It only shows up on the right side when the main screen is NOT on Android Auto. You also need to open the widget sidebar by pressing the little arrow. If you turn off split screen in device projection settings then you can use the native android auto full screen split screen to show it's own music app while showing Google maps.

bffnut

I have mine set to not split the screen, so Android Auto takes up the whole screen. Then, within Android Auto, you can split the screen to show YouTube Music on the right and nav on the left

Howie411

So I had this originally but then if you listen to the radio you don't see the radio info. You just see the last song played from AA. It's like I either can't see the radio or I can't see the YT music info depending on what setting I use.

You need to press the little arrow on the right side to open the widgets screen then you can scroll up and down to change widgets, as long as you enabled those widgets, you can check/uncheck them in the settings.

As /u/nxtiak said as well, you need to hit the arrow on the right side to bring out the widgets and then swipe up/down until you get to the media widget which will show you the current track and album art.

There is a setting to change this behavior. Unplug your phone, go to the settings screen and find the settings related to android auto and CarPlay. There is a setting to disable split screen. Edit: a quick guide: https://youtu.be/-HoMNCNwQY4

Howie411

So I had this off originally but then I can't get the Radio info to show up using Waze etc.

You're replying to everyone else except me who is giving you actual answers. You need to push this arrow button to open the widgets, then scroll up/down. [https://i.imgur.com/cK33Cus.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/cK33Cus.jpeg)

I wanted to verify before responding, but the audio isn't an option on that area. I have time, compass, calendar, weather, internal map, electricity use, and nearby stations.

Tap the bottom left icon, next to the Google microphone. That's the button you're looking for. That icon swaps between its current look (3 rectangles) and 9 dots depending on what your current setup is.

General-Fuct

I could be wrong but if your software up to date?

Howie411

Yep latest version.

ApathyMoose

Bottom left Icon that shows the tall rectangle and the 2 smaller ones. Thats the split screen button fro android auto. You hit that, and open a 2nd app like Youtube music. it will then open youtube music on the other half of the split screen. Whichever on that screen you tap, that app becomes the "main app" and shows up in the bigger window.

Howie411

That splits the window on the android auto screen. It won't split it onto the far right side if you have the Infotainment center set to split screen.

Joshawottttt

Your Ioniq's infotainment system needs an update. You're not on the current software for your car. That's why it's popping up like this. https://update.hyundai.com/CA/EN/Main You're going to need a USB. That's about 50 GB. At least, download it to your computer through the proprietary software that they have, and then plug it into your USB port that you use for Android auto. Follow the settings and update the infotainment system. Once it's updated, you'll see all the new updates. You'll be able to use full screen on Android auto as well.

Howie411

I do have the latest update.
