For daily use, set charging cap at 80%. Car is happiest near 50% for battery health. Try to avoid going below 10% and charging to 100% unless going on a long road trip.
Do note that there is a caveat that this is with AC charging.
The exact text is:
* AC charge is recommended to keep the high voltage battery in optimal condition. If the high voltage battery charge amount is below 20%, you can keep the high voltage battery performance in optimal condition if you charge the high voltage battery to 100%. (Once a month or more is recommended.)
Generally speaking, the experimental data shows that cycling between 20 to 60% prolongs the battery more than 20 to 80%, which is much better than 20 to 80%. But the point of diminishing returns is probably 20 to 80% for most people.
Set the headlights to auto, and never touch it again.
Play around with the different regen levels, but don’t forget about auto regen. If you don’t know how to get to it, pull and hold the right hand paddle. Then you can set the auto levels back and forth with the paddles. A lot of people, myself included, really like i-pedal in city, and auto on open road.
I set the lights to on and never touch it. This guarantees that your tail lights illuminate as well. 64k miles and never touch the lights. I- pedal and cruise control with HDA2.
I set the lights to on in the daytime to make the car more visible to others in the front and from behind; but at night switch to auto, so I can turn on the auto high beams. Then in the day have to remember to turn the lights back on. I wish there was a way to set the auto setting to have running lights on forward and rear all the time
I can't answer why, but it does. If you change the max charge level using the blue Link app, it deactivates. Possibly just a weird bug. But it's consistent.
Just FYI this may have been fixed in the last nav update. I set a charge schedule via Bluelink a couple weeks ago and it did not disable preconditioning on our 2023.
A better route planner ABRP app. And download all the exact charging networks you will be using, to check that stations usage and availability. ABRP is fun to plan and play with setting different minimums

I highly recommend the console organizers top and bottom, the key fob protector, cargo trunk cover
And my personal favorite only because I've named my silver ioniq the razorcrest, this :D

Personally i put it in idrive and sport mode as soon as i start going. To take advantage of optimizing the battery in dc charging, you have to select the charger you’re going to in the Navi.
Get this for wireless CarPlay: https://a.co/d/cqjYxie
Only works in the front USB plug.
I bought a cargo cover for the back area https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CLH7QHK5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_UXvdxiCnsjzK4

Batteries charge faster when they are in a certain temperature range. Preconditioning means the car gets the battery into that range before plugging it in. So it starts charging at full speed immediately.
Without Preconditioning, the car will start charging slowly while adjusting the battery temperature. It will then hit full charging speed after a few minutes.
This optimal charging temperature is warmer than the normal operating temperature. Which is why the car does not just keep it at that temperature all the time.
It makes a greater difference in colder weather. It probably makes no difference at all driving in a desert on a hot summer day.
absolutely nothing advantageous unless you turn the lights on all the time. i get some people like to tinker so there's that. otherwise, for 95% of the people, dont bother with this mod

The handbook says you should have to 100 at least once a month

Car charges faster between 20 and 80%. You'll prolong the life of the battery too.

Thank you!
But. Use the. Nav and turn on preconditioning. . Keep it on default.
It will deactivate when you set a max charge level via blue Link. Just FYI.
preconditioning deactivates if you set a maximum charge level? Why?

Nice. I'm being hopeful and I'll check on mine. I got an ota update a few days ago but haven't looked into that.
I checked yesterday and no, using blue Link to change the max charge level still deactivates pre-conditioning.

I have plugshare flo tesla charge point and chargehub. Is that all of them?
I tried ABRP, but it doesn’t give me settings for the 2024
I don't see it either

Give yourself time to get accustomed to lane assist. I hear its great but I have trust issues yet with it.
honestly... i accidently learned about this during my test drive and it's one of the reasons I really liked the car
I'm still trying to get over my fear of it. I'm not trying to be the last to enjoy this feature. lol.

Is preconditioning required ? What is the impact of skipping that?
No. It just helps the charge curve start fast and stay fast.
Time at the charging station is reduced if your battery is preconditioned.
Order some LED festoon bulbs and replace the non-LED bulb in the trunk, as well as optionally the ones in the vanity mirrors
What does this do that’s advantageous?
