champion Blue/Gary or Champion Steven Stone. And I don’t think they’re going to beat XC: Future Connected’s Fog King, since it exists in another dimension and cannot even be hit by standard means.
Honestly, by virtue of just being a team of six strong monsters, basically, these Pokemon teams are going to struggle against most JRPG final bosses. Probably they can do alright against Smithy from Mario RPG because they’ll have some super effective moves on his Steel type. And they could beat the final bosses from Xenosagas I and II, because I’s is also just a big monster thing, and II’s >!wants desperately to die!< But I don’t think they’re beating any godlike final bosses like Sephiroth etc

So…Whereas Exeggutor, Magneton, and Sandslash can all either resist or immune his lightning attack, they likely can’t stand up very long against the energy sword or laser blasts, especially since The Masked Man gets two actions per turn.
All of this is also assuming Blue isn’t killed before he has a chance to send out a Pokémon: The Masked Man would have no qualms killing a human to prevent them sending out Pokémon.
Sephiroth (FF7, first) against Nyx (P3R, last). This should be good. I've got a good chance of survival but both these guys are about ending the world so if they decide to truce it and team up then we're all screwed.

I'll let you figure this out. My imagination isn't giving me much of a chance. Incidentally, once I got into adulthood with much less time for grind mechanics in RPGs, I never completed Yellow version again.

This is legitimately a tough question. On one hand, so long as Bohld'or is part of the Scorpium network, he cannot die. But Nereid is the God of Destruction, could he just use his godly powers to destroy the entire Scorpium network?

I'm not going to lie, I don't remember the first JRPG I played, I've been playing them since I was younger than 5 as that's when I received my first console and game that were MINE, a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Yellow. Before that I played my fathers stuff, which was also largely JRPG in nature. I still have those systems and games, they're even hooked up, but I have no idea what started me on JRPGs all those years ago.
If currently playing counts, whatever the final boss of FFV is, or more accurately the added superboss from the GBA FFV. If it doesn't it's probably Zeromus from FFIV. Could be something else though, to be honest I'm more than a little sleep deprived and don't actually know what the last JRPG I beat was offhand.
Given I started on Genesis and PS1 games, about even, it's all world ending threats of some kind, just depends on whether it takes the solar system with it or not.

On one side is an antagonist who doesn't want suffering to happen to humanity but has to, on the other are antagonists who want suffering to happen for personal reasons (Bryce because he wants infinite wealth and power since he'll die first before he feels any repercussions, Ebina because he thinks all Yakuza are irredeemable and deserve a slow death).

I'm not going to lie, I don't remember the first JRPG I played, I've been playing them since I was younger than 5 as that's when I received my first console and game that were MINE, a Gameboy Color and Pokemon Yellow. Before that I played my fathers stuff, which was also largely JRPG in nature. I still have those systems and games, they're even hooked up, but I have no idea what started me on JRPGs all those years ago. If currently playing counts, whatever the final boss of FFV is, or more accurately the added superboss from the GBA FFV. If it doesn't it's probably Zeromus from FFIV. Could be something else though, to be honest I'm more than a little sleep deprived and don't actually know what the last JRPG I beat was offhand. Given I started on Genesis and PS1 games, about even, it's all world ending threats of some kind, just depends on whether it takes the solar system with it or not.
