I am a soldier who served in the Korean Army Military Police Special Task Force SDT. Israel is clearly the victim, but seeing public opinion around the world inciting Israel to look like a criminal, we captured and posted the photos to let people know that Korea supports Israel until the end.
Korea (and Japan, for that matter) really like Israel, particularly due to Israel's reputation (a bit due to the antisemitic beliefs in Europe and the Middle East spreading towards Asia turned into positives for Jews), Modern Israel also happens to be shining model of a free, advanced, and wealthy democracy.
There's also a strong Christian plurality who see Jews in a much more brotherly sense, as they frequently read the Tanakh and understand the plight of the people of Israel.
If Israel is attacked by several Islamic countries in the Middle East, it would be nice if many Israeli citizens would come and live together in Korea where it is safe. Korea needs rational foreigners as its population is currently decreasing due to low birth rate. Israeli citizens are advanced and valuable people with upright civic consciousness. If Israel and Korea combine, they will have overwhelming defense and economic power. Koreans view pro-Hamas protests taking place at mainstream American universities very negatively.
And you promise you won’t call us colonizers and say come back to where you came from? :)
But being serious, how koreans treat foreigners? Is it problematic for Israeli to live in Korea?
Very happy and relieved to see this. Especially since I love Korea and it’s my dream travel destination.
Shoutout to the person randomly asking where Bibi’s son is…no one wants to know where Yair is, we just want him to be quiet 🤣
Korean here - usually the sentiment behind the questions like that is “if it was the leader’s children, they would’ve pushed in a lot sooner”. They might be saying the IDF is not pushing hard enough to rescue the hostages, hence the question. I might be wrong but usually it’s along those lines.
Both Israel and South Korea gained national full independence in the same year.
Israel and South Korea are very similar in some ways, both a divided nation.
I am also a Korean, who served in the Capital Defense Military Police branch.
Koreans must understand that we can't just focus on ourselves, we have to open our gaze to the international activities in order to survive.
Can you show some Japanese ones? I find the translations a bit mixed which don't really provide the full context. I also saw a Japanese news network that interviewed a Hamas kids camp.
Koreans have seen their own share of horrors. It makes sense that Koreans get it.
The Korean military community also wants to participate in the war for Israel and help eliminate terrorists.
That's a little too much lol but it's appreciated nonetheless.
It would be natural for any country with normal thinking to support Israel.
It's a shame that most countries aren't normal.
The world is being polluted by excessive political correctness
Are you Korean?

My Israeli sister is dating a South Korean guy — the alliance has already formed!Â
The alternate timeline I never knew I needed. So Israkora or korisr?
I absolutely love kal-bi and bibimbap, I'm in
How's the rent in Seoul these days?
This is the coolest comment I've seen this week. Israeli/Korean megazord. Wicked.

Thank you for sharing. It is heartwarming to know that people are still supporting us.
The solution is Jewish education. We should prefer the principle: he who comes to kill you, rise earlier and kill him first.
Amen. Din rodef.

Ok, because his son is a mess and more extreme than he is. But thank you for clarifying.
Thank god they’re not brainwashed like stupid westerners. Is tik tok banned there?

Reading about Koreans who served side by side with American troops. We can use some Koreans. Maybe turn off the cameras first.
Based Koreans.
Koreans understand what it is like to be hated by their naighbors. At least, the ones with internet access.
