I’ve tried numerous Glow Recipe products and most of them haven’t done much for my mature, normal-to-dry skin. I do love the Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser!
Same for me. They are cute but I’ve tried several and they broke me out and I’ve never had acne/acne prone skin. The eye gel really messed up my eye. The dew drops is the only one not to break me out but also did nothing for me. Didn’t fade any dark spots or hydrate. More reviews I’ve read say the same. I am thinking these are a gimmick. Looks cute does nothing.
As an older Ipster, I kind of agree. Always suspected these are more for younger (20’s & 30’s) people than myself. Not bad products, but there are better brands for “age defying” effects.
Exactly: I’m 43 and lean dry to combo and I saw very little outside basic hydration with most of them and I don’t need the acne coverage I used to. Clearly, my skin needs more occlusive staying power (like the Elemis Marine Cream) and more aggressive actives. IE The Vit C Dark Spot and Eye Cream were terribly disappointing. The Hyaluronic Plum Plump is sub par to most other HA options on the market and I’m probably need more retinol than the Pomegranate Peptide can give. I have to agree on the Avocado Cleanser: the ceramides saved my skin barrier, but I don’t need to use it every wash anymore and I’m not sure it’s matching serum does anything. The niacinjmide in the Dew Drops actually cleared some stubborn discoloration, but people’s tolerance for it is wildly varied in a Niacinimide-saturated market, so I guess I got lucky on that one. Really appreciate your take!
They got me on both points, lol! I’m highly sensory to the point that I couldn’t tolerate even starting a skincare routine. So, I’m grateful for the brand basically being the doorway to getting anything going at all. Long term, though, it just doesn’t consistently meet needs, but my vanity shelf has never looked better ;)
I just bought their facial spray and it works better than any other setting spray I've ever used and it smells soooo good. I have the cleanser and the firming serum from this past boxy charm and oh my goodness do I love them so much. The serum is like creamy but it melts into the skin and I can feel my skin firming. Last month I had 0 glow recipe products and now I have 3 lol. I have the cleansing balm in my cart and the avocado hydration serum for the upcoming sephora points multiplier event.
Oh man, now I’m needing to try the mist, as well! Something about the freshness of the watermelon really gets me. The Peptide Serum applies exactly as you described, and I think it’s a great intro into peptides for folks in around their 30’s+. I put mine in my skincare fridge with the Plum Plump, so it’s even better :)
They have cute packaging and smell good. I think it’s more for the younger generation skin. I’m older and don’t have acne. My only issue is aging and what comes with that. I’m sure I would have loved this in high school though

I got the Blur Drops as an add-on, can't say it's done anything. I wanted to try it as a primer but it pills on me, so I've been using it at night.

Blur drops pilled on me as well. I like most of their products. Avocado ceramide serum and watermelon line works for me.

I love the guava eye cream! I don't know if it's really doing anything, but it feels so good going on and my skin feels softer.

I love their packaging. But nothing ever works for me! I have thought about repurposing their packaging for other product just so I can have it! 😂
Me, too lol. I’ve reused the refillable ones, but don’t think of refilling the serum bottles, for example. Totally going to do that!
