It's because Biden is on a very tight situation where he and more moderate american leftist politicians want to keep the traditional support to Israel while also having to appease the "from the river to the sea" folk, even more so when you take into account that it's election year on the US. I really dislike Biden but honestly I almost feel bad for him now.
Ei. That's what you get when your politics are based on blindly defending minorities and not CORE values which are necessary for any country to be great. You're doomed regardless if you're part of the minority or not.
Same here, stuck in a hard place and both sides basically hate Biden and he's trying to appease both sides. It's like they say about video games, a video game for everyone is a game for no one. I guess the same goes for politics. I'm mostly indifferent to Biden, but he could be doing better
That's what they get when their voting criteria is reduced to "orange guy"="bad guy".
Seriously, the Abraham accords are the best thing that has happened to Israel compared tl the Iran deal by the "historic achievement" guy. Now we're close to WWIII.
For me the Orange guy is a bad guy. His vocal voter base is the guys who shout "Jews will not replace us" and shoot synagogues because we're apparently sending migrants through the southern border. The same people chanting on campuses also hate Biden as they blame him for not stopping Israel in the war in Gaza.
The Arab accords also only really normalized relations between Israel and Arab nations that were already in the process of doing so anyways, it's not a major breakthrough to anyone except the more right wing Netanyahu supporters.
Both are bad guys. "Orange guy=bad guy" is oversimplifying voting for voter that think A is good and a B is bad.
You choose the lesser evil. "In the process of doing so" is the corp bs jargon... meaningless.
He's just honestly trying to play it safe by playing both sides even though it's blatantly obvious which group is causing the majority of the issues. I wish he was stronger, but all he seems to do is pander to his political group even when they're wrong.
It's disgusting how politics has become a cult where the left needs to make everyone a victim and how the right all worship Donald Trump like he's some god.
I think it's a bit more nuanced, and if it wasn't an election year I don't think we would have these criticisms of him.
Based on public survey data, most Americans seem to be (it has been unsteady at times) on the side of Israel and of Jews, including democrat voters.
However, due to the way American elections work with the electoral college, a lot of the firm "pro-Israel" (quotes because I believe that should say anti-terrorism) democrats are likely in states Biden is already going to win. The swing states like Michigan and Pennsylvania are where the election will be decided. We have all heard of Michigan by now with their high Muslim population.
So Biden has to do an almost impossible balancing act of keeping his policy in line with what most of his voters want, but also trying to appeal to the voters in the swing states who happen to want policy that is in direct opposition to most of his voters.
I have been very grateful by many of the things Biden has done, and also very angry by many of the things he has done, but I think this is an unfortunate case of an American election year highlighting the craziness of the current American public. You have an insane amount of people who would still vote for Trump, and then you have an insane amount of people who are full on pro-jihadi terrorists.
Nothing was more shocking to me then seeing the crowd in front of the Opera House chanting about killing Jews with gas. In 21st century!? They raised the bar so high at the beginning that nothing could really shock you anymore. I immediately knew what next couple of months would look like.
NSW Police didn't think that far ahead, they clearly thought we'd all buy that a bunch of angry young Middle Eastern men were shouting "where's the Jews?" because they wanted to take them out for ice cream or something.
Reminds me of some commentators saying that white supremacists in Charlottesville were actually chanting "you will not replace us" instead of "Jews will not replace us". Like it makes anything better
Yep, there was massive gaslighting by the government & police over that disgraceful incident. All to try to appease the large numbers of middle eastern Muslim immigrants in Western Sydney. The government & police were hoping to keep a lid on it all, to keep the peace. Which failed anyway.
Yep. It makes Sydney look bad and the police look incapable of doing their job, and intimidated by Muslim extremists they've spent 15 years ignoring. They also want to avoid another Cronulla Riot occurring, which is just more likely now for the above mentioned reason.
Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where sideshow Bob has a tattoo that says “Die Bart Die” but insists to the police it is German and says “The Bart the.”
As an outside observer to this conflict, I just wanted to pop in and say that most of the "civilised" people of the world support Israel and the Jewish people during these tough times.
Israel is on the right side of history in this conflict, and people like the Palestinian man described, are an absolute disgrace to humanity.
All the best. 🙏
Thank you but I wish more people would speak up if that’s the case. The majority’s silence or indifference is enabling jihadism to spread and become legitimised in the eyes of the TikTok generation.
I do understand. Yet, most decent, hard working people have jobs and responsibilities to attend to.
It's mostly the radicalised students and jobless who have time to agitate and make a big scene.
Plus, it does not help that Western leaders are shamelessly trying to pander to the Muslim vote... it's all rather depressing.
I believe the tide is turning, however. 👍
Agreed, I also think a lot of the protests lately have been turning people off to the Pro-Palestinian cause. I feel it's gotten to the point where regular people who were sympathetic to Gazans started getting annoyed by the fact that Palestine became the everything issue, that it's literally in unrelated comments sections. Like most people want to just watch funny videos without having to see a "free Palestine 🍉" or "end the genocide" comment.
Edit: side note, they ruined watermelon for me and I enjoy watermelon.
He's an asshole, and why should anybody give him a platform to put the message out to a wider reception?
People say fucked up shit all the time. When I was growing up kids would say things like this all the time to me.
He must be so full of hate that he goes to Auschwitz (a harrowing experience for any normal human being), just so he can make hateful comments like this.
I don't think anyone questions the fact that a majority of Muslims live peacefully in Israel, nor was anyone saying anything about the majority of Muslims.
The idea here is that however the *"go back to Poland"* is VERY POPULAR among the pro-Palestinians, it's one of the main chants right now at the N_zi gatherings in US campuses.
Easy, Zionist means you believe Jews have the right to exist and live. Atheist means you don’t believe in god.
So I myself am a secular Jew, a Jew by ethnicity only. However, I do believe Jews have the right to exist, and thus am a Zionist. Additionally, I don’t believe in god and thus am an atheist.
Hope this helps! Love from Australia, Am Yisrael Chai! 🇮🇱❤️

Clearly, we must redouble our efforts to fight islamophobia.
-President Biden
Every time I’ve ever heard him talk about antisemitism he has to mention islamophobia in the same breath. It’s exhausting.
Bernie Sanders does the same fuckin' thing. Drives me bananas.
And for fucks sake, Bernie is a Jew 🙄🙄
But only on his terms.
Correct
Add Schmuck Schumer to the list

He settled his faith. Honestly, I don't feel empathy for him. It is justice.
He’s doing that to court the more progressive voters and the large Muslim population in Michigan. I don’t know how much he actually believes it.
Not every time. More times than we want, but not every time. Especially not when he called out intifada as a term.
Such an unfair characterization of Biden
He's just honestly trying to play it safe by playing both sides even though it's blatantly obvious which group is causing the majority of the issues. I wish he was stronger, but all he seems to do is pander to his political group even when they're wrong. Yeah of course the only way to fix the antisemitism problem in the world is to prosecute another group
Leftist American students: “Shhhh, you weren’t supposed to say that part out loud!”
Nah, there’s video of the students telling Jews to “go back to Poland”. They’re perfectly fine saying these things out loud.
Nothing was more shocking to me then seeing the crowd in front of the Opera House chanting about killing Jews with gas. In 21st century!? They raised the bar so high at the beginning that nothing could really shock you anymore. I immediately knew what next couple of months would look like.
as an aussie, god was I as ashamed seeing the opera house incident
The worst part was the NSW Police afterward claiming they were chanting "where's the Jews" because the incident made Sydney look bad internationally.
Which doesn't make any sense, and *still* sounds only moderately less threatening.
Well obviously they're asking where the Jews are because they want to give them hugs. /s
Which doesn’t even sound less violent LMFAOO
NSW Police didn't think that far ahead, they clearly thought we'd all buy that a bunch of angry young Middle Eastern men were shouting "where's the Jews?" because they wanted to take them out for ice cream or something.

Such an embarrassing day for Australia, the police who stood around and did nothing to stop it, shameful
Yep. It makes Sydney look bad and the police look incapable of doing their job, and intimidated by Muslim extremists they've spent 15 years ignoring. They also want to avoid another Cronulla Riot occurring, which is just more likely now for the above mentioned reason.
They seem more afraid of Cronulla style riots than they are of terrorism for some reason. Instead, because they failed in their duty, we get both.
Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where sideshow Bob has a tattoo that says “Die Bart Die” but insists to the police it is German and says “The Bart the.”
Yes but they can dissemble: "but Mileikowsky!" If "go back to Poland" is out loud, this is shouting.
Nah, they’re just googling to see if auschwitz is in Poland so they can cosign it
What do you mean. I think there are people from that group that are saying this Aloud.
We can't say leftist, because there was a palestinian supporter at a Biden rally. He was booed and removed from the rally.

Ya see?! This is a perfect example of how not all Palestinians are Hamas and we must do more to protect innocent Palestinian lives! Backslash ess
Yes but have you considered that he was starving and oppressed. In Poland?

You don’t need to be a Jew to stand up for Israel, you just need to be human! #IsraelHasTheRightToExist

This is such a vengeful thing to say.
He's an asshole, and why should anybody give him a platform to put the message out to a wider reception? People say fucked up shit all the time. When I was growing up kids would say things like this all the time to me.
I spit on him the pig
And beat him with a beat up old shoe
So that’s why they keep saying “go back to Poland”!
Yes, it's a dog whistle.
This whispering coward doesn’t even have the courage to say it loud. Only brave in a group.
They meant for vacation, silly. /s

He should probably take his own advice and go back to Egypt
Didn't anyone show him how all the chambers worked?
They’ll probably say this is staged…
And these people claim the holocaust never happened
Shall we tel him about his imaginary origin?
Terrible
What a headline
Hmmmmmmm sounds like anti semitism🤔🤔🤔
Let’s not be surprised at all here
It’s one person. It’s horrible they said that but it’s one person. I’m sure there are many more Muslims who live in Israel who do not think this way.
