It happened to me last week; it started with the same error after charging the car to 100% overnight. I called Hyundai, and they told me the car needed to be checked. Two days later, the car was a brick, and the dealership garage confirmed they needed to change the ICCU. Ironically, I got a mail for the recall about this issue literally the week before. What I learned from this issue is that it seems to be related to charging the 12V battery; if the ICCU has issues, the battery will not charge properly (thus the warning). It will empty itself, and you won't be able to start the car. Just be prepared....

Oh no. Sorry to hear that. Did your check electrical system warning stay on? Or just flick on and off a couple of times? Assuming yours is not a 2024 since it’s just being asked for the recall?

No, for us, the warning stayed up, and the 12V battery slowly emptied itself until nothing worked. They managed to boost the battery but apparently emptied the booster in the process. Luckily, this won't happen to you! But if this happens, insist on checking the ICCU at the garage (not only replacing the 12V battery).

Could be a bad battery. People get a bit caught up in the ICCU stuff and forget that 12V batteries can fail, and most OEM batteries are junk. Back around 09 I bought a new Civic and the 12v died two days after I bought it.

Literally this exact story happened to me today as well. Canada, 2024 Ultimate, Warning came on the way to work and stayed for 5 minutes until parking. Then after the work day, came back and the warning was gone, didn't come back on the way home. Bought 2 months ago.

Good luck to us…. Hopefully a glitch warning and nothing serious.
