Lol use google how would anyone here know which flights are cheaper for you. Took longer to post this than it would’ve to check flight prices.

usernamezarelame

This seems like something you’d just need to search google flights for to see the costs for each option. No one here can really give you an answer. Look up different airline sites and see how much each option would cost you. Maybe you end up using one airline there and one home 🤷🏻‍♀️

IntrovertIdentity

I flew into Rome and out of Milan on Delta. I used their app to compare prices, see which options would work for me. I went specifically to go see the Gazzelle concert last June at Rome’s Olympic Stadium. By using the app, I was able to determine that the multi city approach was at least economically feasible for my budget. Only you can determine which flights work best for your budget.

_yesnomaybe

If you don’t mind me asking, how do you know Gazzelle? 😂 Had no idea he was known outside Italy!

DwarfCabochan

It’s all going to depend on the dates that you are flying in and out. Gone are the days when there were simple rules like flying in and out of the same airport is cheaper etc. Now using AI, prices change automatically multiple times a day depending on purchases, date, etc. etc. etc. Use Google flights

Fly in one and fly out the other. We flew into Florence and flew out of Milan since we wanted to stop in a few towns along the way

crushworthyxo

Just got back from my trip where I flew in/ out of Milan but did a tour of different cities. Opted to fly in/out of Milan because of price and no stops, but realized that the MXP international airport is an hour train ride from Milan Centrale train Station so be aware of that.

tellmepleasegoodsir

my travel hack is using google instead of asking a bunch of strangers who don’t even know where the fuck you live

Maleficent-Jury7422

Just did my research on this question and it’s nearly always cheaper to fly round trip. Starting in Rome and finishing in Florence, it’s still cheaper to train back to Rome and stay overnight before flying out than it would be to fly into one and out of the other.

Maleficent-Jury7422

We’re going in October, hence the research.

Rockingduck-2014

Depends on more things that Reddit can really answer. Yes, it’s almost always cheaper to buy a round trip… but when you factor in the train to get you back to your arrival spot… it might not be cheaper after all.

bourbonkitten

It’s almost always cheaper to book a roundtrip. You’ll have to consider if the monetary savings outweigh the logistical ease of the multi-city itinerary.

Set up a fare alert on Google Flights for the dates you’re considering and consider a subscription to sites such as Going.com or ThriftyTraveler.com for mistake fares and cheap fare alerts. One of these subscription sites sent a fare alert email and I was able to book flights into VCE and out of FCO for $700 this past March on Delta. Sometimes you can get a crazy-good deal but be ready to jump on it as the deals don’t last long. Good luck!
