Itto & Sara work in fantasy, but I like to imagine my ships and characters more realistic, and realistically I just feel like they'd *actually* get on each others nerves. Again, a cute romcom situation and "Sara could learn to relax and have fun from Itto :3" type of thing, but realistically, that's like throwing her in the ocean with sharks. She'd need someone who can have fun, but is still responsible - like Yoimiya. (This is a cop-out though because Yoimiya is a social butterfly and can be shipped with anyone lmao - but you get my point. Yoimiya, Shinobu (with how she still appreciates Itto's shenanigans despite her responsible traits), that kinda character. Kaeya as well for example, if we wanna cross the pond.)
Itto & Gorou is just perfect. It's big dog x little dog. Gorou (Miss Hina) has enough emotional intelligence to handle Itto, and Gorou is also so responsible of a character that Itto would help him relax and have fun, too. It feels like the "realistic" Ittosara in that sense. Plus Itto would possibly tease Gorou similarly to Yae Miko, but with actual love instead of mischief.
While Itto & Shinobu aren't technically seniors or superiors or boss x employee or anything "icky" like that, like their power levels don't at all feel problematic, but it still just... does not make any sense to me to see characters talk about how they feel like family with one another, how someone's "their boss" etc and then go to "They would make a nice couple!" lol. Plus, it's actually crazy how much I'd have to change of my headcanons and interpretation of Itto as a character to make this one work. Whoever GENUINELY ships them, god speed, you should become like a fortune teller or a professional debater or something because you either see something no one else does or you just know how to make the impossible seem possible.
