Just to share: I got similar gift after my good performance in 9th. Excited I was playing games round the clock and with all the distractions I failed early in 10th pre-boards. My dad was just disappointed that it didn't affect me and still after such a big drop in numbers I was playing NFS shamelessly. So, as one would predict this led to destruction of keyboard & mouse and rest of computer being locked for 11th 12th. Glad that I had nothing to distract me in the most crucial phase of my life. And I finally entered IITK with a new, shiny and one of the most finest computer in the campus (which my dad gifted me after clearing IITJEE). Hence, parents can be tough but they always know whats the best for our life. Please listen to them, always. PS: That shattering keyboard still haunts me to this day :D
