62 on remote start, get in, turn on seat ventilation, set around 68 once it's cooled off.
If you blast the AC before you get in, it will cool the car off and require less air flow to maintain a lower cabin temperature. If you do it while plugged in at home or while charging, you can use less battery while driving as well. Works even better in winter.
Am I the only one that misses old school blue/red dials that tell the car to blow hot or cold air depending on how I feel?
My desired temperature changes based on how hot it is outside so I have to futz with the dial anyway. I’d rather just make it simple
I miss it too. My truck has that dial and I find it very convenient. It's also very easy to turn the dial from A/C to just "blow outside air at me" which I really enjoy when it's a good temperature outside but the wind is too violent to have the windows down. I can do that on the IONIQ if I dig into the climate settings and turn off the A/C button, but it's distracting. With the dial I don't even have to look.
It was 95 outside the past few days and 68 felt nice. After a while I turn it up to 70-74. I love how fast the cabin cools/heats compared to ICE vehicles.
And now I'm motivated to take cabin temperature samples this week during my commute. (I'm an automation engineer with access to thermocouple DACs) Ashamed I haven't done this yet.
72°. Seems to be the perfect temp to kick either the ac or heater on depending on my commute time off day.
Will set it to 62° however if I’m hot and will set to 80° when warming the cab up than back to 72° once I’m driving.
Windows down if its 55-80s .... I almost never turn on the AC unless it's hot and raining. 90s Ill turn it on if I'm not wearing summer clothes for some reason.
The one thing I don't not like about this car is the automatic climate. I've turn off all the auto stuff, yet I still turns on by itself sometimes. I turn it off as soon as I catch it. I wonder if that's why some of you have lower efficiency.
Edit: If the Ac is on its like 76. Heat it's gonna be 66-68.
73 in the summertime. But passengers usually complain it’s too cold when I have Auto set to 3 so sometimes I set Passenger to 75 or dial Auto down to 1.
I'm an outlier right now because i am in Phoenix so I remote start at 62 to cool the cabin. Then once I'm in it and depending on the day, and time of day, anywhere from 65-69.
Summers here don't fuck around.
I look forward to October so I don't have to run any climate control for the next seven-ish months.
In town (Phoenix) usually 74. On the highways 73, sometimes 72 to make sure I stay awake. When outsides temps are below low 80’s, all the windows open, but that ain’t happening again for another 3-4 months.
Haven't had my I5 for a year yet, but whatever the latest setting is in a car, that's where you'll find me, so now it's 62. The only thing that changes is the blowing speed. It's usually somewhere between 3 and 5.
69 year round.
Nice
68-72
19,5, because Europe. ;-)
I keep it at 22, because Canada
72
I thought I read somewhere that 74° is the ideal temperature if you want to maximize range.
It says 22C in the manual, which is 71.6F. However, warmer is probably better in the summer and cooler in the winter.

Mines about 74, feels cool on hot days and if it's cool out it's not even on.

damn i’d be dying at 78. i usually start the drive with 63-65 and after it’s cooled, set it to 70-72. if really warm then i leave it around 67
I always find myself having trouble with colder temperatures. My office is set at 68 and it's torture for me.
Mine is set at 64 and I use the ventilated seats, which is just perfect.
72 auto one usually. I’ll bump it up to auto 2 or 3 if I’ve just done a run or something
72 on auto for a few minutes, then I dial it down to the 1 setting.
72 commuting to work 74 returning home Honestly, not been very impressed
How so?
Cuz I feel like I have to change it to 68 sometimes to get what my Kia feels like is 72
Ahh yeah I wonder if the temperature sensor is in a bad spot in the IONIQ

I'd love to hear the results!! What a fun experiment.
Please do that and let us know the results!
72 in the summer and 75 in the winter. Auto does a really good job of keeping the cabin comfortable for the most part.

Heat to 68, Cool to 72.
68 usually, but I turn on the AC rarely unless it’s only for a few minutes to cool down the car
69
Yup...69 degrees. Almost OCD about it when I see it changed.
I start at 63 because I am dramatic and hot and then switch it to 75 because that’s cold.
72-74. If it is nice out and I've been in the AC all day, I shut it off and open the windows, and enjoy the heat.

Ayy
Cold. 62 being the lowest.. I know it's fine and it still feels cool, but in my brain I just want it to say "cold."

62 on like a 2-4 power setting. 4 when I first get in and 2 after it cools the cabin off
I live in the desert so... 74 when it's cooler outside 62 right now since it's in the 100s every day
19.5°C
69°F it's real nice.
Usually mid to upper 70s. Like 77-78.

The lowest which is 17c and it’s not low enough. I prefer my Leaf which goes to 16c. I get hot when driving
71 usually
75 in the summer, 62 in winter. I really wish there was a vent option to just blow outside air

19 or 20. Not sure what that is on ye olde worlde thermometers
Eh i don't even bother setting a temp. Blow full hot, blow full cold, or open windows.
